When is the best time to install sod grass in Texas?

zoysiasod.com Zoysia Grass can be installed almost all year round but if you install it during the normal growing season the grass will root in fast and the squares will grow together great.
The biggest misconception is that you cannot install new sod during the summertime, and if you think about it, the grass is growing fast and the sod will root in and the squares will grow together beautifully.
We do recommend you have an irrigation system to allow you to water it on a regular basis to help the root in process, but other than that I would not be shy about installing sod during July August time frame.

Won't your grass burn if you water it in the middle of the day. I'm in Houston.
