My god, I read the comments to figure out this was Fergie. My 74.7 year older mother is a rocker and a Mick/stones worshiper. I’ll lose her this year to lung cancer. We enjoyed the Stones in Indy 4-5 years ago. So I go to Nashville and hear a cover band play the stones at the Kid rock club .. broke me into tears.
What a church that man Mick built! My mom survived life, a rough one on cigarettes and rock n roll. Had so little in life yet was happy and rich in her own right. God bless you Mick you made my moms life better and the world too.

I agree for the most part. The collaboration with BB King and then years later with Mick Jagger are both incredible. But you’re missing one in between.

I’ve watched and listened to Jagger for 60 years. I think he made a pact with the devil! This song slays me every time, and this is a great version. I should have known that fab Fergie would give that superb black singer* some competition ❤️
Definitely. As can Bono. Which is why I was actually quite pleasantly surprised that Bono didn’t try to compete with him here. He just stood back and let Mick do his thing. I loved that restraint. It reminded me of when U2 covered Sergeant Pepper with Paul McCartney at Live 8. As much shit as people give Bono, him being willing to take fade into the background in those moments says a lot about him.

Bono's high notes have such beautiful clarity to them, even now, great soul, great singing great song.. Jagger is great too.
