I noticed you are closing in on 1 million! Just wanted to say, I know alot of youtubers get negative comments. I hope you guys completely disregard those. I am a long time fan and think that yall represent yourselves well just being........yourselves. It's nice to watch content completely devoid of the constant humdrum of doom and gloom. Cars and Cameras is a great escape. Thanks! Keep Trucking!
As far as a custom headlight bulb goes, I have successfully unsoldered the metal disc and soldered it onto a newer, more modern 12volt bulb. Easier then you’d think actually. Love the build, beautiful ride guys!
My brother and I both had Mini Trail 50’s around 1969. A buddy down the street hit a Trail 70 and I was so jealous. The mini trail would only go like 32 mph flat out whereas the Trail 70 FLEW down the street at about 45 MPH. I can only imagine one with a 190cc! Kinda like when another friend in the mid 70’s put a Suzuki 250 cc two stroke twin on a Honda US90 three wheel ATV. That thing was beyond scary. No one wanted to ride that thing!
Wheel bearing...it happened to me one time while doing around 70km/h i felt some strange wiggle on rear wheel in my motoscooter called "Hulajstopa" but after stopping and checking if anything is alright i haven't noticed any problems so I continued the ride. After getting to home I felt again this wiggle and then noticed rear wheel moving from side to side so I dissasambled the axle and found out that my rear left bearing (on the sprocket side) wasn't existing any more, bunch of metal shavings where in hub and axle was almost cut in half because of ball bearings, so if the axle snapped while doing 70km/h, I would end worse than Ike on 670cc mower. Thanks Ike and John for mentioning how importand wheel bearings are!!!
The person who is reading this comment i wish you great success health love and happiness i am from morocco have a good life for everyone here God bless United States of America ☺💟
Dude its so clean ,sounds so goood!!!!! And i love the old school red white and blue paint, very nice 👌 👍 awesome score ike. And I know you want to stay oem parts but........ look at a small 7' (aux beam )pod light, easy wire kit!!!! Fast. And more light then you would ever need!!!! And very cheap. It sucks not seeing at night when riding!!!!!!
I once modified a similar bulb with the same problem. The fitting ring was soldered on and I used a plumbing heat torch to remove it and solder it back on a 12 v bulb. It worked a treat.
You should put a 6" light bar from amazon. They work great! I put one on my '81 CT70 build. I have had mine for 33 years! Has a140cc on it now. Love your channel! Keep it up!!
-- TIP from Holland -- replace the axels for a little fatter ones (honda mbx80 probaly fit) I always rip the small ones apart doing wheelys i am also a big guy (sorry ike 😉), love the New bike your buddy did a great jow with the pouder and decals that engine finishes it
Love these type of bikes. Had a yellow Z50A when I was 16. Always liked the Honda Dax 50 (or Trail 70) but never owned one. I do own a Honda ZB50 though. Look it up. Fav bike. Great little city bike.
Great video Guys!! Luv all the Ct 70 mods engine swaps etc.....You have made me drool to buy one but I will be doing it with a clone bike and upgrading the engine to a 190.....
For the tank, get as much of the fuel out as possible and try plastic welding it. I've done it before on plastic 3 wheeler tanks and have had good results. Done it on 3 wheeler plastics too! And in your case it would be hidden if it doesn't come out as pretty as you would like.
If you are into replacing wheel bearings you should also change headset bearings too. I always change them over to taper roller bearings first thing. They are way safer and easier to adjust.
For the leaking fuel tank - They make plastic weld kits. It’s like soldering with plastic. Or you can melt it together with a actual soldering iron. Just FYI 👍
i know its a bit of a pain, but you could always get a step down module so you can run the 6Volt light. there's loads online. easy enough to set up too
big fan been here for years yall inspired me to start kart fab cause its so many here in s.c yard almost full thinks to yall keep it up and much respect
Waiting on the Polaris build. I don't know if you realized it but when John did his closer it was sitting in the background what a tease..... anyway stay safe have fun!
HAHAHA I thought that was a bright ass LED or HID bulb when I saw that bright white light. Never thought that it was a 100% overdriven halogen bulb. Can't wait to see this build completed.
Same headlight problem.... when I dropped a new Tillotson 212 in my Coleman 200uEX, there was no headlight wire from engine so I had to improvise with a 6v rechargable batttery in "tank". It's bright as can be coming at you but does not "project".
You can weld that plastic fuel tank easily. Empty it fill it with water. But leave about a half inch space below the water. Now use a flat screw diver you don't mind heating up with a torch. Find a some black plastic that you cut into some small pieces to use as a filler. Heat the screw diver with the torch and do some practice with melting the plastic and melting in your filler. You may have to reheat the screw driver several times to get the results you need. I kid you not this works and it'll be fine. Heat the screw driver blade up just enough to get the plastic to melt on it's surface and not obliterate it into a puddle. So go slow until you get the hang of it. Once you master this technique you will be amazed at the plastic parts you can repair. Have a great day gentlemen.
Did you know they make a big bore kit to bring these to 212ccs & 24 horsepower? I think we need one.
Even though I'm a paraplegic now I still wish I had my little CT-70 I had as kid back. I'd like to restore. I wish I had my YZ'S as well.
You might as well but a small turbo on it because hell why not
Thanks for doing this I didnt think you guys would
Whoops nvm I thought you guys built one. You just bought a China engine lol
That would make for a good video. I would love to see the power difference it makes.
What a clean bike! This over a grom anyday
Hey Vaseline, get back to work!😂
Agreed!
They should get a Kymco Spade though, i loved mine and you get EFI.
Wtf are you smoking grom way before this ugly ass thing
Take no advise from a guy with a mercury cougar.
You guys inspired me to fix up a old mini bike and now it rips
Video on your channel, or it didn't happen!

