I like the bloopers! Relatives in FL have solar panels & only have hot water sometimes, depending the time of day, weather, & sun. When that happens something else is supposed to kick in but does not & after install forget any help from the solar company. Others in FL have had problems as well with a different solar company.
In Ezell & Everglades, we all stand in line to get a ticket. Then we go back to our golf carts or cars to wait until class begins. We are not allowed to go into the water until right before class. This has been going on since Summer last year until present. I am ok with it because I so enjoy my water aerobics & aqua Zumba classes! So worth the wait!!

Another fun video. Thanks. Re: Cost of Meatloaf recipe. If you figure out what it costs to make it the next couple of times, using the leftover ingredients, you can cost average. Linda needs to more cooking videos. Her tried and true recipes are the best!
Regarding Linda's Meatloaf recipe, I see it includes BBQ and a bunch of other sauces. If you ever made your own BBQ you will recognize ALL those ingredients are used to make BBQ sauce. So basically you are making BBQ sauce to add to BBQ sauce. As a suggestion, try NOT using the bottle BBQ sauce and double the other ingredients and you will have fresh homemade BBQ sauce.
You mentioned that y’all have been there 4 years now….hard to believe it! I have watched y’all from the beginning….and so enjoy starting my Mondays off right with Jerry and Linda as I get ready for work. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait until I get a little closer to retirement and can come down for a lifestyle visit.
Hi Jerry and Linda, all residents are entitled 4 times a year to reserve a room for free ( known as a gratis room). It is a card room not a big room. You must have a valid villages iD ( resident or guest) and you have to put the room back to the way you found it and you are entitled to a larger 6 foot table and a microphone but projectors screens are an added charge. You also can use the kitchen and refrigerator.
I love watching your show. My cousin lives in the Villages and I’d love to visit someday. My husband is retiring in March, so going down South is looking better and better!!

I just came back from a 2nd ifestyle visit where I stayed at Christopher Villas in Deluna. It was an easy (but freezing 🥶) golf cart ride to Brownwood over the new bridge. It was also took a very short car ride to Sawgrass.
Nice to see Clint Eastwood is playing golf here in the villages. Haven’t had the privilege of playing around with him yet. Looking forward to seeing you on the bus heading to the cruise.

The “W” sauce is easily remembered by pronouncing it as: wuss - ta - sheer sauce. I'm from MA where we typically drop our r's and replace them with a's. However, if you do a Google translate for it, they pronounced it as : wuss - ter - sheer sauce . If you think of a weak or ineffectual person (wuss) as the beginning of the word - the rest is easy.

Good Monday morning to you both. When I made your meatloaf, I only needed crackers and ground beef. Crackers because I love them and don’t keep them in the house for obvious reasons and ground beef because I buy my meat when I know I’ll be using it right away. I just have the freezer on my refrigerator and it’s self-defrosting, of course. Not a good idea to keep things in it for more than a short time. I’ll be making the meatloaf again very soon. It is quite delicious. One change, as I mentioned previously, I plan on at least doubling the sauce. It’s yummy.

Jerry and Linda, are you allowed to have solar panels and if you are do they tell you how many you can have. Awhile back I saw in the news that Florida Power was trying to stop solar panels in some area's of the state. Can you tell us anything about this ?
I knew right away what resort you were at because we were there for the first time in February 2022. (Almost a year prior to this video.) We’ve been going to Palace properties in Cancun since 2021. Our first time at LeBlanc. And, yes, we’ve been members for many years. Very interested to see your review after a few days (we’ve spent the most time at both Sun Palace and Moon) depending upon if we’re traveling with family or not. We have our opinions of our week-long stay at LeBlanc. I’ll try to follow up after your review is posted since I don’t want to influence your opinion.

Have you ever tasted Cracker Barrel meatloaf? It is also very tasty--delicious too. The new Cracker Barrel fried chicken dish is also very delicious--on par with the Colonel I would say.
The high temperature in Chicago yesterday, February 3, was 10 degrees. Woodstock Willie, the groundhog in suburban Chicago & Punxsutawney Phil both saw their shadow on February 2. FIngers crossed my retirement start date is planned for December 2024. Hopefully no more snow, ice & cold for me after that.
Yikes, those long lines, the size of classes and the challenge to get on the pitch and putt course has me rethinking about visiting to see if this might be our retirement location. Sounds like there are so many people it might be a hassle.
Everyone has to decide what they will and will not put up with. For us it is totally worth any inconvenience that we might experience from time to time.

The high temperature in Chicago yesterday, February 3, was 10 degrees. Woodstock Willie, the groundhog in suburban Chicago & Punxsutawney Phil both saw their shadow on February 2. FIngers crossed my retirement start date is planned for December 2024. Hopefully no more snow, ice & cold for me after that.

Yikes, those long lines, the size of classes and the challenge to get on the pitch and putt course has me rethinking about visiting to see if this might be our retirement location. Sounds like there are so many people it might be a hassle.
Everyone has to decide what they will and will not put up with. For us it is totally worth any inconvenience that we might experience from time to time.
