You, sir, win the Comments Section... 🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹👍 -- I give you 5 Arrows out of 5 for your comment! 🔥🤘😎🤘🔥 Now I want to see this reactor react to Time Stands Still, lol.
I’ve found that those of us who are vocalists and/or musicians just appreciate what people can do with their instruments, regardless of genre. :) I love hard rock and metal, but grew up singing classical music, show tunes, and hymns in choir, lol. People still sometimes don’t know what to do about my variety of musical tastes.
If you are starting to like Brittany’s voice, check out their cover of “Northwest Passage”. It’s a very popular Canadian folk song, and it does a great job in showcasing Brittany’s voice (both in a screaming/belting way and in a more mellow/controlled way). There are even a cappella parts that really let you listen to her!
I've been watching your reactions for almost a year.. Ever since I 'discovered' Nightwish and went down that creative rabbit hole that lead me to discover a whole wealth of simply beautiful stunning music and musical genres that at 52 years of age I've shamefully only now discovered and which in turn lead me to find young passionate charming and expertly informed young talents like yourself able to express and educate even old goons and geeks like me just how they do it and what makes them all so special. Thank you. Oh and I'm especially looking forward to this one. After the Finnish symphonic rockers this Canadian band has become a close 2nd favourite new band and this one is one of their best.. Can't wait for your analysis

You’ve already reacted to so many of my favourites and I get to re experience listening to phenomenal songs for the very first time every new video (and share with me music new amazing music). Big fan all in all. I tried looking up a reaction for *Pearl Jam - Black* but couldn’t find one from you. Would love to see it someday. THANKS!!
I’ve read that Brittney has a choir/classical vocal background, and when the band started she made the decision to sing in a more classic 80s metal singer style, as opposed to the more common “female opera singer in a metal band” thing that is popular. This decision has made the diversity of sounds and textures in UtA’s music so great, and made them my favourite band ever, since they have all the things I like in music.
This hits the nail on the head for why I really like them too. I've been trying to find female-led metal bands to get into and Unleash the Archers is the only one that hits it completely out of the ballpark. Other bands either sound like they just threw an opera singer into the studio (dozens of examples), instrumental complexity doesn't quite do it for my tastes (Semblant), or overall sound is too poppy (Amaranthe). This isn't hate on any of those bands, I enjoy listening to them all (Semblant comes the closest to hitting everything I'm looking for). But UtA just crushes it.
I'm new to your channel, having found it through your reaction to the AWESOME PMJ White Stripes ... I absolutely LOVE that you have such joy for all music, no matter what kind. You tag your videos with 'Opera Singer' but your absolute JOY at every awesome note in any song you do is just so amazing and makes me giddy to just watch!! Not to mention the great insider knowledge of the technical side that tickles my brain into -- I love it!
I figure that as a Canadian, he spent years in Junior hockey and can do just about anything in shoulder pads. This was filmed at the end of Burning Man. Really enjoy this song.

Got so excited when I saw this scheduled! Your reaction to "Awakening" was how I discovered UtA, so a huge thanks to you! Now I can't get enough of their content!
I offer another gentle request to react to Wintersun's song, "Sons of Winter and Stars." Not only is the song itself fantastic and a metal masterpiece, but it features very impressive vocals by the band's composer Jari Mäenpää. His vocals are even more impressive considering he's missing a quarter of one of his lungs due to a battle with tuberculosis earlier in his life. I also love his vocals because he never sings without the deep emotions that are tied to the lyrics he wrote. Jari's music is not only epic, but extremely emotional. Please, please, _please_ react to "Sons of Winter and Stars!"
I would've suggested "Cleanse the Bloodlines" as the next Unleash the Archers song reaction. Amazing high register vocals that required crazy breath control.

There's also their cover of Queensryche's Queen of the Reich, specifically the karaoke vid since Brittney's doing that after a concert and still absolutely kills it. And for a "What can't she do?" experience there's her performing Brindisi on Lords of the Trident's channel.
@@antoniomaraspin Let me be clear, both songs shows her insane vocals. But Test your Metal shows her endurance and stamina in addition to the range...that song is like a devastating workout, vocally speaking.
She was a metal fan waiting to happen :) Also, I love the Cartoonish Disney Princess just getting all giddy with very metal things like spiked shoulder pads and horned Viking horns and people just shredding the frak out of their instruments!
My only guess is that, as an opera singer, perhaps she felt that culture didn't "allow" it. However, Elizabeth may have just told herself "To heck with that" and decided to branch out on her own. And now she is #spoiledbymetal - as it should be. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I see "Cleanse The Bloodlines" being suggested a lot in the comments, and I wholeheartedly agree. It's a real epic song with a great video, lots of technically awesome stuff and loaded with emotion and passion from all members. I hoped you'd react to "Tonight We Ride " after the first one by the band, this was a great watch. :D
@@CosmicKristen I 1000% agree! I've been saying that exact same thing!! Just imagine how awesome that concert would be! ...,Especially if Bruce invited Brittney to come out & sing with him on one of their Iron Maiden songs! Imagine that...

