This video brings back so many memories. Four years ago I had Laphing there with my friends as a parting party for me. Seeing that just makes me so nostalgic and happy (and old). Btw the laphing seems to be changed, they didnt add the ramen and all that back then. The English name for Karela is momordica charantia, bitter gourd or simply bitter melon. It's a tropical plant of the family cucurbitaceae grown mainly in Asia and Africa. It's a very popular fruit used in nepali cuisine.

I’m Nepalese but when I eat my dinner which is always rice but I use spoon and fork instead of using my hand but if I’m eating papad or Roti with chicken or vegetable I obviously use my hand

That first Nepali thali might look a little expensive (around $4) to some but you actually get the refilling for free.
When it comes to Nepali dal/bhat (thali), you are expected to refill as you keep eating.
I pay $40 here is oslo with no refill.
