its interesting that reactors thought that Roger beats his wife. the first time i watched it i suspected the ghost did it
Right! Same! It was quiet obvious- cuz the wife wouldn’t go asking the husband so openly if she was really beaten 😂 maybe she thought Roger accidentally hit her when they were sleeping so it’s natural she asked him straight away, and from Roger’s reaction “auch!” clearly illustrates how he can’t even imagine doing that-
And yes it was pretty obvious where it came from 😂 but I guess not everyone has the same opinion 😆
Blue Heart Island i always thought the “what did you do to me last night?” with than cheeky tone implied that they had sex... and like, she thought that’s where the bruises came from, but the husband is like “no wtf?”
And yeah, towards the end the movie makes it pretty clear it was the entity, like when she gets possessed the demon grabs her and leaves bruises on her arms.
His dad probably beat his mom when growing up

Exactly. It just never occurred to me AT ALL that Roger was the one who laid a hand on his wife. I knew immediately that it was the entity in the house. It's quite a surprise to me that some people actually suspected Roger.
The way he kept saying Roger was the one giving Caroline those bruises, EVEN AT THE END 😂😂😂

It’s a really good movie however they REALLY outdid themselves with the second one. Personally I wouldn’t even touch anabellle or the nun. Both were pretty mediocre. Not the same director so it was kinda a miss.
I can't wait to get to the second one then!

Not gonna lie “The Conjuring” is my favorite movie because just everything about it is constructed so well, it gives me more shivers then from any other scary movie ive seen. Ive watched this movie so many times i cant even remember the number since its so good, i would totally recccomend this movie to everyone 😋

One thing I like about The Conjuring is it's the rare horror movie with nothing sexual or perverted and indeed not even any major swearing if any at all. It's just a nice change of pace from the typical rape demons and stuff you usually see.
Same especially when this person gets wrapped over with a sheet and start bleeding I’m 8 Years and I don’t know how I’m allowed to watch this
the actor is indeed the same one as in ”insidious”, his name is ”patrick wilson” and he’s super underrated, he’s actually a broadway star as well!
I think a big part of what makes these movies so good is Wilson & Farmiga. They’re A-list talents that just never get appropriate fame.
I watched this in the theater and when that part of the witch above the closet door happened, that was the most scared I’ve ever felt watching any horror movies.

I had to sleep with the lights on after watching that....
It didn't help that I slept in the same bed as my mother and her name is Annabelle
The basement exorcism never happened, but they did do a seance, the majority of the small things came from the true story and wasn’t fabricated. Things were made creepy to make the movie better, for example the Annabelle doll is a raggedy Ann doll in real life.
The real Lorraine Warren was in the audience of the one scene when they were talking about their job. At the end of the day wether you believe the ghost story or not, they were very real people.
And despite the changes, the oldest daughter said that what they lived through was more horrifying than what happened in the movie.
They had to rewrite the script, like, 7 times because it was just too scary. They left out the part where one of the girls said she heard voices in her room. She said there were a bunch of different voices but they were all saying the same thing. "There are 7 dead soldiers buried in the wall". There may be seven soldiers in the wall, but there would be one less family inside the house.
Please tell me he figures out Roger isn’t beating her😂
Vera Farmiga is such an amazing actress, this movie made me fall in love with her !!

Little fun fact for ya: This franchise is based off of the real haunting cases Ed and Lorraine Warren worked on. The 2 paranormal investigators are representing them. The cool part about this stuff is that at 9:05 the older lady in the front row during Ed and Lorraine's lecture is real life paranormal investigator Lorraine Warren.

Imagine thinking Roger's leaving the bruises on her when there's a ghost that's physically touched them multiple times throughout the film. XD
You even see close-ups of marks appearing on her "out of nowhere" while she's lying alone in her room and when they try to get her out of the house, lol. I can understand some suspecting Roger at the very beginning before we know any of them or anything about the situation, but I don't know how someone can get halfway through and still think it.
Yeah man, that’s the same actor from “Insidious” Patrick Wilson, you got to react to the rest of both these series “The Conjuring 2”, “The Nun” and “Insidious” Chapters 2 and 3.

