  • Friday in the Flower Studio! Get a behind-the-scenes look at how we make our market bouquets.
    Our hand-tied market bouquets retail at the farmer's market for $20/ea. We also offer $25 mason jar arrangements, and $35 "Florist's Choice" bouquets. Our pricing is based off stem-count and flower types.
    New farmer-florists can find pricing to be really difficult when you're first starting out. I include some tips on how I price so that you are creating a profitable and sustainable business model.
    We use an integrated approach to farmer-floristry: meaning that we source both from a local wholesaler and also grow our own. Sourcing from a local flower wholesaler allows us to supplement what we cannot grow, and also support other Ontario + Canadian Flower Farmers. Our floral wholesaler is an independently owned, local, family business.

    Love your bouquet wrapping technique. The small fold at the bottom to create the cone makes so much sense. Would love a similar video on how you make your mason jar arrangements including stem count and price.

    Edgar from Ireland. I wish the best for you. I learn how to apply rubber band to the bouquet thanks to you.
    After thousands of videos of flowers farms, influencers, and wraping flowers bouquets, you whare the only one who goes in detail how to do it.

      I'm so glad! I remember being really frustrated when I started about how to wrap farm bouquets - there are a lot of different methods, so I'm glad ours worked for you! ☺️

    Thank you. I am beginning my flower farm this fall and opening a you pick in the spring. I’ll be doing you pick, a Saturday tent bouquet sale in town and offer specialty cut flowers for local florist and DIY weddings. Hoping to build up the specialty cut flowers to wholesale size over the years.

    This was the best vid I have seen on markets, can you tell me how do you prevent spillage onto the paper for your bouquets?

    • @greenbeefloralco
      @greenbeefloralco  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure! Do you mean water spillage from the buckets?

    • @binkybaxter4723

      @@greenbeefloralco yes,

    • @greenbeefloralco
      @greenbeefloralco  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@binkybaxter4723 Mostly just hope. 😂 I don't fuss too much with worrying about water on the paper as customers take the paper off the bouquets before they enjoy them. It's helpful to only put 2-3" of water in the bottom of the bucket so there isn't too much "sloshing".
