Initially thought this is a news video until I saw Anupam Kher!
Same 😂
I thought the same 😊
My sister thought the same😂😂😂😂😂
This is why I love my pads. Tampons just seem so weird to me. It’s called a menstrual flow and it seems to letting flow is the natural thing to do
RIGHT...

Exactly
I thought it was so touching that the doctor called her family and they were in the room and she got to hug them after the surgery procedure was so amazing and sweet.
This is why he’ll always be my favorite doctor on the show.
I don’t watch the show it’s not available in my area but I can at least see why you say what you say and I agree with you. If only doctors were like him unfortunately he’s fiction.

What show is this
Well I missed it 🤷🏽♀️ otherwise I would not have asked for the name 😂but thank you 😊
Regardless of the prison reference in this show. I feel it important to point out the dangers of tampon use. I recently became very ill, I was found to have a retained tampon, 4 weeks since my last period! It's no joke ladies, be sure, be absolutely sure you remove them. The hospital sent me home with antibiotics, I was back later that same day with TSS, I felt so unwell, I wished for death, in fact I begged them to let me go. I spent 3 weeks in critical care. How did I forget I had a tampon in? No idea, according to my gyyny, it's very common! My advice to any woman now, would be, if you can avoid using them, then do that. I'm 54 yrs old now, been using them since I was 18, the one and only time I left one behind nearly cost me my life.
I’m glad you’re ok but how does someone forget a foreign object inside of them! This is mind boggling to me!
Your guess is as good as mine! I've never done it before!
We try our best to remember things. But we will forget things as we get older. I only hope that, as I do, it is only mild. I am scared to get Alzheimer's.
@@QueenCallisto It's easily done, forgetting things, I'm menapausal and it's a daily occurance, not quite to that extent I'm glad to say! The more women I talk to about it, the more I'm seeing I'm not alone in forgetting a tampon, I've never been so embarassed in my life.
A lot of the times when girls go out drinking they can forget and it doesn’t feel like anything.
Doctor
Is the INDIAN actor, Mr, Anupam kher. A legend.
Saddest part: she could have died and her family would have never known she was even sick. Also, treat prisoners as humans - we're not animals.
It is not okay to treat animals that way. Why do so many people insinuate that it is okay to treat animals poorly?
Facts women shouldn’t have to pay for pads or tampons in jail or prison we can’t control having a period or not
While sad, it is actually a huge security risk to let family or anyone outside the prison know that a prisoner has been transported to a hospital. The doctor put the whole hospital at risk by doing that.
Animals are better than us
@@solereaper4801Our parents should pay for them. They're the ones who brought us into the world.
Dr kapor is kind and compassionate to deny someone enough tampons is inhuman
Each correctional facility must have a written policy in place providing free tampons and pads to inmates upon admission, a routine basis, and request. Female inmates in state correctional facilities must be provided with feminine hygiene products per a process developed by the commissioner of corrections.
there arbeiten other options... like a menstrual cup for example you only spend money once and you can use it over and over again ( of course you will have to empty and clean it every couple of hours) there are even organisations who give menstrual cups for free out to women who can not afford it.
Yea jails and prisons are very messed up and take away what should be human rights
@@blackforest_fairynot everyone can wear a cup.
Someone are just allergic to the material or their genital regions cannot handle a foreign object being inserted for a period of time.
My health over the environment.
Sorry not sorry👌
@@xxrandomgamerxx810I mean they shouldn’t have done what they did to get in prison
Seeing her children, holding them, hugging them that is a major part of her healing. It will strengthen her to keep going forward. The doctor was phenomenal.
He did the right thing.
He knew she needed to see her kids and the only way was to lie about a private test
Yeah that’s so sad they must’ve missed her a lot I know bc when I was 6 my dad went to prison for 3 years and I only got to see him twice and when it was time to leave I cried bc I wanted him to come with me so I feel bad for kids who go through this every day and hope it’ll get better☺️

