Parachutes is so different from all of their other albums. I love mostly everything they made till Mylo. Even after Mylo I like everything they made but the songs in their first 4-5 albums were just magic. When I started listening to coldplay it was basically only Yellow and then directly went to Rush of blood and X&Y but when i explored the parachutes album It became my favourite. Feels like it is very underrated. It's not only Yellow that is good but songs like shiver, spies, Don't panic, Trouble and ofcourse my favourite from this album We never change all are amazing. It's so different from the stuff that they make today. I don't dislike their new stuff but man I loved this old coldplay so much. If only they made another album like parachutes.
They need a more stripped, acoustic album. This album is my favourite too (Close send to Rush of Blood), but each song on Parachutes was so raw. (Don't forget Sparks btw!)

That freaking song is hard af. even if it looks simple, he mastered the guitar even on his early days and I admire him because here I am trying to do the same for 1 year and can't get the sound I want.

Yeah, no, ok. I get their desire to outdo themselves, but they kind of dumbed down their lyrics and their sound, there are still acceptable songs but most is mediocre, especially after Viva la Vida.
I see many contrasting words being said about Coldplay and I appreciate everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I myself feel that Coldplay have been on an evolutionary path from inception as we all are in life. From their humble beginnings to their current global success, they have managed to remain humble and grateful of all their achievements. Contrary to the message in this song, they were bound to change over time. Change and growth are a constant and inevitable certainty and I’ve followed their journey and have grown with them.