This is the only voice coach that I subscribe to because she actually looks like she is fully invested in the music and actually enjoying it. So many of these go into it with a sort of, sterile room, scientific feel. I like seeing people actually enjoy music, and discovering new songs/bands. Thank you for helping me to enjoy bands I love even more.

I've watched a lot of your videos over the last few days, and I adore how you geek out over so many things aside from vocals. Your nerd enthusiasm is contagious. You've earned yourself a sub.
Another Canadian band worth checking out is Spiritbox. Courtney has done a few live one take performances. Rule of Nines is a good one to start with. If you are willing to take on a longer video, The Mara Effect live at Silverside Sound really shows her range.
Spiritbox are amazing. I love all their stuff, but Rule of Nines and Blessed Be in particular. They're from Vancouver Island, as are Unleash the Archers
Their recent 3 part virtual concert they did for Sirius XM Liquid Metal would be a good place to start as well. Each part is 2 songs, and they are of amazing sonic quality plus you get to see the entire band. The Mara Effect at Silverside is amazing too.
Constance is amazing, but it only shows part of Courtney's talent!. Similarly, I agree, Holly Roller is perhaps not where to start! Holly Roller wasn't my favourite tune, but it is growing on me, especially now they released the drum play through.
I've heard this one live and I'm honestly surprised that Brittney didn't melt our faces off. She's so clean on those high belts and she never sounds tired. Bringing in the vibrato at the end is classic for power metal.
Lol, I love when Elizabeth was talking about the growls at the end and calling them big video game monsters and little video game monsters, she couldn't find her words for a moment, and THAT'S a genuine compliment to UTA. I adore this woman lol. Oh yeah, I love UTA too lol
This brought me to tears and I’m a grown man. I had the pleasure of discovering UTH on a cruise and I got to hang out and play black jack with the band. They are as cool as they are good.
For those of us who are fans of UTA and Brittney....and YOU........THANK YOU for this reaction! Seeing your excitement and joy!! We trust your opinion and this was so great lol.
Well, I was just blown away by Spiritbox - Blessed be (live on Sirius XM). You should definitely check that out soon! On another note excited for this reaction. Great song!
“General of the Dark Army” has a great mix of her amazing cleans and the growling as well; also it’s my personal favorite song from them 😁. Plus, the music video inspired my D&D character in my groups evil campaign lol
This song is the best metal stuff I`ve ever heard and seen and I am a metal-fan for about 35 years. I know this band now for about a week and I am still busy to explore them. While listening to "Awakening" another analyst said "That`s orgasmic" and I`m totally with her. That`s probably the best description. Brittney Slayes, you said your inspirations where Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford and Geoff Tate I think. You are on the same level or even better. Your vocals are out of this world !!! You are just stunning !!!
This is my first time hearing them. OMG!! She’s like a combination of Bruce Dickinson and Geoff Tate! The band itself is like a modern version of Manowar. They’re being added to my playlist.
@@kirbys1370 Wow... Brittany’s sound and some of the orchestration in that song remind me of parts of Beast and the Harlot by A7X. This group is amazing!
I am SO happy that you've gotten back to them and SO SO SO happy that you picked this song. This was the first one I ever heard from them and I have been obsessed ever since. The growls are ALWAYS done by Grant Truesdell. Miss Britney doesn't do growls. If you like the costumes, cars, and overall aesthetic then you should attend "Wasteland Weekend" in Southern California. Load up an RV and go camp out. (Bring your bottlecaps) For an event like that the real fun is putting together your outfit yourself. Just go to an Army surplus store and try to come up with a character you want to portray and think about what pieces could work for that. (Scrapyards are also good places to look for items) Miss Britney is a belter for sure. She said if he hadn't discovered Metal then she would have gone into Opera, like yourself. Recommendations Unleash the Archers "Time stands still" "Test your metal" ....and you HAVE to check out the duet Britney Slayes did of "Brindisi". It is honestly the most magical thing ever. Just scroll two minutes in to check out the song without all the stories and banter. Nightwish "I want my tears back" The Hu "Song of women" "Yuve yuve yu" The Rambling Sailors "Sailor's Prayer" Laboratorium Piesni "U lisi" Stoj pa moru" "Izgrela mi" "Kappee" The Pirates Charles "Kyl'grath'ya" "The star spangled banner" "Rowman's row" The Longest Johns "The Wellerman" Exit Eden "Impossible" "Thunderstruck" Once Human "Gravity" Thundermother "It's just a tease" Christmas Metal Songs "Joy to the world" and "Canon Rock" both by Orion's Reign featuring Minniva
Grant is "that guy" - great growl vocals! Got to talk to him a while before a show and also a super nice guy too. :) Amazing that Brittany can pull it off through an entire concert set (saw them twice). BTW - "blast beats" are typically faster than I think you believe them to be, and are mostly in death metal. Here's a video that demonstrates (sorry for some language in it): th-cam.com/video/B4KNXi-SWWc/w-d-xo.html

