I like the concept - a lot. Really well done - you knew it was coming, but not when or how. I'd like to see this concept given a decent budget to work with for a feature length film.
I hate when they make an awesome werewolf suit and don't show it until the end, or barely show any of it. Lots of hard work went into it, and nobody gets to admire it. Ah well.
Maglot the Wolf I mean, it builds suspense, and its not as scary when you see it too much. An American Werewolf in London nailed it, plus the camera angles.
I'm really late for the party here but I just have to say that absolutely has to be the same werewolf costume as the one in the boy that cried werewolf from 2010 I believe
Not bad. But I wish some people would stop talking about and showing wolves in these werewolf films. I was getting kind of worried that the werewolf's design was going to look like a regularass wolf. And I was so glad to see that it didn't when they finally showed it at 15:25. But anyway, werewolves aren't wolves. They are supernatural creatures. They're aren't part man and part wolf. Yeah, they have a creature side to them as well as a human side, but I'm tired of people talking about and showing regularass wolves on the subject of werewolves. They should just say "the monster" or something. Don't talk about a creature that already exists that you can find in a zoo to describe a supernatural creature. There are already things like that bullshit show Tru Blood that actually make the werewolves look like regularass wolves when they transform and don't know what a werewolf is or suppose to be. Also, the "pureblood" thing is bullshit. A werewolf is a werewolf. They can be born a werewolf or turned by being bitten or scratched by a werewolf and survive. There is no such thing as part werewolf, so there is no such thing as a pureblood. It's a virus like it says here in this video. If you have the virus, you are a werewolf. If you don't, then you're not.
A werewolf is a human possessed by the spirit of a wolf. The man turns into a wolf, not some half-human/half-wolf hybrid, though the wolf he turns into will be unusually large, usually with human hands and eyes. While human, he often has a lot of body hair, especially in the palms of his hands, with eyebrows that meet, and the index finger is longer than the middle finger. The most common kind of werewolf in myth is the witch or warlock that turns into one intentionally, by undergoing a ritual involving a spell and potion. It sometimes involves wearing a wolf skin and the potion has hallucinatory ingredients, which might explain the witche's belief that he has become an animal. In other myths, if a child has the audacity to be born on Christmas day, he or she is cursed to be a werewolf. There are other ways, but, being bitten is one of the less common mythical reasons for transformation. Also, a werewolf can be killed like any other wolf; weapons made of silver to kill a werewolf was a Hollywood adaptation of mythical ways to combat other evils, such as vampires. In some legends, a werewolf, upon death, will become a vampire.
In the original lore, a werewolf was a person who turned into a genuine wolf. There was a little bit of hybridization in some lore, but for the most part the hybrid creatures were done after the advent of Hollywood because it was the easiest way to portray a werewolf in the days before CGI or other advanced special effects. The ones that show them turning into full-blown wolves instead of human-wolf mixtures are actually closer, at least in that regard, to what the original superstitions actually were. And I gotta be honest, I like it better when they do that: have them turn into actual wolves.
A werewolf is a being, that is showing wilderness of animal(it can be literaly even another animal - bear, cat - mostly carnivorous) and at the same time the gross of human kind, the bad side of humanity....mostly its a curse or spell and there can possibly be different types of when, why, what... but just ..animals do nothing wrong, only people :)
never did like how the werewolf in AWL looked. It would have looked right at home on sesame street. The ones in The Howling or Dog Soldiers were awesome though.
Absolutely da bomb.. Everything about this short story video is spectacular, fantastic and hands down awesome. So wonderful to know that there are writers out there who knows what a real werewolf is suppose to look like, a beast monster. Not any weak pansy looking giant wolf. Because, wherever the stupid idea to call giant WOLVES werewolves, is in my book "lame as all outdoors," not impressive at all. I.appreciate videos and movies that profess to call werewolves just as they've been for many decades, gigantic beasts that walk and run on two monstrous large werewolf feet,.and even run if they prefer. And they can run on all four paws, as long as they're still looking like werewolves, not giant wolves. It's like me saying, "I'll take my drink straight with no chaser." I'd love to see your work in a motion picture because you, sir, are the real deal.