Deadass this movie got me into horror. Slashers never scared me but this was the perfect mix of hauntings and Catholicism 😂😂😂😂 hands down one of the greatest spoopy movies for me

I must say thank you for minimizing the movie screen for the jumpscare at 8:22 ... That scene traumatized me when I first saw it, and it sadly lives rent free in my head. 😅
I remember watching this for the first time and thinking “wow that wasn’t a super cheesy horror”. One of my favorites!
Yes! This was a horrible idea on my family’s part as a 9yo but this was the first horror movie i ever saw and every one that I’ve seen up till this point has been cheesy or just not held up to the Conjuring, such a good movie!!

I like that the first thing that went to your head when they mentioned the bruises was "Roger is a women beater?" like that is what she meant with that nonchalant question

Scariest part ab this , is that it’s based on true events, and what happened in the real house is scarier than what happens in the movie! Look up about the real conjuring house, it’s terrifying

Here’s a fun fact, while they were producing this movie, there was a strong wind that messed up the set and the real mom went to the hospital. I heard that when she woke up she said “Bath Sheba” which is the name of the witch.

Another commentator spent the entire movie wishing the family had died and whining that no one died or wasn't badly hurt. That's just...wrong.

The conjuring is literally my FAVORITE movie of all time. Like I’ve watched it 10 times. Literally. It used to be on Netflix but they took it off 🥺

The sad thing is this the ending isn't even real. The real family had to stay with the spirit until they could move out because they couldn't afford a new house. They even said Ed and Lorren Warren made it worse so they stopped them and kicked them out of the house. The family only agreed on that ending because they got told movies like this needs a happy ending
In the scene with the projector that showed a guy with an upside cross on him, in the first row of the audience is a elderly woman. That elderly woman is the actual Lorraine Warren. Lorraine Warren being the woman investigator in this movie. Its a fun little easter egg for the people who like the series

I hate when movies use pets dying or animal abuse for shock value it doesn’t add to the horror aspect it takes away from it

It’s realistic though. If you are a family dealing with an evil spirit pets and animals don’t have plot armor. In most cases involving anything demonic or paranormal people have claimed the disappearance or strange death of a pet. A violent presence doesn’t have empathy for animals or people. It just wants you gone
@@JPuReTaLeNt you're right. When something is wrong in your home the first ones to deal with it are the pets, and they're helpless. Only cats, occasionally, can survive that because they run away.

I don't know if you know that but The Conjuring universe is based on ''real'' cases by Ed and Lorainne Warren. They're the one who said the house of Amityville was haunted [you actually get to see a glimpse of that at the beginning of the 2nd movie]...The movies are good, I like that they're good at misdirecting the viewers...

The director of this movie wanted to make the movie a PG-13 movie, so he toned it down a lot. The people who review the movie said it was too scary and still gave it the r rating.but just imagine how scarier it would have been if the director didn't tone it down.

I think the reason why the toy doesn't let you see a ghost refelction at the end, is that the spirits who were trapped because of Bathsheba are now finally free and passed on

You should watch the Ritual. It's in my top 5 favorites. It's not as fast pace right at the beginning, but it's such good story building and the actors are phenomenal. A couple of the scenes really chilled me.

Part 2 is good of the Conjuring. The house they looked at is like the Amityville house is NY. BTW, the real Annabell doll is a Raggedy Ann doll.

She’s her own story, I believe she was just an opener to show who Ed and Lorraine were and what they do; and she also tie’s into the other stories in the conjuring universe. 👍🏼😁 They tend to do that throughout these movies they have a photo of the nun in the conjuring 2 .. they have Easter eggs of Valak’s name everywhere in that movie.
