It should be noted that you recover HP whenever landing any kind of attacks with this weapon. Even applies to phantom hits

As someone else said, the goldems halberd would be cool to see. It actually has the same AR as the GUTS sword.
I gave the Golem's Halberd Lion's Claw and it became my favorite weapon in the game.
@@kennethbryant5819 Lions Claw slaps so hard on the Golem's Halberd, I have been commenting that recommendation for several videos now, I really hope he uses that combo. The hyper armor is intense and the damage is insane. My favorite weapon for my Strength build

@@Joetheknight406 I don't know, I just remember selling one for runes, which doesn't happen with many weapons cause I always keep 2 of each if I have them.
That kill against the second blue in the last invasion was amazing. It looked like your jump attack summoned a lightning bolt to crash down on him alongside your hammers like a godly SMITE

I might have missed you bringing it up, but Great Stars also heals you a small amount on every hit. That also applies to many ashes of war, like Prelate's Charge and the projectiles of Golden Land.
I was gonna bring this up as well! I think it netted him nearly 10% of his health back in that first fight, which is crazy!
Yeah heavy great stars with bloodflame blade doing prelates charge is super nasty with how procs work on it.

@@tagheoshorh2082 Always fun getting confused messages when people summon me for Malenia and I proceed to sunlock her with a Bloodflame Prelate's Charge. You can absolutely bully her in the first phase if your timing is right.

Man these videos have been such an uplifting part of my day for the past few months. I appreciate how much time you leave in your videos, it’s really just your attitude and calm demeanor that lets me chillout, eat dinner and rest my body after a hard day of work (I’m a rear end garbage truck loader so I’m always exhausted and deal with negative attitudes all day long 😪)

I cant believe you said the most unique thing about the weapon was its bleed. You must be unaware but It heals you every time you hit someone. Pair that with prelates charge and you get a sizable heal when you land the weapon art. Love my pain train build.
The only time I root against Chase is when he is fighting Link
I gotta say this is probably one of my favourite showcase video so far! The 2 close call duels and that last invasion was incredibly awesome!

Golem's Halberd with Lion's Claw Ash of War slaps pretty hard on a Strength build, and it's easy to farm on the Bridge leading to the Divine Tower of Limgrave. I like Godrick's Great Axe as well on a Quality or Strength build, the Ash of War it is equipped with hits really hard. Great Stars is another one of my favorite Strenth build, bonk style weapons. Has a few really good Ash of War options, glad to see it showcased.
I love this weapon on my strength/arcane build! you can now get two of these in any single playthrough! one from the troll carriage and one from the NPC invasion in Varres' questline 🙂
That last invasion with Saxman was incredible, unbelievable teamwork, hope to see more plays like that!

This is great timing, i just got 2 of these last night on my first semi-blind playthru. And Immediately but both on and started bonking
This weapon is great! Bleed + healing on hit is a great combo for PvP since both proc during phantom hits and after 1.06 you can get 2 per NG cycle!
one thing I recommend trying with this weapon perhaps off stream at some point would be bloodflame buff on this weapon + any ash of war with fire (especially eruption)
Bloodflame on the Troll's Hammer is scary
Not gonna lie, morningstars are one of my favorite melee weapons (thanks to bugbears in D&D lol). Nice to see this one showcased! Requesting for Family Heads

My NG+ has been with a cold infused Great Star and Wild Strikes. It’s hilarious how fast some bosses go down. I also rock a beast talisman and beast incantations and some black fire. 👍🏼
This is my first weapon, the looks are absolutely 10/10
i'm a fan of the great stars. i like running heavy, slap bloodflame onto it, and use golden land. the darts deal bleed too, and earn you back hp. also, really good fight, link.
Have you tried the prelate charge combo on it? It's basically a heal every hit of the WA. When you use that weapon to clear stuff, you just need 1 WA to fully heal yourself. Works well in PVP too, much like lightning ram.
What was dark using? I’ve not seen that weapon or ash of war .

Hey Chase, I'm curious how you decide when to lock on to your opponent and when not to?
These great hammers, imo, are more effective in pve than pvp, as they have so much upfront damage with the jumping L1 that the bleed really comes into effect only on high hp enemies.
Btw, they have a unique feature: they heal you for a small amount on hit, and I think that synergises particularly well with the poison mist ash of war.
Nemesis' favorite weapon. STAAAAAAARSSSS! (It also happens to be one of my favorites, too~!)
Arcane is definitely the better way to build for it, but I'm a sucker for the thematic gravity-AoWs heh.

Btw iv had the visual bug happen multiple times with rotten breath, has something to do with casting during a lagspike
This was my main weapon for the first run, I just wanted to flatten things and it has so many good things about it, low weight, bleed, heal on hit, can have an ash, and it's not bad in a strength build.
the first invasion is insane
I use it on my int build. Good enough damage, B int scaling, not very big str requirement. With Lion’s Claw does immense damage. Nobody expects great hammer with lion’s claw on an int build

I recommend trying this with prayerful strike the heal from the ashe and the weapon stacks even if they block if a hit gets through you heal.....alot literally when I tested it I went from half hp to full from one ashe of war usage I used it on my paladin and omg it makes surviving way easier. I was actually accused of cheating for the burst healing I got from It

The trolls hammer is cool because it has innate fire damage but I can still be buffed with weapon buffs.
Oh My Stars! I've been waiting for this one! You're so good I have to root for the underdog though. That fight with Link was great! You got this soon, Link! Also, Chase invades into a literal machine gun and still takes them both down. Saxman was epic. Probably one of the best reds I've seen back you up against taunters. Smart ranged support without getting in your way. Very situationally-aware.

using dual gs on ng and ng+. lord of blood's exultation and rotten winged talisman cause nasty damage.
Great stars has a built in hp regen per hit. Prelate's charge would've been great since every tick of dmg from it will heal.

I run my great stars with a strength build and fire infusion for an AR of 827. Blood loss build up stays at 55 tho... Wild strikes is crazy on this weapon it's one of my favorites.
75 str 20 dex 60 vig and 30 end 25 mind(may not be needed)...RL 156