He looks like a vampire when he first starts to transform, instead of 'now you believe?!' He should have said ' now, let's make those killings 31!' Astrid.x
Guys, I have to admit for werewolf movie short, it is pretty good and definitely has the potential to be a very Bada** !!! Feature movie!!! It really reminds me of the 80s and early 90s werewolf genres!!! I love the look of the werewolf makeup it looks like a Newfoundland hound!!!
Very polite. Most definitely a civilized man. I also very much dig his white shoes. Is there a DVD-release available that I can buy ? ? Because I can't seem to find it on eBay or Amazon . . .
My man, the werewolf suit is not bad, and that howl is AMAZING. It is on par to An American Werewolf in London's, and i would like to know, where did you get those sound effects and how?
Wow this is a great short film I love the music too. I only wish it was a whole film and had a little better special effects. But it's a Indy film which is nice because it means someone who is talented and is not famous yet made it.
I am a MASSIVE werewolf critic, and I have to admit, I was quite impressed with this! The only thing I didn't like was the suit. Other than that, well-written!
There wasn't really a prisoner. The prisoner was just a device the doctor's normally rational mind came up with to cope with the fact that the doctor is a werewolf. Cognitive dissonance or something.
On my second viewing of this...I didn't realise the patient just vanished after he started choking the doctor and had started transforming as well...... So much build up.....and then that werewolf costume that seems out of place. Should have just left that bit out and it would have been all the more effective for it.
This very similar to a short story called "The Waters of Lethe" by Bill Bridges. You can find this on the "When Will You Rage "novelisation based on the "Werewolf the Apocalypse"role playing game. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lethe It obviously needs more backing here....no visual transformation , unless the break between seeing the Doctor getting sick and appearing to start to go through a transformation is deliberate attempt to hide something and next you see this very bogus looking werewolf..
Finally a werewolf short with a decent Werewolf! 👍
Now that is how you treat the genre with the respect it deserves. Great film.
I like how the werewolf of wisdom has something of a Hannible Lector style in how he talks and acts. A lovely werewolf tale.
The prisoner definitely has a lupine stare. Excellent casting and performance.
This Definitely should be made into a big movie, that people can buy, I would definitely buy it.
Wow. This was, by far, the best short film I have ever seen.
This short film kept me glued. Excellent directing, amazing acting and a brilliant story line. Loved it.
In an alternate Universe Fox's series, 'Werewolf' had this kind of production value and level of acting. That series would have ran forever!
Force Creator I remember that show it was great
Never got to see that series. Can I find it somewhere.
@@deanruttenbur3349 its on here bro. Werewolf TV series
I have always thought that the werewolves of Werewolf look more baboon then wolf
That was awesome, I agree that this should definitely be made into a movie. Great job.
I like the concept - a lot. Really well done - you knew it was coming, but not when or how. I'd like to see this concept given a decent budget to work with for a feature length film.
Please some one fund this into a full length film , the short film was great.
I agree I would love to see this as a full-length feature film. I hope someone hears the howl of the fans and makes it happen.
@@bathoary 😂 great way of saying what we all want 🤣😎
Shudder has some really good full length horror and suspense films.
Very good cinematography and acting! Needs a lot more recognition than it currently has.
15:24 Isn't that the werewolf costume from The Boy Who Cried Werewolf? Looks pretty similar, I like it.
That has to be the costume from the boy who cried werewolf. It is IDENTICAL

Mr. Cool True Blood and Twilight hated them nothing but wolves and they suppose to be werewolves

@@michaelvenuti6560 I wouldn't go that far. The best werewolf movie yes definitely but the best werewolf no way ! Lol
That doesn't look anything like Kessler Wolf from AWIL, lol.
THAT WAS EXELLENT!!! GREAT STORY LINE AND CHARACTER SYNOPSIS!! GREAT WEREWOLF!!! NEED MORE!!! OH I HOPE THAT YOU MAKE THIS INTO A FULL LENGTH MOVIE.
That howl at the end was eerie!
Okay. So the doctor was the werewolf, and his patient was really himself, and he was having flashbacks. I get it! The patient was his wolf side.
Alona Argent : awwww....the good looking doctor is a stinky butt werewolf
Wolf... i think Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfiffer. Similar.
Kelly Xiong shut up, werewolves are cool, unlike you
