- In this video I want to talk to you guys about keeping hold of the new Anarchy settlement (Scholey Mineralogic Platform or SMP) which we are using to farm materials for on foot engineering.

Till the thargoid war ends i have been using recovery systems with more than 1 week left (currently 2 available at 2+ weeks). Just bring a power regulator and some e-breach's, turn on power (don't forget to grab before you leave), disable door scanners and the whole place is mine. *Rare occasions there will be 3-6 pirates/scavengers on the ground when you arrive (you can jump into SC and drop back out when it initiates about 10km away and reset it or kill them quick) or if you spend some time there they can also be dropped off.* I use the Scorpion SRV if there are a few npc's there when i arrive also as a restock for e-breach's as i move from building to building. *heads up AX NPC's will potrol in ships and are no threat they are there to repair your ship if it takes damage.*
Well I suppose thats a way of getting ground conflict action.

I think this base is empty as of now, but I'm wondering if it's possible to target a settlement and influence it in a way, so that it would become a farming spot?
It is possible but it takes a lot of work.

SMP is an abandoned settlement now. If you go there, take a power regulator. In fact, as of 12-07-2024, about 21:30 US EDT, all the settlements on the planet are abandoned.
I get bounties all the time when farming settlements, and it is not a concern unless you get scanned. However, you never want to get scanned anyway.

SMP is no longer in conflict
SMP is currently in Bust status. All you need to do is just drop in with a Power Regulator and start it up. Farm. Then take the Power Regulator as you leave.
Indeed you can do this when it's offline.
@@loganterrick I stopped doing this after 3 runs. While its nice, you get more reward for your time when you do AX restoration missions in Post Thargoid recovery systems. You will get guaranteed data rewards plus whatever you loot.

As you probably know, Walmart has been shuttered for about 2 weeks then a CZ started a few days ago. Helped out with that as described in this video. Well the zone ended yesterday and it came back on sometime today and operated as per normal. Well it lasted about 2 runs and now its down again. Anyone have any idea what is going on with this and why it does this? Well at least I have 1 regulator now and will try doing it that way.
Hello i did this place twice one with anarchy faction and one with nobody and adding a power regulator just before the New faction arrive
I shall endeavour to do my part but as a Combat newbie with minimal engineering i fesr that may not be enough 😳😂

Yes it's viable. It's in the 'Ti Wanjang' system.

Yes, it is.

You can scan them to see if they have a bounty only
i am sorry but you are incorrect. in order for the settlement to remain with the faction f it is on the war transfer the faction must win the war not just fight in the ground CZ so you will need to make sure that the war is won for the faction.
Well, we will just have to agree to disagree on that one. 😉
