No discussion how to pull down the line when it needs to be pulled down?

Thank you for the preview. Just ordered this for $75 on prime. Looking forward to tryin it! I bought a honda used mower but need an edger for sure. Also that lighting at the very end of the video was so epic. Good video and thanks!

It's a pretty good little weed whacker. I like the edging option.

I use the Greenworks pole hedge trimmer going on 3 years, also have the chain saw for light jobs. Love there products.

Greenworks and Kobalt are the same physical device and Lowes; sells Kobalt.
The Greenworks 40Volt I have used for 5 years is a trimmer and a blower pair that both use a rechargeable 40Volt battery pack for either one. I never had any problem at my home with either device.

I used to have one and my yard was too big for it.. this is for small yards.. great for someone who needs a lighter machine

Yea, this trimmer is ok. Surely a light duty trimmer. I'll be reviewing a truly fantastic electric string trimmer here soon, so stay tuned!

It would be helpful to show how to replace the trimmer line

I'm very disappointed you didn't show us how to assemble it. The bottom portion black wheel thing I can't figure out how to do it. My screws don't line up completely.

I have the 48v version. 2x24 with the 24v blower. The trimmer seems more like a traditional gas one with the bump head. Might invest in the pole saw.

Cool! They were out of the 48V ones when they were sending stuff to me. Curious about that 48V one.

I pick one up on prime day for $55. for a small yard I think it does good for the price.

Thanks for the review. Looks a little underwhelming for my yard. May want to get bigger version. Tried the link to the website and I get a 404 error.

Sorry about that 404 error. I have fixed that link.

I got this about a week ago. Very very light duty however I think it does better as an edger then a weedeater. Compared my 48v 21” mower this thing much lower quality build. 2amph battery is to under powered. Overall ok considering it came with their even worse leaf blower.

Great Review thanks, 100k subscribers nice! Wonder if you know if there is a spring underneath the string reel? I took mine apart and I have two, a gas and this one. I can't remember if it had a spring and I misplaced it. I think it didn't based on what I see in the manual.

Oh wow, that trimmer is at another house. I'll have to get back to you on that.

Mine doesn’t feed the line. I have to constantly open it up and manually pull more line. Any recommendations?

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

It might be the way the line is wound. Sometimes it binds on itself, stuck in between revolutions of string. Try to cross it up alot while winding. Just a thought. Happens sometimes on my bigger trimmers.

I’m regretting the purchase of the weed eater+blower 40 volt Greenworks combo. The reviews I saw like this one misrepresent the product in a favorable light. The reviewers don’t take time with the product to see it’s worth. I have a corded Toro blower and corded Ryobi-plus trimmer. I also have a small 20v Black and Decker battery trimmer/edger and sweeper combo. I wanted a more powerful battery operated device. First, the GW blower was not able to truly push a bunch of leaves around and the mouth of the tube is too wide to really focus the power it has. It’s just a slightly more powerful “sweeper” than my B&D sweeper, and much heavier, of course. The corded products are much, much more powerful and substantial. But, you have to deal with the cord and cord replacements. The GW trimmer was managing okay on the barely coming out spring grass but when I applied it to the edge of the mulch and grass, the string broke off inside the head. When you reach in to pull out more it unravels. Once you wrap the string in the direction of the arrows, it wants to loosen and unravel as you strive to get the spool back in place. And then the string breaks again. You repeat the process and the line feed/cutter system pulls out a bunch of line when you turn it on wrapping line all around the head.
I just put the damned trimmer down and finished with the cheap little black and decker trimmer/edger.
I looked for instructional videos on the 40v 12” trimmer and this video is what I found. A nearly useless video that simply works as an advertisement. I’m going to work on this edger ‘cause I’m stuck with it now - probably will look for some tougher line. I bought an extra battery ( and extra line). I may be able to just barely make this blower and edger work for me. I rate it as a poor value. I wish I’d gone for the Echo I was comparing it to.

I can't get the string to keep from breaking every few minutes. I may try to wind on a bit stronger string onto the holder. As it is right now, it is almost worthless to me.

Hey Johnny Hughes it's funny I have a friend named the same. Any luck on getting your trimmer to work better? That's my problem too in addition I'm having a problem putting on that black roller thing. My three screws do not line up.

It really is thin string. My wife just bought a 12 pack of spools.

This does not go 45 minutes you're lucky to get 20 minutes. I thought you would have checked the whole battery out for your review

“ but but but actually so so.” Transition words are bad. Use them less or not at all and your video reviews will significantly improve.
