Love this scene
good
Wick's hand is literally the "Deadman's Hand." Ace of Spades, Ace of Clubs, Eight of Spades and Eight of Clubs two pair is known as the "Deadman's Hand" in poker because it is rumored to be the hand that Wild Bill Hickok had when he was shot in the back of the head and killed. Many superstitious poker players won't play that hand for that reason.
Pussies
In the first place, who plays draw poker anymore? In the second, if they did, they would be bad poker players.
No clue what you just said but ok
I fold
Funny story about the dead man's hand. I was in deadwood and got picked to take part in a reenactment of Wild Bill's shooting. Had to sit there and play cards and drink beer for 20 minutes while the actor told the story. He sat next to me and I got dealt the dead man's hand. I leaned over and said I think this is yours. He looked at it and laughed so hard he had to stop the show for 10 minutes.
If you told me this was a scene from a Batman movie and those where Gotham villains I’d believe it. It gave me those vibes
I love Scott shit eating grin and chuckle in this. Such a good character
We not gonna talk about how the blind man knows he got 4 9s. Or how he even play poker.😂
He can probably feel the….idk what to call it
@@jayvenwilson1238 yeah because it's a load of bollocks
He gave his eyes to the High Table at some point in his life, so he may have known how to play before that. How does he know he has 4 9's? We'll never know, but maybe the difference in thickness of the card in certain places?
It's because he's blind
Caine bringing his cards very close implies he's legally blind, but might just still be able to see in some way or another. Then again, his senses seemed to be cranked up to 11, so maybe he can tell the cards apart by mere touch.
Fun fact: When Scott Atkins pulled the Ace out of the deck, it was his first try
The card game symbolizes every character's fate in the film.
John gets the "Deadman's Hand" and is the second to die of the four players.
Caine gets a good hand with 4 Nines and 1 Four, but Four is associated with death in many Asian cultures. The final credit scene shows his fate is uncertain.
Tracker gets a Royal Flush, and he and his dog survive the film's events.
Killa gets the best hand, "5 of a Kind," but he cheats and has the weakest form of that hand: 5 Twos. He dies first because he broke the rules of his own game.
Adding on to this, both John and Tracker change cards in the game and change their views throughout the film, while Caine does not.
gcse english language paper 1 question 2:
You missed two of the best part
1. I am Klaus!
2. Jaa baba yaaga.... je haha ha hja 👹👹👹
What me and my sister say to each other when we’re playing our mom at uno 6:18
I once saw him cut a man's throat at a poker game with a playing card... A freaking playing card!
I don't gamble, that "deadman's hand" give me the only meaning when John sliced him with a card when the game is over....anything in John's hand can become a weapon
I like how John Wick swears in every language except English.

That Scott Adkins fat suit has to be hot
wouldve been funny if the blind guy had King high with a bunch of low digits.
Actually, in 5 card draw, joker is considered as wild card. That means it can turn into any card hence when combine with four of a kind, the hand automatically becomes 5 of a kind and beats royal flush. So he could have used a joker card to make his 5 of a kind legit.
Funny enough, I think that might be another bit of symbolism there. See, 5 of a kind- outright cheating. But if you notice, the card that’s doubled is the 2 of spades. When you’re on the road to revenge, dig two graves, in this case with 2 spades, two for John and two for the Marquis.
It was done both as symbolism and for the audience.
Common audience may not know how to play Poker but they can understand a deck is impossible to have 5 cards of the same digit.
It also shows that Killa is a scumbag who thinks he is so in control that he insults his players with blatant cheating.
never dream of seeing kingpin in real life
With hair
I will give Scott Adkins this, he can act on top of his martial prowess. Usually it's one over the other
Best scene ever. No one ever watch the whole movie just show them this scene it will be enough them to watch entire movie and chapters lol
Is Killa sweating from the Babayaga?
Nope
The fat boss's table has a fan constantly casting moving shadows over the whole thing. That's gotta be distracting when he's just trying to answer some emails or buy some crap online. He should treat himself to a better office.
5:12 😂
Damn hollywood german at it again
