Esthetician here, there is absolutely no need to apply sun block at night. Also if you use tretnoin which is one of the strongest actives you can really mess up your barrier if you mix it with other actives like aha/bha. Please be careful y’all :) choose one active and slowly build your tolerance before including other ones, and one you do make sure you alternate nights. Spf is crucial during the day if you’re using any actives and reapply 2-3 times especially during long summer days.
And yea and even on cloudy days. Skipping spf can lead to worsening of pigmentation and aging which is the whole point of using strong actives. Skincare can be so fun but please be careful with actives :)