@@SIsssssssssssssssssss I agree
I am a correctional nurse at a jail, and this is the sweetest thing ever.
Hi, retired 12 yrs, worked 25 yrs county jail
Thank you doctor by treating her like human that she’s.For the police, you can be kind while doing your job. There’s nothing wrong with a little kindness.
Yeah guards are different here in Canada there’s another video on here about a Canadian inmate and her and the guard were like family..
I stopped using tampons years ago and my periods have been lighter with little to no cramping or pain. It’s best to let everything come out naturally
This happened to me but I switched to menstrual cups. My period went from 8+ days to like 3-4 days
Very true. Tampons are the devil. I wore it once in my teen years, couldn’t even sit down or walk without feeling it. I hated it. It’s uncomfortable and it’s not natural to walk around with something stuck up in you blocking what’s supposed to come out.
@@malkia5572you didn’t put it in right if you felt it and it’s not blocking anything from coming on. How does blood end up on the tampon if it’s blocking it from coming out? It’s prevents the flow from passing out the opening of the vagina, that’s it.
@@Shun_Lovette. . It blocks it from coming out the opening it’s trying to exit. . .
Literally reabsorbing decaying organic material soaking into a foreign body . . Blocking the exit
That's usually because more than likely you were using conventional tampons, which contain ingredients that alter your cycles. They are totally toxic.
If our prison system was kinder to women, that lady would never have been in the hospital because of tampons.
Exactly, she shouldn’t have buy tampons,or to worry about how many she can buy before her funds dry up to the point where she’s stretching them that much!! In my opinion no women should have to pay for menstrual supplies, anywhere,we can’t help it’s how our body functions!!
The episode didn't that much info on her sentence but the way it way enforced, was the Warden or his bosses just sexist brick-heads?
Seriously
We need to ban women's prison altogether. Prison should only be for bad men!
@@XSilver_WaterX yep, and cheapskates at that
So nice of the doctor to do this.
TSS is the main reason I refuse to use tampons, I've seen so many cases of it. I live in a country that has free healthcare, but I don't want to risk, TSS is not common here, because we mostly use pads.
It’s not that common plz relax. There’s 4 BILLION women in this planet and your odds are about 1/100,000 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 be hygienic you’ll be fine weirdo.
i believe that a majority of known cases of TSS were of people doing a lot of other unhealthy things in tandem with wearing the tampon for longer than necessary, so the chances of TSS from well managed use of a tampon, as well as general cleanliness, and a clean environment, are actually pretty low. I think, lol
How can you wear it 9 days when 💦💦 everywhere
No such thing as free, you, or someone that works pays for it
@@yesterdayseyes I know, the hospitals here in Brazil are financed by taxes, what I meant for free healthcare is, the population don't pay for medical support, a lot of the treatments are free, ambulances are free, medications are free, sometimes even the transportation is free if the hospital that you need to go is in another city.
My mom has asthma and had gestational diabetes, she doesn't pay for her asthma medication and she didn't had to pay for insulin, needles, injections, they even gave her a glucose monitor, all for free.
My other siblings and I, also do some treatments, my brother has Autism, my sister has epilepsy and I have ADHD and Social Anxiety, my sister already did a genetic test that went overseas for free, and my brother has priority everywhere, he has rights to free public transportation, buses and trains, along with his guardians, my mom and I, football stadiums have spaces to prevent sensory overload, and priority lines in public spaces for the same reason.
This is what I mean for free healthcare 👍
I need to watch this show now. The doctor's voice is so soothing.
it is SO SO good! cannot recommend it enough.
You won't regret it trust me!

Where can I find this show
One time I when I was 15, I forgot about a tampon that I had put right before bed the following morning, I even put a new one on top of that one. I remember that I started sweating and feeling nauseous out of nowhere, so I decided to go to the bathroom to see how I could feel better. I was totally mortified when I realized I had TWO TAMPONS IN. I removed them both right away and I felt better within minutes. It was so weird. But don’t ever mess with tampons!!
Right it happens but 9 days omg she forgot I think bless her heart😮
@@tinalynch9283she was in prison. Women's prisons in the US are notorious for providing insufficient sanitary products for menstruating women. I saw a former inmate once describe having to fashion makeshift tampons out of pad stuffing, toilet paper and other items 😢
Isn't 15 virgin? How can you insert it?
@@moodmeditation4458 well yeah I was a virgin but it doesn’t mean that I didn’t have a vagina💀do you think the hole just magically opens the first time you have sex?? Tampon won’t make you lose your virginity either, the hymen can break even when you don’t put anything up there.
No you can “mess” with tampons just be mindful. That was you who forgot n caused the issue not the tampon. Ns.
This is so sweet and this doctor was amazing for doing that. Also this is exactly how the US prison system and the psychiatric hospitals treat women of color and women in general
Have you been in a US hospital? I've never been in one that that had a mostly white staff, the staff is almost always entirely extremely liberal. Stop crying wolf with the fake "US is racist!" BS. You're the racist one.
Wow, the ending to this clip made me teary-eyed ❤
Me too. Nothing like a hug and kiss from Mom🤍
I quit tampons a year ago after hearing so many stories like this one.
I never used it again after highschool I tried one 😢it was the worse thing ever. I'm 27 pads only .
I quit tampon after high school many years ago. I’ll make sure my girls don’t either. I saw to many stories of what ppl went through.
What a lovely doctor. Bless him. I had tears in my eyes
That was so nice of him, what a kind doctor
If there’s a shortage of tampons in the prison system, wouldn’t it make sense to use menustrual cups which are reusable?
If the prisoners could even afford them
That would be a human response n they don’t treat them like humans
Some prisons will only give female prisoners 3 pads per period. If they bleed through them and stain their uniforms they lose privileges, including more pads
@@Princess_Cheese wow so they get punished for being women and having natural bodily functions MESSED UP 😔😔😔
@@Princess_Cheese Want to bet a man came up with that idea.
How can they do that???? I’ve been in jail in florida in Saint Lucie county and Collier county and they always made sure we had tampons. However, they don’t have super absorbent tampons like ultra or super but there also more likely to cause TSS when it comes to the super absorbent ones. It’s disgusting she didn’t have enough and to keep wearing the same ones and as a result caused her to get sick. That’s a law suite. I’m glad she got to see and hug her babies 🥹🥹🥹
It’s called TV. Not real life.
LawSUIT not suite.
I think St Lucie and Collier are run by the DOC or Sheriff directly. When you get into for-profit campuses that are managed by private equity, THAT is where they start rationing things past the point of safe or humane treatment.
I live in St Lucie and they never had issues with giving out pads unless you were asking for unreasonable amounts. That’s one of the things they were good for
That's a truly good compassionate doctor to give that mother such a joyful blessing of hope!
The end made me cry. Love stories like this.

