Really enjoyed your reaction. I’d love to see your reaction to more Ren - Chalk Outlines live, Seven Sins, Power, to name a few. May is M.E. and Lyme awareness month. Leading up to the release of Troubles, Ren told his story in 8 chapters with the purpose of bringing awareness to how millions are suffering and to let them know they aren’t alone and there is hope. Those are posted on his serving channel RenMakesStuff. Everyone should check rose out.

I noticed the "Lord, I forgive you" line does tend to trip some people up. Especially those with a religious background, which I completely understand. The idea is that the Lord forgives you so the idea of someone forgiving the lord may seem arrogant. But I think it's important to put yourself in the shoes of someone who was suffering so much for so long, often times just wanting to let his illness kill him. Ren explored many different faiths which is also why I think the plural in "Hard to have faith when the GODS don't listen" is also incredibly significant. It felt like he went to every god of every faith desperately looking for answers and relief and got nothing. I know some people who are religious and have faith might find it easier to keep putting faith in their higher power but that's not easy when you aren't very religious to begin with which Ren is not. It seems like no higher power is listening when you're begging for relief and that can create feelings anger and resentment. Another of his songs Seven Sins includes the lyrics "I cursed the gods. Cursed my messiah. Cursed my maker. I cursed all of creation". So for Ren to say "Lord, I forgive you" is significant in his healing process emotionally. He's found a purpose. In music. In spreading awareness. In being a beacon of hope. So he's able to let go of that anger from feeling ignored by any and all higher powers.

      Very well said…
Ren Identified himself as agnostic in his Eden release. Imo he’s not a fan of organized religion, but definitely spiritually influenced on many levels!
Regardless, bless his precious heart for using his story and talents to encourage, support and love others!

If you enjoyed the beat as much as I did, you should know it's all Ren🔥. This sample he used is by Vera Hall, Trouble So Hard 1930. Ren mixed & produced track from top to bottom. The last time I heard someone use this sample was in 1999, produced by Moby on his Natural Blues Album. Cheers ✌

He's not cured, far from it. He's still in Canada getting treatment, IVs meds, etc.. if you read the description from this video, you see it was done to spread awareness and attention for those invisible illnesses that need more funding and research.

With great power comes great responsibility, and Ren is truly a hero! He is using his growing powers and platform for so much more than simply creating brilliant music. Ren has said that he always had this feeling that he was meant to change the world for the better. So much that he defiantly yelled a challenge to evil into an empty room. And then he got sick…
Ren has now shared the full story of his health journey in 8 video chapters leading up to the release of this song and what a journey it has been. If anyone hasn’t already watched them, I highly recommend you do. With all the chapters he is showing immense strength in sharing his story that is so hard to tell, being vulnerable and telling it because he hopes it will help others and raise awareness. And here he is with another rendition of that story, now told through music with a fire beat and delivering a message of hope. A beautiful hero that the world needs ❤️🐰🕳️

    REN- TROUBLES
    [Intro: Vera Hall]
    Ooh Lordy, troubles so hard
    Repeating
    [Verse]
I don't reach into the past very much
For these shards of shattered glass and harsh paper cuts
Leave me stuck when I reach in memories are seeped in hydrochloric acid
I go to war and get passive and freeze up
But music helped the ice to thaw
Put a chisel in the middle swing the hammer of Thor
Pull it out of the impossible, excalibur sword
Etching note pads full of reasons why my feelings arе sore
The first day that I got sick ejеcted from cockpit of living
Nineteen, young teen, waking up bitten
Posters up, manhunt, Ren went missing
Hard to have faith when the gods don't listen
The first year maybe was the hardest
Waking in a body that was buried like a carcass
Brain in the lions den, body in a shark pit
Waking up in pain again, aching, brokenhearted
Persistent little bugger I was bouncing from a doctor
To a doctor to a doctor like a table tennis game that has no end
So be the fate of Ren
Every single question answered with a question on the end
The second year I came to terms with giving up my dreams
Mind was severed from the means that helped me write these rhyme schemes
Brain was inflamed. the fatigue was crushing
Hard to remain sane with your brain combusting
And the third year was murder, living in a purga-
Tory full of worry, wouldn't live to be thirty
Lifestyle hurt me, always in my bed tomb
Re-arrange the alphabet and all the letters spell "doom"
Light hurt my eyes, popping pills to survive
When you're twenty-three and mentally you steadily decline
Twenty-four I was poor, disability benefits
What's the benefit of disability? It's irrelevant
Twenty-five and the scars that were etched, they cracked
Elastic bands only stretch so far and then snap
Deep in psychosis, hallucinations, troubled vision
Visits from the underworld were conjuring my superstition
Twenty-five, living back at home with my mum
But not because I'm a bum, alone and physically done
So thin, so frail, so weak I'd become
And my skin so pale, never kissed by the Sun
One time I carved a whole in my chest, just to feel
I wish that was a metaphor, the struggle was real
When you're living in a holocaust you buckle and kneel
There's relief in the teeth of the kiss of cold steel
Facts, twenty-six I'm highly medicated and the pain sophisticated
While I'm laying broke and naked on my back
I brought my microphone into my coffin, started droppin'
Raw thoughts with the grim reaper knocking on the track
    Then man, lo and behold
I heard an angel beckon on this treacherous road
Was a stem cell doctor with a generous glow
And a cell transplant brought me out of the cold
And my skin got younger and my body got stronger
And my stomach felt hunger for a door that was closed
And my soul heard music for the first time
Beauty was a word I'd use for this gift of gold
Oh Lord, I forgive you, Lord I forgive you
Lord, I forgive you, make me whole
This music I give you, pain that I live through
Everything I've been through is yours to hold

  • @sylv772
    @sylv772 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

The stem cell doctor did the transplant ($25,000) for him for free - hence, the "generous glow". Ren tried everything before then (a "persistent little bugger"). I suspect you might like other songs of his. Some very moving ones in his catalogue.

Dude... you NEED to watch his "Chapters" to educate yourself and no need to do reactions to them... you have no idea who Ren is right now!... his story will blow your mind!
Then you will want to dive deep into the rabbit hole and hear his extensive catalogue...
He is one of those rare artists who can be considered to be 'once in a generation' or 'once in a lifetime ' ...
I'm 61 years old and never before have I heard anyone like him!!
Seriously dude, you'll be doing yourself a favour!
Also, there's no need to worry about copyright issues with him, he appreciates the reaction community for everything they have done for him!

You're one of many I know using anima foodsl /carnivore to heal your body. I find carnivore had saved me from many intolerance that hurt my body. Ren has given many people encouragement to make their lives better. At 70, I've lived through an amazing musical journey and Ren has brought the latest joy in his music. There's a lot to hear in his catalogue, even before the past year, when he has released some amazing music..

Yes we do have to keep trying, but at the same time, we need healthy allies who fight for us for better care and research funding. Check ME action and #MillionsMissing to gain knowledge and find people who can let you know how you can help. For example, we are fighting so hard for the care of #saveCarlasLife and #BringMillieHome. NHS doctors are refusing to care for them conform NICE guidelines and these young women are suffering
