I have no idea why... but this has always been my favorite Coldplay song. I can barely choose because I love them all, but this one just touches my heart on a whole other level.
When you feel you should move away from a bad relationship and you know what you should do. And you don’t through fear of loneliness or whatever you don’t. So I crawl back into your open arms..
The first 3 albums of Coldplay were complete magic. My top 3 favourite Coldplay songs have always been Warning Sign, Moses, and Amsterdam. With that being said, a Rush of Blood to the Head is obviously my favourite Coldplay album. I think Coldplay has modernized so much to today’s pop genre that they have buried what made them great in the first place. I hope Coldplay keeps going and goes back to to their roots. Such a very talented band and no one can deny that.
Totally agree, but I lean X&Y. An entire era of perfection…but picking one seems cruel. The other two eras would be anyone else’s apex. I like Viva La Vida the album, but the tour introduced too many gimmicks. It was a slow decline from there for me.
I completely agree, but I would include Viva in that. It was different, but an incredible kind of different. Songs like 42, Violet Hill, and the ending of the album blow me away, but even then, X and Y is still my favorite album. Today's Coldplay is just trying to stay relevant instead of making top notch music. And the truth is......THAT I MISS THEEEEMM SOOOO....
sometimes you just don't need the best voice in the world, but know how to transmit all those feelings through your voice. that's what Chris does. he has a wonderful voice, not the most powerful one, but he can make you feel his music. truly an artist!
This version is scary beautiful. Warning Sign was one of the first Coldplay songs I'd ever started to like, then from there, I just went berserk and am OBSESSED with them. They are my entire life. And although I totally support their new album and theme, I too miss the days when they dressed in casual clothes and made absolutely incredible music without any led lights or graffiti. Coming from a 12 year old.
Miss this Coldplay, I remember first hearing them in 2001 for the first time. I was hooked, I ended up buying all the albums up until mylo. This song brings back good memories from my past, when my grandfather was alive.
I actually like how Coldplay gives us so much variety. I love every single one of their albums, including Mylo Xyloto, and how each of them have different sounds. It's like when you hear one of their songs you can almost tell to which album it belongs to. They're all great. Coldplay is great!
A warning sign I missed the good part, then I realized I started looking and the bubble burst I started looking for excuses Come on in I've gotta tell you what a state I'm in I've gotta tell you in my loudest tones That I started looking for a warning sign When the truth is I miss you Yeah the truth is That I miss you so A warning sign It came back to haunt me, and I realized That you were an island and I passed you by When you were an island to discover Come on in I've gotta tell you what a state I'm in I've gotta tell you in my loudest tones That I started looking for a warning sign When the truth is I miss you Yeah the truth is That I miss you so And I'm tired I should not have let you go So I crawl back into your open arms Yes I crawl back into your open arms And I crawl back into your open arms Yes I crawl back into your open arms
Like how the Beatles started with "from me to you" and then almost ending with stuff like "octopus' garden" we will love ColdPlay. Anyone or any group who knows their potential will never stay stagnant, will never be satisfied with their accomplishments.. always an always they will strive to learn new things but still keeping their oldselves inside them.
My dad died 2 years ago and my life hasn't been the same since. I miss him so much and nothing ever makes it better. I just want the time back with him that I know I'll never get. This song makes me think of him. Funny it was released on his birthdsy 19 years ago. I wish I could hug him again, just crawl back in to his open arms 💔 miss you forever dad 😢
This is the real Coldplay in all its glory. Don't get me wrong, some songs of the newest albums are really good, but that's not the real spirit of what Coldplay is. THIS is what Coldplay's true essence is about. Simple songs, made not for bragging about how good musicians they are, not to gain popular attention, or to be the 1st place of the most listened bands of the world; this is music for the soul, that reaches the deepest spot of your mind and makes it fall in love with their simple chords and lyrics which charm the very last one of your neurons; That's what the Real Coldplay was about, and they have lost all their Magic, Lyrics and Beauty. What a shame. Edit: I posted this commentary about 4 years ago. By that time, Coldplay's latest release was A Head Full of Dreams and I only liked 2-3 songs from it. For those who say "I'm not a real Coldplay fan" or "I have no idea what I'm talking about", most people agree that Ghost Stories and AHFOD are Coldplay's weaker albums; I've read those commentaries multiple times here and there, I've talked with a lot of people about the topic and have rarely heard anything different, it's been pretty consistent over the years. I do not, by any means, hate the newest albums, I believe they're good for what they are; but compared to Parachutes, AROBTTH, X&Y and so on, they're just not that good and I don't believe that makes me less of a fan than anyone just for having a different opinion on the matter. And for the record, I absolutely adored Everyday Life in its entirety, and I am eager to listen to Music of the Spheres (even though I didn't like My Universe ft BTS).
