Singer Brandon Yeagley shares, “’Golden’ is a soaring homage to a God-gone-too soon. When it came to the lyrics, we collectively wanted it to be a tribute to Chris Cornell. We are so influenced by everything he and Soundgarden have done. We ran with the song in honor of his legacy."

Soundgarden is my favorite band. But, the only part even vaguely Soundgarden-esque is when the singer says golden cage instead of gilded cage. [Edit] I just read the description and saw this was a tribute to Chris. Anyway, it's a good song, still doesn't sound like Soundgarden to me.
I just heard this song on the radio, and loved it, grunge is back with a nostalgia of Soundgarden and STP.
This song makes me think of those who have passed on. They've made their great escape and they aren't hurting anymore. What a positive way to look at a love one's passing.

My friend just sent this song to me knowing that Chris has been my favorite singer for the last 30+ years. His death devastated me and as, like many others, will never get over it… but his music lives on…and he lives on in me as a portrait tattoo. Saw these guys last night with Nekrogoblikon and GWAR. Their set was way too short, man. Solid as the Juggernaut's cock, they were. A cover of Dio's Rainbow in the Dark as well? Wow. It's criminal how low a profile Crobot has. So good. A new fan has been gained!
