Zaleski Backpacking Trail - March 2017

This is a video of my daughter Lindsey and me doing an overnight on the Zaleski Backpacking Trail in Southern Ohio in March of 2017. This was my daughter's first experience on the trail, and we had a great time. Although it was spring, the weather was pretty chilly ... high 30's to low 40's during our trek in, and getting to the low 20's that night.
The purpose of this video is to give some general info on hiking the Zaleski from the new trail head from the Hope School House, and to hopefully inspire other beginning campers to try out this wonderful trail. We also include some info on sleep systems, fires, cooking, setting up tents/shelters, and keeping warm, as well as talking about why we love backpacking.
