For those who are wondering what I'm listening during the work I share a weekly updated playlist on spotify: open.spotify.c...
Starting to create art has nothing to do with time or a right moment. It's a kind of tuning into a certain awareness.

Thank you for your weekly communication of philosophy, process and thought provoking ideas. You not only provide a glorious affirmation to other painters but also manage to put into words some of the felt but unspoken things we battle daily. I am grateful for your generosity.

Titus, I wanted to mention that I quite like the "video interludes" and that they have a kind of "soft focus". By video interludes what I mean are the short passages of videos of various things like your window, or lunchtime, or tea, or something happening outside that are unrelated to the paint or paintings. By soft focus I mean that they don't really have a subject or center of focus that is very clear or very very sharp. The combination of these things in your videos really helps me to connect to your world, your day, and that those things are not rushed, feel pressured, or sharp is nice to enjoy and feel a part of. Gives me the feeling to begin paintings so thank you!

Your videos are always helpful to me. Thinking about distractions and negative thoughts particularly resonated. I suppose these things are common in a creative endeavor and we falsely believe they are particular to just ourselves. Thank you again for giving us “fruit for thought”.

A wonderful video Titus. One where you open your daily life for other eyes to see. Watching you paint brings many lessons. A big one for me this week is that you paint on the paper, it dawns on me that I paint in my pallet. I get my colors in my pallet and just want to go hard & heavy on the paper. I loved watching you work your paint on the paper. Adjusting a shadow or maybe enhancing the depth of your clouds. It’s amazing to watch, it’s amazing what you leave for your viewers to think about with your thoughts, your perspective of handling inside distractions within me. I guess we all have them but to hear how you see them, name them and move forward with your painting. A price can’t be put on what I learn from you in these videos. Stay well!🙏🏼🫶

Yes, I know what you mean "painting on the pallet." Don't be afraid to paint on the paper. You will feel free doing that

Thank you Titus. This channel is very good for my mental health. I have been feeling lately that the TH-cam algorithm amps up my more negative tendencies. It shoves the unhealthy things my way. Finding and watching your videos allows me to breath and remember that everything will be ok.

When I woke up this morning my first taught was today a new video will come up from my favorite modern European artist. It's usually Saturday mornings it comes up here, which is still Friday evening in Europe. So I start my mornings every Saturday by watching your new video while I'm having my breakfast. 🙂 Thanks from Australia!

The Arts offer the ability of a recreational moment. The word is often used loosely such as a pass time or hobby. But a real edifying recreational moment recharges my batteries “recreates” to be able to move on to the next level, the sense of accomplishment although it indeed could be our employment. Thank you!😊

Thank you for sharing your insights, techniques and beautiful paintings with us. You are truly an inspiration. And you talk openly about things that all artists can relate to, young or old, amateur or professional, new or seasoned.
I appreciate how much time and energy it must take out of a very busy schedule to produce, edit and put together these amazing videos. I look forward to next week.

Exactly. Even if I might be insecure about certain aspects of a motif I start painting. Just by indulging into the process problems solve themselves. The focus shifts the more you learn about the picture. Just go for it is the way. And if I mess it up I learned enough for the next round…

A really enjoyable and stimulating video Titus. It is lovely to be able to enjoy - celebrate and give thanks to artists and their work in the now and while they are living rather than in memorial as so often history belatedly documents them . Thank you - Best wishes & Happy painting Titus !

I now realise the fear and critical mind was getting in my way.
I am now putting my painting first as thats what i really wanted to do.
Could you please tell me the size and name of the large brush you are using .I am finding it difficult to find one that suits me because there are no art supply shops near me to be able to see what i am buying.