Isaac Urias Johnny Buckland would disagree. Plus Chris Martin said they already made "that" album when he was asked if Coldplay would return to a Parachutes sound.
What an amazing catalogue of songs, thank goodness they didn’t make the same album again and again, different moods need different albums, and we have them all to listen to when we want.
This is that kind of song that touchs anyone a lot… I lost a friend of mine a couple of days ago (depression) and this tune took me to the last time we met each other… Rest in peace, my dear Miro Neto 🇧🇷
For me, this is the best non single coldplay love song ever. This change in the melody and on the album the guitar that sounds so dreamy. Not to forget the last "arms" which conveys the sound really well how to bring this sad thought to an end. Goosebumps 🤍
I have to admit that if I had choose between the first 3 albums and the last two albums, I would choose the first 2. But I saw them in June in Dallas and was completely blown away. I also was very encouraged by Mylo Xyloto in comparison to Viva La Vida. There are quite a few songs which tell me the "old" Colplay is still alive and well. Charlie Brown, Us Against the World, UFO, Up with the Birds, all have the feel of early Coldplay.
This is one of my favourite songs of Coldplay. It's very special, and brings me a notalgic but cold feeling. It's very hard to explain. There are something in the way Chris sings it. I listen to this song since i was a kid. I miss this Coldplay so much.
even though coldplay kinda changed their sound a bit over the years, i mean their songs still sound the same in a way. like they still give you that same feeling of euphoria and sadness at the same time, even if its a little more produced or whatever. i for one am glad they've gotten this far along without having to change that much
this song is an obvious scar event in his life which he decided to write about. I saw him sing this Live in Edmonton a few year back and he broke down in tears at the end of it. I sure wish he'd write more stuff from the heart and less fluff that he's been doing in the last few years
Brian Jacobsen I broke down in tears for a couple of years, every time I heard that song. I still love her but I made process. Today I listen to that song with a smile on my face. This is pure love. Ivy I'm sorry for hurting you for years, my ego is gone now, all the best and tons of love for your life. Thank you Coldplay for the most touching song ever made!
Wow. This just shows how much heart and emotion Coldplay puts into their music. We feel what Chris feels when he sings. We feel what they all feel when deep, dark chords and sounds piece together like in this song. It's just an experience to listen to Coldplay.
Chris said it in an interview that all he wants to spread is happiness, that's why he is trying hard to overcome all the dark phases of his life.cMaybe that's why we would never here these type of songs in concerts anymore. It's for his own good! Being a coldplay lover id never want him to fall in depression while singing these soulful song again.
A warning sign... I miss the old coldplay then i realize... I started looking for the older songs... I started looking for older albums... --- When the truth is... I miss you... Yeah the truth is... I miss you... Sooo...
Thank you! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. If MX was so bad, then why did Coldplay gain innumerable amounts of fans with Paradise and Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall? They're just amazing, no matter how much they explore :)
This is marvellous . I really love all You do . It has such a feeling and and the music is out of the blue. This is what is Coldplay. When I don't listen to you I really miss youuuuu very deeply. Oh my....... lovely 🌹❤️🇦🇷🇬🇧
Coldplay is my favorite band ever. They're just so amazing to me and their music is just so touching. I will say i like their old stuff better, but i'm still a fan of their new music too. I will forever be a fan of the best band in the world.
They played this song in their very first concert in Mexico City (2003) and thanks to this song I kissed an argentinian lady I met in that concert . I never heard of her again . Regards Jessica, anywhere you are ❤
@madinthehead You're right.I think it's one of their most underrated songs.I remember seeing them live back in either it was 03 or 04 when they were touring for AROBTTH and all I kept thinking God I hope they play Warning Sign and they did! Love this song and love Coldplay, especially their first two albums.
Warning sign is my favorite song and A Rush of Blood to the Head is my favorite album! You know, I still LOVE Coldplay, but I miss the time that the guys just wore black clothes and made a terrific gig, being just themselves! Simplicity is the best!
I have no idea why... but this has always been my favorite Coldplay song. I can barely choose because I love them all, but this one just touches my heart on a whole other level.
Violet Daisy me too!!
It's my favorite song too!
I think it is my favourite
I love this too,

