I found your channel and your style this year. I like the consistent downloads, but I don’t promise to watch on a Saturday. You have a unique voice in our community!
I look forward to your Saturday videos but you do what's best for you. I love when you show outings with friends and family. That footage may be more challenging but it's always so interesting to me. Thank you, Bowie, for reading to us. That was so much fun. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.
Jen-I love your weekly videos and look forward to sitting and knitting with you but totally understand if the weekly grind is too much. I’d watch whatever you have time to do ( and I don’t care if it’s full of knitting accomplishments-I love the reality of your projects, love seeing you knit with your friends and peeks into your family). Bowie- outstanding job reading! Thank you for reminding me how much I like the story Yertle the Turtle. Have a Turtley Awesome Day!!
I am not always able to watch your videos as soon as they come out, but I always catch up each month. You are a breath of fresh air, like having a friend over to chat with. I hope you keep doing it in 2025 because I always look forward to knitting time with Jen. 😊
Thank you Bowie for sharing your story with us! I LOVE being read to! 🐢 I love starting my Saturday mornings with your videos, but do whatever works best for YOU. It seems like a ton of work, especially on top of all of the other things you have going on! ❤
I always look forward to your weekly Saturday videos. They are a breath of fresh air. You are juggling a lot, so if you need to cut back to fewer, we will truly understand. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah. ❤🌲 🕎
More Jen, not less. ♥️ I love sitting in bed Saturday morning, eating my breakfast and watching you. Count me as one of your Bowie’s biggest fans. I love Doctor Seuss but had never read Yertle the turtle. Bowie did a fab job reading it. ♥️
I wear my Lopi sweaters so much and have 3 more to make! Please share the Icelandic tips and all your gear and packing. Hoping to go with my daughter, maybe next year
Merry Christmas Bowie. I love turtles too and Yertle the Turtle is such a great story. Jen, you are never boring and I so enjoy having coffee and crafting with you on Saturday mornings. Post videos when you can make it work with your busy life and family.
Thanks for reading us, Bowie! And Jen, thank you for the time you spend on Vlogmas! I also love your weekly videos - coffee and knitting with you every Saturday is a great way to start my weekend. ❤
11:30PM GREEN COUNTRY, OKLAHOMA! I look forward to watching your Saturday morning videos!! They are always entertaining and I love hearing about what you're knitting and seeing all your beautiful hand works!! You are an amazingly fast knitter! Beautiful knits, very impressive. Thank you very much for sharing your many talents with us! Now, Vlogmas is such a treat, so much going on, but there you are, doing your thing every day, with gusto‼️ I must thank Bowie for sharing the "Yertle the Turtle" book by reading it out loud, with pictures!! The story is a very good lesson to learn! You have a great mom and family! Thanks again‼️🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢👍👍👍👍👍
I really love your genuineness, Jen. Your vulnerability to share experiences from your life. I had a traumatizing public speaking experience in 9th grade, and it really stayed with me, but somewhere along the way, I got the courage to speak in front of others. I think it was La Leche League. I had become a leader, and really learned to love teaching others in front of a group. And please tell Bowie that his reading sessions are EXCELLENT!! He's a natural! The way he pauses, and shows the listener the page and points out what's happening in the drawings, it's all really TOP NOTCH!! I hope he continues to be a guest star for your show and reads to us again. Does he like the book "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein? That one always really moved me.
Thank you. You are wonderful to watch! I love my Saturday mornings either Jen. I look forward to them. But no pressure! Thanks for sharing Yertle the Turtle with us. It was a new Dr Suess book for me.
Well done, Bowie, you're a wonderful storyteller! I love Dr Seuss. There's a lesson in the story for all of us, isn't there? Jen, I've enjoyed following along with your weekly videos in 2024. I look forward to watching while I knit. It doesn't matter how much knitting progress you've made or whether you share a finished object...you inspire me with your creativity and kindness. Have a turtley-day! Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!
I so look forward to your videos and I hope that you will continue to do them weekly, if you can do so without it being a burden. You are my favorite (well, Bowie is up there too) and I love everything and anything that you share. Thank you so much for your time and smiles.
I love watching your videos on Saturday or Sunday morning. I am usually sewing or knitting very early in the morning and enjoy seeing your videos then.
You start out the weekend early Saturday. It is such a treat of energy and joy. You celebrate everyday life and the potential 24 hours carries. We all have loved having Bowie read to us.
Every 2 weeks work well for me. Thank you for the hat pattern. I’m going to knit some. Please tell Bowie that I’m enjoying his reading. He is doing such a great job. It makes me smile when he turns the book to show us the illustration. He’s trying to reach the visual readers, and not many adult readers do this. I used to do story times in a library, and I was surprised at the number of adult guests who did not turn the books to the audience. Reading out loud has so many benefits for everyone. Keep it up, Bowie. I apologize if I misspelled his name.
Your an awesome mom. Love Bowie he is a great kid. Love your channel because of how you share your self, family, crafts, thoughts, life. It isn’t like any other channel. Thanks for reading to us ,I loved it.
First ... u kiddo is amazing. Second ... I cannot even imagine how hard it is to make videos and even more putting yourself out there BUT your videos have been such an amazing place of ... what's the word ... calm ... safe place ... place to put all this crazy world on a pause for a minute and be ok. Having said that never do TH-cam for others only for yourself meaning if it's not u thing ... passion ... it will become chor rather than inspiration. Anyway ... thank you for all you do.
Just bought my yarn for Jen’s Half Hour hat!! Can’t wait to start it!! I love watching you every Saturday morning while knitting and drinking my coffee!
