I have no idea if there is any truth to the story but I was told after having to have two of my scales replaced that rolling onto the scales is not a good idea. A person should park on a 2x6 and roll onto them or set the vehicle on them with a jack or hoist.. Great channel guys keep up the good work.
Yes. Most automotive scales are not designed to be tweaked the way they are when you drive up on the lip of them. Race ramps actually sells a really small ramp that will let you roll right on the scale level. Letting it down on the scale without turn plates is also not great because the suspension won't settle properly after being let down and that will both side load the scale and throw off your corner weights (also turn plates don't totally remove this issue but they help on the front)

Pro tip on the winter mx helmet, tape the breather hole closed and a towel as a skirt on the front then tuck that fella in your coat, it'll be as warm as you can get without heated gear

while you would be correct 95% of the time, these proforms are designed to be rolled on and off. they even have little ramps built into the shells

Adjusting preload on the shocks can balance weight distribution as well as set ride height. The rear was way off side to side on pre weigh in....
