I thought by playing octane you were supposed to stim always and stay way ahead of your team and take all the loot. Then go start a 3 on 1 fight and when your teammates get to the fight you run away. Idk 🤷🏼♂️

Also, stim away from your team into a three squad fight and rage at your team for not being there when you drop. Also, don't forget to ping enemies 10000000 times
Then get knocked, yell at your team that they are trash, they grab your banner…..get to a beacon and the octane quits.
Everytime I use wraith phase, she does her hair, make a sandwich, take a nap, tells Wattson a story, then finally her tac begins then I die and then her passive tells me that there's a shooter nearby. Love her thou.
one thing You should've mentioned for wraith is that when you get the prompt to tell your team about the warnings you should always use it. it's pretty useful for them too know if another team is aiming straight at them or is close by.
As a Horizon main, one thing I learned, was using her tactical on knocked opponents, preventing their still standing team mates from getting to them as easily, or on opponents that beat you to a landing point and you need to buy some time to escape. The other was getting to high points that would otherwise be out of bounds, but have enough of a ledge to stay in bounds, like Broken Moon’s Terraformer roof.
As a Octane main I truly understand this and thank you for this.
As a pathfinder main I'm glad he gets more love. Listen to this the hit box didn't affect my teammates because when they played as wraith they said they felt short lol like they couldn't see as much without a taller character lol
Mande using Pathfinder like a boss is I think one of the main reason why Path has a higher pick rate. I even see a lot more now where they using Sentinel which Mande is usually using.
One thing I found useful when using vantage is when you go to echo jump, right before you reach him, recall him then double jump to make yourself a little harder to hit by changing where you'll land.
Sometimes I zone out watching these videos because the gameplay in the background is so good. Post some games on here mango I'd watch every game no lie

Honestly with Octane I usually try to use it as a micro rotational tool or to create distance between a team if we are losing a fight and we need time to heal back up
another tip for Paths Ult is the zip jump, where you lunch high in the air by imeadiatly jumping of the zip after connecting
Path has high pick rate even with high skill ceiling because well simply he is fun to play. Wish devs leaned more into making characters that are just fun to play with some type of movement mechanic, rather than wall hacking pog machines.
That would be horrible... Apex is a team based game, each legend needs their own role. If every legend was just a movement legend then the game would be boring

I use wraith and the unique way I use her tactical is to spin circles around my opponent and always keep their back facing me like a jiu jitsu practitioner. This works super well in the LTM Gun game.
One thing to mention about pathfinder is that his cooldown on the grapple depends on how far you move HORIZONTALLY, you can move very far vertically and suffer only a short cool down
Horizon , Wraith and Path are a lot fun. Too bad I really need to improve with all of them . I really need to work on both grapple and zip plays; black hole plays , and portal Placement. I'm at least more comfortable using them, even if mostly just for missions like with Pathy. If I have play as Bangalore or bloodhound missions, I'm so off.
Every single gun run match theres always an octane on each team (I can't be talking tho I pick octane too)

@MangosInTrees. I use the same controller and the same settings. Its the best layout imo BUT one question. when I use R3 for crouch (which is perfect), my controller gets extreme stickdrift in 2-3 weeks (on xbox controller). Is that normal? I am sure, that I dont push the button too hard. Anyone the same experience?

Bro most of the octanes i get on my team are some of the most aggressive,0 iq player.They literally never play with team,stim directly into a whole squad to outaim the whole team or die.If they die then they will either rage or straight up leave
Fun fact l, octanes recoil is also heavier when he stims, more specifically for pistols BECAUSE of his strafe speed
Also, wraiths tactical activates instantly if used after you use the portal, but there still has to be portal energy, more than 10% to be exact, otherwise she just instantly comes out of phase on accident

An indoor jump pad can really throw a wrench into an enemy push
I feel like KC being in rotation makes Path a better pick. He’s my favorite Legend and I like him on the other maps but on KC, his mobility makes him the King of escapes and repositions.
I think most players underestimate the power of short repositions with Path. Slingshotting is fun, but quick grapples win fights.

For the 97% of playstation players this is new and educational. 2% over use. 1% they are aware
I used wraith tactical while in a Horizon Ult, it's a get out of jail free card. You can instantly run out of the Ult with zero resistance.

Pathfinder makes sense because you have a lot of new players coming from warzone and pathfinder is one of the few free starter options

How do uou shoot with zero recoil?? Ive tried messing with some of the alc setting and its helped a lil but i see other people have a way better zero recoil when shooting
A better title would be how the most popular legends are overrated and do almost nothing for the team. Octane, pathfinder, wraith are the most overrated legends in the game who are popular because they are og, fun to play, and have selfish abilities. None of these legends are picked in competitive, and they are all useless on the average player. Valkyrie and horizon are the actual good movement legends cause they actually have useful and effective team abilities. Can’t remember the last time I was in a situation where a pad, portal, or zip line was anywhere close to as useful as a valk ult or horizon lift. If pros don’t use these legends anymore then I don’t know why the community still thinks these legends are the best. Pathfinder grapple at least still has a supper high skill ceiling that good players can carry teams with, but if those players aren’t that good then he’s a waste of a pick for the team.
It was definitely an annoying time when horizon came out 😂 but she's so good when I finally got around to playing her

You say not to grapple without an opening, but you call path an entry-fragger? I’m confused.
Nuance man. Entry fragging is just opening the fight with damage. Get damage, grapple in secure a knock or two if possible. Don’t just grapple into a team without an opening.

1st tip with octane I stopped listening. Stimming to much. As the clip that plays right before is him with 1 HP using a stim lol
You know James, if you watched the clip you would see I stimmed away to break line of sight from a 3rd party and I got enough space and time to bait the guy to chase me which I then downed him and hit a finisher on him. But you do you

Wall jumping well during fights is a skill gap but , if there was a script that did it automatically then it would not be , dont you agree ?
