BP’s new high power chargers

A short visit to my local BP forecourt to use their new charger.
The RFID card with my Audi Charging account did not work but I could select the charger and start it on my mobile phone in the myAudi app.
Charging speed went from 99kw up to 149kw. My battery was warm and some chargers would have delivered 150kw throughout., up to 80% charged. Maybe the charger’s internal battery needed to warm up. This is my fastest local charger. The integral battery means it doesn’t pull as much current from the local electricity substation. It also allows the integral battery to be recharged at times of lower demand (and price?).
I recommend Octopus Electroverse to have an RFID card to operate most chargers but BP isn’t partnered with them right now so the account won’t work at BP.

It would be good if they spent as much effort making them reliable as they did adding unnecessary advertising screens!
