Très classe et profond, et l’entendre sur l’orgue de Gigout c’est un vrai luxe.

Excellent great performance and what a great video to boot! Instead of the usual 'round the church shots' we get to see the instrument in all it's glory. I love this the only sad thing was my iPhone couldn't handle the streaming so it was sadly a case of stop/start.

Gigout served at this organ for 62 years; it's likely he played this very work here many times. (Fun fact: Leon Boëllmann was Gigout's nephew-by-marriage.)

At 3:25, notice the wooden nuts threaded onto the threaded rack board dowels.
I think Monsieur Matry did a proper interpretation of this piece. Very good clip.

A FINE interpretation of this much-abused piece. I agree with the others below. I hate "tail on fire" performances of this wonderful little firecracker of a toccata. The speed is built in by the rhythm - it does not need to be accentuated further by the organist. Bravo, Monsieur Matry!
