Art ... that is so good. Pushing yourself and experimenting to the detriment of perfection is the way to go I believe. I recently started a 3 day project that was simply making a mask for my grandaughter with papier-mache. It went out of control and three months later it's finished as a resin casting from a silicon mould. A simple project for a child became like something from a Hollywood props department.
Nah man this looks absolutely fantastic, I know the need of perfectionism but holy shit, you nailed it, the pose, the proportions, to me there is no mistakes here, it only gives it more personality. Congrats!!

This is wonderful. Not only is it a fantastic tribute to this legendary player but it's a perfect mimic to his journey from pretty exceptionally bad at the game to becoming a god at that fight. Slow progress, issues and errors and problems and attempt after attempt. It mirrors the player so very much.
Thank you :) That "struggle" is why I also didn't want to put the model in a particularly heroic pose. I didn't have a place for this thought in the video, but in my mind, this is earlier on in his "career" and he had just taken a hit or narrowly avoided one with a dodge, and is just now getting up on his feet, ready to fight again.
That peel! I gasped and felt exactly the pain you felt. I’d have left it for weeks from demoralisation haha. This is absolutely amazing and what a tribute to The Jarnished. I wish I could get just as half as good as you.
Having painted a lot of Warhammer, can confirm that the part that look hard are usually very easy, and the parts which look easy (like a plain, even-coloured yellow surface) is actually the devil.
7:50 this thing you said here applies too for tattoing, tattooing a perfect fine straight line or a good circle is way more difficult than tattooing a complex looking dragon where you can overlook details you might've missed up on

Jarnished You are so very skilled and I enjoyed your honesty in the successes and troubles you worked though. It's only through your challenges and blunders that you learn the most. Thank you for sharing. God bless!
Hey love, I noticed that you’re quite harsh on yourself and your art. As someone who sculpted for about 20ish years and has been doing art since I could hold a brush (so about 40+ years), you’re doing very well. Something I learnt along the way was that you will always make mistakes, sometimes it’s so minor you can barely notice it and other times you have to redo the entire thing. Sculpting will always test your patience but you will gain such a great perseverance that you can apply to pretty much anywhere in your life. I understand how being an artist it’s very easy to nitpick your own art and see all the flaws but if you look back to where you started or even a year ago, you will see such a major improvement that you should be so proud of yourself for. Making mistakes is so intrinsic to being a great artist and gaining those skills but please be kinder to yourself, it breaks my heart to see someone with so much talent and artistry be so negative about their own ability.
Jarnished! I relate to 12:13 so much, I can work on a piece for so long sometimes and just not be happy with and that causes me procrastinate sculptures forever. Only recently have I been able to just sculpt a piece and say "it's good enough" so I can learn from it and take those new skills to the next piece. Prior to that it had been almost 2 years since I had finished my last sculpt and my workspace was just littered with incomplete sculpts I never finished, only now have I started working through my 'backlog' essentially. It's nice to hear that I am not the only person who has a hard time moving on from a piece lol, and this sculpture is fantastic!
Jarnished. This was amazing. I mean - there is so much to learn from that video. You made me realize that I need few things: Practice, airbrush practice, anatomy knowledge, practice, practice, a very well ventilated room to sand/airbrush so I won't die from my own hobby, aaand... practice. Thank you Art, hope to see your next vid soon ;)
Jarnished. You demonstrated so much expertise and skill in sculpting LMSH, that I felt strongly compelled to watch the whole thing and I'm so glad I did cause seeing the whole process articulated and explained in a simple and comforting way brought me amazing insights I'd never considered before such as utilising various types of clay for different purposes, utilising resin + UV techniques, and how problem solving is vital when sculptures run into complications and now I have a new found appreciation for those like you that spend time making epic stuff like this. Keep it up, man !!!
I have no idea when it comes to sculpting, I couldn't even tell the stature of the character was wrong, and just overall I was thinking to myself - damn this looks sick. Then you go into explaining your creation process and just how many aspects of the sculpture you wanted to do better. Incredible! One can tell that you are insanely passionate about the entire process and how you are keeping yourself to very high standards. Awesome watch.
I really think your perceverance with this piece did let me solo her justice. I think in the end it looks awsome and i wouldn'd guess the hardships that went into it by looking at the finished sculpture. Thank you for this journey.
Thank you for including all the flaws, mistakes, failed experiments, and pain in your video. These are all important steps in the creative process that people WILL encounter in their own sculpts.
Just learned the lore behind all this a couple weeks ago. I don't even play Elden Ring or souls-like games. I do work at a game shop though so its par for the course. Great job on the artwork!!!
I really like seeing the mess ups honestly and the thought process behind the mistakes. I always dread mixing paint and having to make another batch to try and match the original. Seeing someone this skilled have the same fears as me is comforting honestly.
The anatomy fix was such a great lesson! You gave me such a lightbulb moment with your diagram over the sculpture. I feel more confident in my next drawings!
Wonderful to see your experiences, both the frustrating and successful ones. Considering some of the materials used are relatively new to you the end result still appears masterful.
From how you’re talking I can understand that you’re truly knowledged in your form of art is so amazing to hear. Even if there’s parts you could’ve done better in your own opinion, I just wanna let you know that this is an amazing piece!
This looks INCREDIBLE!! Instantly drawn to the thumbnail for this video because of how nicely it was posed. Wow, what a journey! Amazing ups and downs and show of your skill and perseverance. Subscribed as a sign of respect.
I love your message here….I find it to be true…about the time I am ready to melt it down, something in me says do not…make it work. Those tend to be my biggest successes…

I watch a lot of different kinds of artists to keep me inspired. Your videos are aweseome.
Jarnished, what a journey this must have been. thanks for the documentary!!!
Thanks for sharing and explaining all your mistakes. It was so nice to hear someone who can make something that looks so cool make mistakes too.
Phenomenal work, made me realize how much I miss sculpting w clay!
I really like seeing the mess ups honestly and the thought process behind the mistakes. I always dread mixing paint and having to make another batch to try and match the original. Seeing someone this skilled have the same fears as me is comforting honestly.
Man, that's incridible! Really like your work dude! Hugs from Brazil.
Great work my friend. Cos clay once you get use to it is one of the best materials I have ever used. Glad to see you enjoyed it.
I absolutely love your videos simply perfection in its most perfect form.