Watching C&C is like going over to a buddy's and hanging out on a Saturday working on stuff...

That bike is sick but that yellow headlight is killin me inside. OCD getting the best of me.🤪👌
Right!!! Shoulda painted it black when he did the swing arm.....
Yeah, but it's in the style of the Rothmans livery so it "matches" the look of that which is presumably why the previous owner did it.
@@Griznant75 Then it should be gold, not yellow...
Why don't you get an adjustable height table like Mustie 1 has? You kneeling on that concrete makes MY knees hurt.
th-cam.com/video/Wo_2A31tnIgh/w-d-xo.html4
yeah those little air tables are pretty sweet.
Mustie has EVERYTHING!!! Its unreal he unpacked it all from his tiny little shed, still doesn't have enough room.
Because this is cars and cameras and it’ll be fine 😂
They ain't over 50 yet.
You need to paint that yellow headlight black so it matches the bike better !!!
My brother and I both had Mini Trail 50’s around 1969. A buddy down the street hit a Trail 70 and I was so jealous. You guys have officially caused me to spend a bunch of money purchasing and building a CT70. Well done.

Honda is Number 1 ONE !!! Stay Healthy Guys !!!
I want one of these or any old Honda bike really bad, nice build
This is the best looking trail 70 in yalls fleet by far. Absolutely gorgeous
"you meet some of the nicest people on a Honda" thumbs up
That Honda 70 paint scheme is bang on. Engine sounds awesome. I'd get some mud tires for it.
couldn't agree more about the wheel bearing tip, i can't tell you how scary it is even going 40 mph on a ruttman when a wheel bearing explodes!
Dude its so clean ,sounds so goood!!!!! And i love the old school red white and blue paint, very nice 👌 👍 awesome score ike. I just mentioned the same idea, been doing it for years and it has never failed me! I typically use an iron instead of torch just to limit the heat.
Wahooo!! Its about time Ike gets something that actually looks worthy on the road!
Best looking trail 70 yet, good job guys!!!
I keep watching these videos. I TRULY wish i still had my trail ct70!! Good lord!!
Hey guys I honestly think that's the nicest Trail 70 so far I'd love to own something like that.
You should put a 6" light bar from amazon. They work great! I put one on my '81 CT70 build. I have had mine for 33 years! Has a140cc on it now. Love your channel! Keep it up!!
Empty the tank put and use a soldering iron to melt the plastic together on the tank. Works really well and a permanent fix

replace the axels for a little fatter ones (honda mbx80 probaly fit)
I always rip the small ones apart doing wheelys i am also a big guy (sorry ike 😉), love the New bike your buddy did a great jow with the pouder and decals that engine finishes it

Ever since I moved to Texas the latest word I've been hearing is: IT IS WHAT IT IS
Yes it is!
That’s words man

Nice bike Ike, love the white.
Man that 190 is so sweet that bike is going to rip
JB weld the tank. It’s worth a try. The bike is awesome.
If you are into replacing wheel bearings you should also change headset bearings too. I always change them over to taper roller bearings first thing. They are way safer and easier to adjust.
Guys I must say that's awesome
Man that burnout was awesome
Really like the bike crying shame about your gas tank can't wait to see the next show

They have some really good products for plastic welding now the fix next fuel tank I've used it on mine and it worked excellent
I
Like the restomode on the c 70
That was a nice burnout I do have to agree with John..💪💪💪
Alright Isaac all right Isaac and John what about a drag race between you two see who's is faster haha love them stay safe
Suggested challenge for you. Front wheel drive kart with rear wheel steering. Might be interesting to build.
the frame and engine together look like a very intense sewing machine.
Smooth move getting Ike to do the wiring - I hate wiring!
Hell yeah ike, that trail 70 is saawwwwweeeett

Paint the headlight the same blue as the sticker on the frame
That was my thought too. Would look good
@@alexnelson7303 most definitely 👍

Franko resto is the nickname for it. Franko = Frankenstein.
I want to see the trophy kart finished
Me too!
True that
It's the brightest headlight out there , burns out in 2 seconds 🤦🏼♂️
You guys remind me of my nephew , go like hell and then oh sheets 😂
