How do you prepare for long rides? do you have nutrition and hydration products that you prefer to help keep your endurance up? how do you prepare for fall/winter riding. Do you have a maintenance regime for your bikes? A few ideas, and always more riding videos.

Great suggestions! I’ll be sure to add what I do for maintenance, nutrition and gear for different temperature ranges.

It would be great to see a video going over some lesser known Lethbridge trails that don't have any coverage yet on your channel, or like mini tours of the North-Side, West-Side and Southside type videos... Also, for newer riders, getting to know the names of your preferred climb trails would be helpful (not necessarily videos of climbs, but more mention of the names of the climb trails you use in different parts of the town). Keep up the good work.

Great ideas! I’ll add it to the list and I’ll be sure to mention climbs and maybe part of the climb for clarity.

Regular format has been great, but yeah regular rides are good.
We want to see you clear those stairs now! 😄
Oh night rides are fun and suspenseful to watch..maybe a full moon night ride? 🌜

Haha I’ll have to session those stairs until I get them lol. My night riding season has just begun so there should be more to come! Hopefully the stars align and I get some nice moonlight for some of those videos! Thanks again!

Your doing a great job mixing up the content! Glad to see you are posting more shorts! I always liked your trail talk vids ! Keep up the good work! I haven’t seen ya ride badger this season!? I have left it out this year cause the crazy over growth on the run out! Looks better now so hoping to get a few runs down it! Cheers

Thanks buddy! I think I only rode badger a couple times this year too bc of the overgrowth. I did catch it on video once though, I think that might be coming up next week! Happy riding!

Perhaps some more rides away from the familiar trails at Lethbridge, and some different camera angles (trailside, front-on, drone) to add variety. As an experienced MTBer you could also give your opinions on fundamentals such as hardtail vs full susp, coil fork vs air fork, 29er vs 27.5, bike geometry suitable for different types of terrain and rider - these are questions that folks thinking of getting into the sport might have. If you want to see how other cycling YTbers have evolved their channel over a few years, check out 'Rusty Rides Gravel'; very different and much better now than when he started out 3 or 4 years ago. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions! I know what you mean about getting away from Lethbridge and riding elsewhere! It’s such a breath of fresh air when I get to ride in different places. This year has been particularly bad for that, I only got a couple rides in Crownest Pass and another two rides in West Kelowna.
I’ll see about adding new camera angles! I have a few ideas about that.
I like the other suggestions about HT vs FS, suspension, etc!
Thanks a bunch I have been thinking of a few of those suggestions already but it’s always nice to check in with viewers and see what they are looking for too!

Love the local trails/commuting rides wish I could hit single track on way to work the fact you can talk so well during your rides is impressive seems so simple but I find it hard to focus on talking when I’m riding lol. Do you build any trails?

    • @ivanmtb00
      @ivanmtb00  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thank you! There are short times I need to be a bit quieter and focus, or if I’m getting tired on a big ride. I’m pretty lucky how close I am to our local trails for sure! I haven’t built anything yet but the city is currently sanctioning trails which is awesome! Our trail group encourages users not to dig until we have a proper process. Once we sanction trails I’ll happily join in on doing some proper maintenance and new trails if they need help. As I’m riding though I’ll do some minor stuff to clean up a trail if it’s needed though.

Just make videos you like man, don’t try to please the algorithm

    • @ivanmtb00

For sure, the channel started as some simple riding videos showcasing my local trails. I definitely won’t be chasing any kind of TH-cam career! I figured I would ask what people would want to see or if they had any specific questions they want to pick my brain on. I appreciate the comment! That’s ultimately what I want too, I definitely don’t want biking to turn into work.
