As someone who watched strike the blood from start to end 5 or 6 times because I'm just an average harem anime enjoyer, I overanalyzed the whole thing and every time I completed it I could say only one thing: It could have been so much better. I mean, it starts ok, it has some interesting takes on magic systems and demi-humans and most of the lore and world-building was connected in a somewhat interesting way, but and this is a big BUT, the character developement was almost non-existent and the story wasn't even developed to the point where it could become interesting. If it was actually less if a ecchi/harem and more of a pure action with better written characters and it actually continued from where it stopped It would be amazing. We could see Kojou create his own empire and fight for the rights and harmony of every living being and him and the others battling many more crazy-ass strong monsters as well as his romantic life with some of the characters leading to the birth of his children who can probably be even as strong as him someday. There was so much potential and yet it ended on such a mundane ending that it makes me want to pick a pen and paper and just start writing it myself just so I can see it finished xd.
10:25 this was funnier than it shouldve been because "child from the future" is something i've been burned by as someone who loved CW shows and middling webtoons. it's a pregnancy scare for shows that cant mention sex, but also worse because it kills any probable future relationships with other people the characters could have (because they're inevitable) and sacrifices whatever development could happen in their relationship in favor of developing a once-off character. and that's only if the creators are merciful enough not to bring them back whenever they've written themselves into a corner with the relationship. I have yet to see a story that's improved by Time Traveler Baby but the impact is usually lessened if it's at the near-end of the show. the fact that Strike the Blood did it so early is baffling. The only other show I can think of that did this was The Flash
I hated Strike The Blood so much, I spent like a year trying to get through Strike The Blood, To Love-ru and Fairytail 1st season cus the first two kept pissing me of and making me pause and the last bored me, I'm tired of harems with great potential that throw everything out the window with a bland mc and annoying or one-dimensional love interests they never show any interest seriously in until the last episode
hare i have challange for you: review anime called "conception" its adapted from jrpg with 12 girl route and it took me 160 hour to get to all route, btw, it only have 12 eps anime, if you read my comment at H2O video, you know how this is going
@@TheHaremReviewermy brotha, you must watch this masterpiece and goated anime called The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, it's both funny and wild, also has a chad mc
What made Strike the Blood terrible for me was how the author handled the battle scenes. There's never any need for strategy at all; it's just whoever has the strongest attack move wins. The author failed to even convey which move is stronger, so in the end, it's a "whatever move the MC pulls, he will win, so don't question it" stance. To top it off the animation for the summons is just subpar lighting effects while the MC yells its name, lame. It has potential initially, but the author just wasted it all. If I remember it correctly I've read the author's previous work and it was even more of a disaster than Strike the Blood so In a way he's improving a bit, but yeah it's still pretty bad.
For me, Strike the Blood is crazy as hell. But, Linebarrels of Iron is an abomination, and it's one of the worst mecha anime of 2008-09. But, the best mecha anime was 86 Eighty-Six. And so The Harem Reviewer and I were actually want to vote for Trump on Election Day, yeah!?
it may be garbage, but its my garbage!, 'no, its our garbage senp- *WHACK*