I so fuckin agree with this comment...
2001-2006 was best Coldplay. So many memories, dammit.
I couldn’t agree more and have said this exact same thing verbatim. The front three albums are perfection.
1000% agree with you.
Totally agree, but I lean X&Y. An entire era of perfection…but picking one seems cruel. The other two eras would be anyone else’s apex. I like Viva La Vida the album, but the tour introduced too many gimmicks. It was a slow decline from there for me.

Who hasn't been able to relate to this song at one point or another?
lrtx82 its really emotional
100%
I did very much
Who doesn't cry every time they hear it?
The mix of hopelessness, melancholy and regret has never been worded as good as this song.
sometimes you just don't need the best voice in the world, but know how to transmit all those feelings through your voice. that's what Chris does. he has a wonderful voice, not the most powerful one, but he can make you feel his music. truly an artist!
He's vocal range is far one of the most unique in music industry
I bet even they wouldn't believe they'd be making an electronic pop song 14 years later. God how I miss Coldplay's guitar days. Still love em tho
Christian Evangelista or piano days
Well they kinda go back to the old sound with their new Album “Everyday Life”
@@maxgraide70 my album of 2019
@@jvkingempanad Mine too !!
@@jvkingempanad Yes that album was so good
prob the best song they ever did.....
one of them man, not to reduce its greatness, but coldplay made a LOT of amazing songs
this and shiver and what if and and and ahhahahahah
Yep... gotta agree with you. I love a lot of their songs, but theres just something about this one that stands out.
Weird. I think the same
Not Prob, that is sure.
that bassline is what this song is all about

The last 30 seconds of this song always brought me to tears...
So I craaaaawwwwllll baaaaack into your open arms 😣😢
For real😢😢😢
Hope you're doing fine
The last section of this music video transcends me into another dimension😢
I wish one day we could listen to the whole "a rush of blood to the head" album live. 😢
That would be the best concert ever
Watch Live 2003
A warning sign
I missed the good part, then I realized
I started looking and the bubble burst
I started looking for excuses
Come on in
I've gotta tell you what a state I'm in
I've gotta tell you in my loudest tones
That I started looking for a warning sign
When the truth is
I miss you
Yeah the truth is
That I miss you so
A warning sign
It came back to haunt me, and I realized
That you were an island and I passed you by
When you were an island to discover
Come on in
I've gotta tell you what a state I'm in
I've gotta tell you in my loudest tones
That I started looking for a warning sign
When the truth is
I miss you
Yeah the truth is
That I miss you so
And I'm tired
I should not have let you go
So I crawl back into your open arms
Yes I crawl back into your open arms
And I crawl back into your open arms
Yes I crawl back into your open arms
Not sure if this is one of their best songs, but it certainly is one of my favorites. Almost anyone can relate to the lyrics.
The beauty of the chords. Genius, simplified.
This is 20 years old this is 2023 beautiful song I love Chris martin and coldplay they are magical ✨️ 💖 💛 😍
Coldplay was on a different level in the 2000’s.
My dad died 2 years ago and my life hasn't been the same since. I miss him so much and nothing ever makes it better. I just want the time back with him that I know I'll never get. Couldn't agree with you more. What i'd give for them to release another Rush of Blood or Parachutes.
Oh man, so true, I miss that so much.
We can only hope, right? It's possible.. maybe they will come to realize how many original old fans would appreciate it.
***** I hope they do someday, I'd cry of happiness
Isaac Urias Johnny Buckland would disagree. Plus Chris Martin said they already made "that" album when he was asked if Coldplay would return to a Parachutes sound.
Damn he hit those notes just about perfect. One of the better performances.
one of their best songs IMO
This is the Coldplay i fell in love with, i truly love their old songs and the passion they put into it.
The truth is that I miss that Coldplay
This is coldplays most beautiful song.
What an amazing catalogue of songs, thank goodness they didn’t make the same album again and again, different moods need different albums, and we have them all to listen to when we want.
I agree. Still wish they make another parachutes-like album :D
This is that kind of song that touchs anyone a lot… I lost a friend of mine a couple of days ago (depression) and this tune took me to the last time we met each other… Rest in peace, my dear Miro Neto 🇧🇷
When I first heard this song, it was long ago, I felt so in love... with Coldplay... what a feeling... oh dear...
their old performances are so comforting
just the "and I'm tired...." 😭❤😍
This song get me through tough times back in the day. fav. song

The best performance of Warning Sign I've ever seen :')

i LOVE Coldplay!
and the truth is I miss you so..💖😘
so much that it hurts (from 'ink' lol)

4:59 sounds so nice i almost wish he did that on the album
i like the way Chris Martin plays the guitar. Its as if his making love to it, with his hand motion. Absolutely perfect

I grew up with coldplay and have loved them for 14 years
Those acoustic guitars are some of the best sounding ones I have heard!
this song is an obvious scar event in his life which he decided to write about. I saw him sing this Live in Edmonton a few year back and he broke down in tears at the end of it. I sure wish he'd write more stuff from the heart and less fluff that he's been doing in the last few years

OMG how i miss this coldplay :( i still loving the band, but the old coldplay is the best
I agree!! I love Coldplay no matter what. Their songs are artfully written and they haven't had one bad song by far!!!
I always loved when they played this live, the acoustic guitar part especially. It reminds me a little of Unwell by Matchbox Twenty
My fave
Amazing song. Wished they played it more often.
Coldplay is my favorite band ever. They're just so amazing to me and their music is just so touching. I will say i like their old stuff better, but i'm still a fan of their new music too. I will forever be a fan of the best band in the world.
Saw them in June of last year, packed stadium. They were awesome!! Old and new songs, one big sing along 😊
O meu grupo preferido, vos amo muito essa música faz lembrar muito coisa e toca profundamente o meu coração❤❤❤

such a nice song
Thank you.
Like the music ..like the moment
I love these guys so freaking much
they did not have to go there. there was no need for them to do this but they did and I am shaking my head and crying, this is so good.
Yes, they really did, I know either 😢👏🏻
Absolutely flawless.
