    Klay is in the wrong here. The org backed him through his injuries, offered him good money, and let him start way longer than he should have been, and let him bully shots from Wiggins and kuminga.
    If he feels wronged, he’s wrong

      The only reason the Warriors made the play in was because Kerr gave his minutes to BP, Santos , and Quinones. Thompson’s legs are literally disappearing.

    Please listen to Tim Legler people, he is a great basketball mind! If Klay wants to leave you let him, he has earned that right. However,the Warriors have also earned the right to do what is best for their franchise, remember this is an organization that paid Klay Thompson for over 2yrs and received nothing back during that period. But here is what Klay Thompson has to realize, he can leave for more years and money but is a year and 5 to 10 million worth what you would be leaving. No coach knows Klay like Steve Kerr, no teammates know and accept his personality like Steph, Dray, Looney, etc. No organization/owners will support Klay like the Warriors…..and even more importantly there is not a team or organization active right now that has the mentality and championship DNA of the Warriors or longevity (4 rings) as do the Warriors! You are not getting that with Orlando, Lakers, Clippers, Denver or any of these other teams I am hearing are interested in throwing a bag at Klay! The grass always looks greener on the other side until you get there and look back and see it was actually greener where I was! So Klay think long and hard and beyond the money before you make a decision…. But whatever you decide, I will respect and you will always be a Warrior in my eyes and one half of the Greatest Backcourt in the history of basketball as well as a member of one of the greatest teams ever assembled in that of the 2017 Golden State Warrior Team! Go Warriors!!!!

    • @Chrispd2005
      @Chrispd2005 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Grass doesn't have to be greener as long as the money is greater than Draymond Green money. I think Klay gave the warriors his entire leg within 3 years. I think the warriors don't respect klay because of injuries. When they are great its klay to give them that extra push. Curry set the tone. Draymond plays post defense, but klay was the best two-way player in the nba scored without dribbling, meaning he scored within the flow of offense. Mark Jackson was the creator him and Jerry West, not Steve Kerr he the figurehead. Jerry west drafted klay, draymond, and KD via free agency.

    I love Klay Thompson, but MAN! You got paid $66MIL+ to sit at home and rehab. You were paid the years you played prior. This was not an IOU. You had a chance to put up elite numbers in 2023 and your performance in the Playin was atrocious. Three years @ $18MIL/year is more than fair to retire a Warrior and Champion. $320MIL is not too shabby for a career. At $18MIL a year and releasing Chris Paul, the Warriors will have the $12.9MIL mid-level exception which will hopefully bring in a solid role player. Solid team to make a run for another Championship! But money is money, go get your bigger bag even though you have more bags than you can spend in a lifetime. Love ya, Klay! Best wishes wherever you may end up.

And that’s fine, if the man’s priority is max money, that’s his choice. If he wants to contend, he needs to consider the new CBA and fit in somewhere at a team friendly price. Klay's problem today is the new salary cap rules. Implementing the new "apron" system has, by plan, made things very difficult for teams overspending. Namely, the Golden State Warriors. Klay is ignoring the fact that the money CANNOT flow freely anymore. he basically grew up in the league during a time of exorbitant spending on the biggest spending organization for the last decade. And the league won't allow that kind of spending anymore. Spend Spend Spend. Klay is spoiled and his emotions have made him unable to see the facts.
    I, like Zach, want to see Klay, Dray and Steph play on the same team into retirement. But, if Klay can't see the forest for the trees, then such is life.

    We have all these championship contending teams will allstar to superstar guards. Having klay and curry in the floor at the same time nowadays are a detriment to their defense. kuminga should be getting 30+ minutes but instead klay is taking his minutes. Moody is still more of an unknown than kuminga but warriors should at least experiment with his talent before giving up on him.

    The problem is that alot of older players are looking at things through the OLD CBA. But, as Marlo said, "You want it to be one way, but it's the OTHER way" - The new CBA locks down salary caps and strips older, LOYAL players from getting that "Kobe Contract" rewarding them for their years with the team. If Klay wants to stay with Golden State, his best model is Miami's UD. If he wants to grab a bag, then there are plenty of teams willing to pay $$$ for 2yrs of an 80% Klay. If he wants another RING?!? Good fkn luck!

However as a 6th man, 20 million is probably the max deal. I would love to see him at Dallas. He would definitely get a ton of shots, without having to move as much.

Also Steve Kerr is not running a triangle offense no more he’s running an offense that is stagnant and doesn’t even work. He needs to go back to the triangle office. He should want to keep clay Thompsonbecause he’s a better shooter than Steve Kerr ever would be so at the end of the day we will take him the Lakers.
