It may seem like a joke now. But in 2004 when I joined Svce the principal addressed the new students like this ‘we are no inferior to IIT, we are the best engineering college in Tamil nadu’. That speech still resonates in my mind.

@@RoadrunnerCoyote heard the college still fills up fast for circuit branches. CS fills up like 193-194 range for OC apparently.
For CS,IT,AIDS branches, seats get filled up very fast. But weras for mech,civil no one prefers it much and hence the cutoff is low.
