On my recent 2500 km solo ride ( Mumbai -Bangalore -Hyderabad -Pune-.Mumbai) I made it a point to start looking out for Petrol when 2 bars were left on my KTM 390 Adv (usually every 230 km or so). I also combined my refuelling break with bio break and also had a energy/protein bar and water. Saved a lot of time that way.
Excellent tips. My suggestion: If you’re travelling in a group on a long ride, make sure you know the temperament and riding habits of the group members in advance of the ride. embarking on your dream trip and developing sour feelings for your fellow riders is a trip dampener.
Dear Bulu, Beautifully explained.... I am over 55 and planning for a Ladakh trip very soon with some of my junior colleagues...on my new HUNTER (MiaCara).... Wish me LUCK.... I am the same man, your fan from Odisha, settled in Gorakhpur...
Just when one thinks that he has run out of content ideas and then he comes with this gem! Thanks Bulubhai. You need to create step by step classes on preparing beginners for long rides.
Excellent Bulu Bhai. In fact the point where u informed not to declare as a solo traveller and discuss the plan. Quite a logical work around, which has come from your experience. I will add this to my list of DOs... Thank you again.
Never thought I will save this video, but did anyway for some gems of suggestions. Saved to my lists cause, I cannot bookmark. Loved them for practicality.
The last one is a pro tip that many ignore. Excellent tips Bulu bhai. Being a beginner I'll make sure to follow whatever you've instructed to do on a long trip.
Try to become a person who can go to a destination and enjoy it don't try to become a record breaker. Always know and respect your limits and increase it gradually (Simple hai, nahi hota hai to rukk jaao kal kar lena jabardasti nahi karo😊)
Very good video. Good practical tips and safety tips. I personally also follow the 6AM to 6PM rule. It is good for safety and also practical in case something goes wrong.
Two points i follow, even when i am riding solo. (1) Before starting the ride, spend 5 min to discuss the day's plan. Especially about maintaining safety distance between riders, and what is to be done if riders go missing. In a group, i always make it a point to stop at every toll plaza and account for every rider. (2) Puncture repair kit, and how to use it. Might come handy for other riders too
Hey Bulu, Tnx for sharing. Well put together. Yes, they do seem like small things, but these small things could develop into larger/bigger things! Keep bringing is such unique content. Ride safe & tc.
I think every rider should install a cigarette socket in it's Bike and carry electronic pump. It helped me a lot.... and Bulu bhai one more thing i think will be very helpful is Fog light....
aap ke thought ekdom mere jaisa ha bulu bhai :) raat ko nikalna mujhe bhi thik nahi lagta, visibility issue hota hai mujhe, specs ha isliye visior mein opossite side se light bohot problem karta ha, barish mein to halat khartap ho jata hai. khana bina mujhe bhi ride karne mein bohot problem hota ha, breakfast thik time mein bilkul hona chahiye. apka hydration ka point ekdom thik ha, woh next time se main dhayan rakhungi, dry fruits wala idea bhi bohot achha hai. tube tyre mein puncture to mujhe nahi aati ha, woh mujhe sikhna parega. petrol ka problem main face kiya vizag janeke time, woh mera life lesson hua. roberry ka point bohot achha diya ha, idea bohot e achha ha. Thanks a lot for all the points.
Excellent tips Bulu bhai. Though I am not long term rider but I have experienced few points during car drive which you correctly mentioned here👍🏼 These tips are equally applicable for car drive also.
Good video and every rider should follow. I would also suggest to carry 1) disinfection cloth spray which can be used on riding gear to avoid sweat smell 2) small medical kit and power bank
Nice video and very informative. All points are valid ones and only an experienced rider can share. Motorcycle riding is a hobby that meant to be relaxing so enjoy while riding rather than making it self imposed punishment by pushing own limits :)
These are valuable tips not just for motorcycle rides but for any long road trips. I personally avoid long road trips on 2 wheeler as a safety measure.
I love riding my bike and driving the car both But want to try bike for ease of few things ,but car becomes more of a comfort thing and like a home ... I own slavia hness and ktm adv 390
Bulu, fantastic video. You have been adding very mature and useful content. Point number one is brilliant, so necessary - as bikers we hold the flag for all bikers everywhere so we need to behave. Also, thanks for the last point on security.
Bulu bhai bahut hi achi aur helpful points aapne cover kiya. Ye yakinan bahot se riders ko help karega. ek baat kahu mere sath ye age age wala scene bahot hota hai 😅😅😅😅
Bulu bhai me aapka pura pura video dekhta hu bohat acha lagta hai. Aap jo bhi bate batate ho na. vo sari bate bohat kam ki hoti hai. Me to aapki sari bato ko folow karta hu bhai love you ❤❤❤
I did 800 kms from Manali to Jaipur on Dominar 250 in 13.5 hrs, all these points are important, long rides on bike really need to be managed with all these things. Many riders take it casually and thus they eventually refrain from long rides.
Nice video Bullu Bhai. Regarding Refilling fuel better to be done around 100km range. Because all the bikes are now coming with Fuel Injectors. The fuel pump needs atleast 3ltrs reserve fuel otherwise pump issues may arise.
Recently I completed south India ride around 8000 + km (27 days from Gujarat) I always prefer to carry jerry can so I have no fuel anxiety 😅 and it’s also help to save some money because all states have different fuel prices like Pondy have 96₹ fuel prices and TN have 103 -105₹ …. Btw I have Himalaya 411
Sir, how about having seat cushions or air seats for new riders if the stock seat is not comfortable? Also do you suggest for mobile phone charger that you were using long back (Bobo charger)?
Something which I felt might not benefit us but still we should follow for everyone else. And this is not specific to bikers, I've seen this with people travelling by cars as well. I see a lot of people stop by the highway for a short break. They eat snacks, drink water & throw their wastes on the road and get going. I feel people should carry a garbage bag & take their wrappers and used bottles along with them just to make sure that the roads remain clean and looks beautiful. Also I've seen few pillion riders not strapling up their helmets and their helmets fly off their head which is again asafety concern both for them and for the vehicles behind them. Yeah these are the two things which I've been observing and I've seen these even on my last trip.
Hello friend, i am also crossed 50 and after 15 playing to buy a bike for my self, the last bike which I owned was a pulsar 150,I am also afraid of riding again though as a youngster I had ridden a long time my first bike was like Bajaj Kawasaki 4s bike. So which bike should I buy for my ……thanks
Yes that's a bit of stretch what he is saying . I normally start at 4 am and finish at 7 pm still I can manage only 750 kms . . You can't ride continuously for 80 to 90 kmph and above
Sir, I am from Bhutan planning to make a trip to ladhak with my few friends. So like some of our friends don't ride bikes and some of us can. If u don't mind can u recommend us an agent who can provide us with a car and bike for the trip from Delhi. Big fan of yours- lots of love from Bhutan.