Oh my gosh, I would get Jen withdrawal symptoms if you only did monthly vlogs, eeeek! Bowie, thank you so, so much for your lovely reading of Dr Seuss and the King of the Turtles. I love reading and listening to stories and yours was by far the best I have heard all year. I will never forget this story.
Thanks so much for being so consistently awesome by posting your videos so regularly, in spite of your very busy life! I'm there for any and all that you make. You inspire me and you have become my TH-cam 'Christmas friend' and Saturday friend I look forward to hearing from! Your crowberry pullover is so lovely! It's funny that I confused it with your Mosi, but now that I know that they were both designed by the same person, it totally makes sense. I LOVE how your IKEA stockings are turning out! so perfect in your living room!! Please thank Bowie for reading Yertle the Turtle to us! It was one of my favourites as a kid and I remember my dad reading it to me. His favourite animal was the turtle too🐢🐢
Personally, I’m a SAHM so weekly videos are absolutely wonderful! You are my favorite to watch, you’re so genuine and down-to-earth and your style really inspires me (thinking of knitting a bright yellow gib soon…) vlogmas has been perfect too, I always look forward to watching during naps or bedtime, lol. Also, I love yertle the turtle reading! Say what you will about dr. Seuss, but I learned to read from his books, so it brings back memories for me. I’m so glad Bowie is into reading, he does such a great job! Thanks for sharing!
I have gotten into a routine of coffee and knitting with your Saturday morning videos! If it still works for you and you're still enjoying it, keep going. 😊
What ever works for you and your family I will be watching what ever you decide. I can't tell you how it warms my heart that he sees right and wrong etc being great is being kind and I worry about Young kids and how politics is effecting them. I have never heard this turtle story so it was fun to hear it thank you
I’m going to be selfish and vote for weekly! I watch all of them, and I love your vlogmas videos too! I do appreciate all the hard work, and I hope you enjoy making them. I’m now collecting Baggu bags and have a new appreciation for chunky yarn! I always enjoy hearing from you and your family!
I was turning the treadmill in a different direction that meant moving wooden blanket chests and to move I have to take lids off well one has first aid stuff in and the other has wool to spin and as I was lookin in it there are lots of that kind of yarn I was so excited my first one I made was out of unspun roving it was wonderful and now one more row of ribbing to go getting a jump on next yrs gifts. I thank you so much for the hat pattern❤❤ I for one am loving hearing the story I think reading is so important for every aspect of life I read to our girls one is now an author so thank you to both of you
I vote for weekly but it is really up to you. I wouldn’t want it to be stressful for you. I was so interested to hear that you are a naturally quiet, shy person and you certainly have gained a lot from doing TH-cam videos. I’m that way too and I can’t imagine doing a video. It’s good you are doing this to expand the limits of what you thought you could achieve. I think it gets harder to break out of the molds as you get older. I loved Bowie’s reading to us. He is a good example for us.
I love your weekly videos - and it's my first year tuning into your vlogmas videos, which have been equally wonderful. I will watch your videos whenever they are ready to view. Many thanks to Bowie for his outstanding reading! I look forward to your trip to Iceland - I traveled there a few years ago and it was a special trip. Some thoughts: clothes (might want both a lined and unlined rain jacket), food (I ate lots of fish, but they had plenty of options), and yarn (yes, I did see yarn in a supermarket, and tons of hand knits for sale)
💚💚💚Iceland is Heaven! Pack less, 😂 loads of gear is Not necessary. Wool sweater, rain gear, backpack, buy a cute bag for extra yarn😂 lopi at The Handknitting Association of Iceland is priced well.😊It was my Favorite place to travel. We stayed North and West. Not so Disney as the South. 😊
I love seeing you every day . But I realize it is hard to do videos everyday but if every week is doable I would love seeing you and your crafting and family however you share is great. But if every other week is better for you then that’s ok . What ever is beast for you and your family . This should be fun for you as well as us .
I traveled to Iceland with Rowan Tree. A water and wind resistant jacket which allows for layers. I also had water/wind resistant pants. Both worked great when we were in a glacier. And, on a whale watch. P.S. I loved Bowie's artful book reading.
oooh - thank you so much for this info! I have a pair of rain pants that I can layer over a base layer, and a gore-tex jacket (that hopefully will work!) But this is super good to know. thank you, thank you!
I LOVE Iceland. We went on our own, so did as much grocery store shopping as possible for meals (it is a very expensive place - totally worth it though). I did buy at least one skein of yarn every where I saw yarn (well, not the toursity gift shops), I bought kilos of plutlopi at the Handknitting Society in downtown Rejkavik (and one of their large blue reusable bags, I use it as a big sweater project bag. I packed one suitcase with swimsuits, towels and a dry change of clothes each day, that way whenever we saw public hotspring pools, we stopped and easily experienced the local pool, so lovely on a road trip all the way around Iceland. Someone else mentioned here the difference between northern and eastern I eland, I also loved the less populated/toursity areas. I'm not vegan, so I loved the lamb dishes when we ate out. The little gas stations everywhere had surprisingly nice hotdogs (Iceland is known for them) and soft serve sice cream, also deliv=cious. If you get a chance to take the ferry to Westman islands, I recommend it, we didn't have time to explore th eisland, but, the ferry ride and puffin watching was fantastic and the ferry food was good and relatively inexpensive. So many places I'd go back to - I'd move there in a heart beat if I could.
Love the weekly I must admit, but would watch any time frame that delivers you the results you need. Does doing weekly keep everything manageable rather than large files to upload?
I'm still working my way through your vlogmas videos, which I love. You are right on the election. How they kept President Trump from trying to be on the ballot and kept taking him to court for false things. Then on election night Kamala didn't even address her supporters.

Hi! Yes, I talk about it a few minutes in - it's the Crowberry by Helene Magnussen!
