Did you have to remove a snap ring/circlip? I know when I did the driver side I had to remove one which was a pain.

What would it cost me for a dealer to do this work?

A cv axle at dealer sells for $1200 dollars roughly, labor rate depends by dealer probably $290 a hour , I'd expect 2000+ parts and labor