That toxic shock thing is super wild.😢😢 and any woman who uses tampons needs to be aware. You should only use tampons on the days or day when your flow is heavy, don't use them on your last day or last days, when your vagina is no longer wet enough. I get sanitary pads can be very annoying if you are used to the comfort and hygiene that tampons give, but they are very dangerous when used on a drying up vagina. People need to be made aware. You can literally die, it's not a joke.
That's a good Dr right there. A good Man
I know a story like this from HS. A girl once said there was a strange smell in the house for a few weeks. They narrowed it down to her cousin. The poor child had the tampon in for a month! No one had told her how to use it.
a month? you don't have a period for a month!
@@nofybn7794 I'm pretty sure even after her period she kept it in

toxic shock syndrome is very serious :( it’s important to change your tampon every 4-6 hours so that you don’t get this also it’s very sad that this is common 💔💔
I saw the title and wondered how someone could use a tampon for 9 days with all the info about toxic shock, then i saw she was an inmate and that instantly explained it all. They get treated horribly and probably only gave her 1 tampon to use.

I even never see the ads on the TV.. people mostly use pads.. the good thing is you can see everything on the pad so you cannot ignore to change it
I had tss from using tampons and it damn near killed me because I went septic I can relate to what she went through thankfully I don’t have to go through that no more since I’ve had a hysterectomy
Why did u get tss? Did u wear it longer than recommended, or use too much absorbency? Or use it too often?

If she was bleeding heavy, the tampon would of started leaking within a few hours hence making no sense to even keep it in

Most prisons only offer pads (unlimited amounts as long as you're demonstrably on your period)
"ALWAYS" period pads all the way for me. Im 49yrs old and I've never used a tampon.
Great Doctor❤Beautiful patient❤Beautiful children❤
I’ve heard many stories like this and they make me want to keep using pads. I’ve never once used tampons and its probably for the best.
The most unrealistic part about this is her being sent to the hospital before she was on death's door.
Lord knows any inmate that can talk doesn't get medical attention.
This doesn't make any sense. If she has severe bleeding regularly wearing a tampon for a couple of hours would be as long as it would work for. Why would she be wearing one for 9 days when it would have soaked through on the first day?
There’s a lack of menstrual products in US prisons. Some women are forced to stretch out the last tampon for a few days.
@@gabriellealleyne6724I knew there'd a be a white woman in the comments turning the pettiest situation into some type of oppression.

Omg. What a sweet doctor. I love it. When a person is arrested they treat them like animals. These are human beings that made a mistake. No one is perfect.
Awww what a cute ending
Im glad i never wear tampons. Pads are easy to use and remember.
Tampons aren't scary. What causes a lot of side effects for women who use tampons are ingredients that go into the tampons. Yes, your tampons have ingredients. Bleached cotton, artificial scents, nanoplastic fibers, residual pesticides used to grow the cotton, etc. A lot of women report lessened or no side effects when they use natural tampon brands. These brands are usually more expensive unfortunately and not every store has them because they're not as popular as the big name brands that pay for shelf space.
This happened to a girl I went to school with!! But she forgot about hers and remembered literally at school(she had hers in for 3 days),she went to the bathroom and removed it.Proceeded to pass out and was rushed to the hospital with a severe infection. She was out of school for like 2 weeks.

Unfortunately women are regularly not even enough menstrual products or even clothing to live in in prison because prison is purposefully horrifically cruel is not made for women who bleed and even give birth in prison. Also having fibroids means her periods were likely like a constant tidal wave.