Would love to see you react to Metal Opera Battles #4 with Brittney. It really highlights what an amazing voice she has and looks like they had so much fun doing it.
I never describe myself as a metal fan, but then bands like this happen. 😊. My brain always goes back to the first time I ever heard a female lead metal band - Lacuna Coil. That would be another nifty band to see her react to.

There's also their cover of Queensryche's Queen of the Reich, specifically the karaoke vid since Brittney's doing that after a concert and still absolutely kills it. And for a "What can't she do?" experience there's her performing Brindisi on Lords of the Trident's channel.
I'll say it again: listen to "Test Your Metal", vocals in that are insane.
Yes :)
I disagree: her voice is "more" incredible here.
Seconded.
@@antoniomaraspin I think the songs are both really great :)
@@antoniomaraspin Let me be clear, both songs shows her insane vocals. But Test your Metal shows her endurance and stamina in addition to the range...that song is like a devastating workout, vocally speaking.
Ogre & goblin. Opera. Cosplay.
She's played D&D.
How has she NOT listened to a lot of metal before this?
She was a metal fan waiting to happen :) Also, I love the Cartoonish Disney Princess just getting all giddy with very metal things like spiked shoulder pads and horned Viking horns and people just shredding the frak out of their instruments!
@@lgmhorus agreed, absolute metal joyfulness 😂
@@kirbys1370 I meant before the channel
I get confused whenever I run into someone that plays D&D and doesn’t like metal.
My only guess is that, as an opera singer, perhaps she felt that culture didn't "allow" it. However, Elizabeth may have just told herself "To heck with that" and decided to branch out on her own.
And now she is #spoiledbymetal - as it should be. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I'm so glad you found it! Literally everything they come out with is phenomenal.
I was SO HAPPY to see your reaction to this one, and I'll add my voice to the call for 'Cleanse the Bloodlines'.
Bruce: I'm going to have to retire someday. Who will take up the mantle?
Brittney: Don't worry, I've got you covered....
I’ve been saying for a while now Maiden’s tour manager needs to have UTA open for Maiden.
@@CosmicKristen I 1000% agree! I've been saying that exact same thing!! Just imagine how awesome that concert would be! ...,Especially if Bruce invited Brittney to come out & sing with him on one of their Iron Maiden songs! Imagine that...
@@xy9891 yes! That would be an amazing duet. Brittney and Stu from Iced Earth were talking about a collab but idk if that’ll happen with the press surrounding them now. I would love to see Britt and Bruce though. I feel like UTA would be very well received by that crowd.
@@xy9891 oh dear, I'd love to hear her take on Hallowed be thy Name. That or Painkiller by Judas Priest.
Okay first of all, Bruce will never retire, nor will he die. this is blasphemy.
there is no second.
What I love about your videos is the absolute pure joy that exudes from your facial expressions.
Finally! I told you about a song that she covered in a karaoke bar, after a concert... Is amazing, you should watch it!!
Finally someone did a reaction to one of the best UTA songs ever. Thank you, it was great to see you enjoy it so much. :)
Also, if you love their costumes, theatricality, and soaring chorus, I recommend their music video for "Cleanse the Bloodlines"!
Elizabeth just seems so classy. Love her.
Elizabeth, I am so glad I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago. You are such a nerd and I love you so much for it.... your channel has become my after work wind down go to. I absolutely love your reactions to the music and videos. Your breakdowns of the videos and music have already taught me a lot that I didn't know or think of... It also blows me away with your enthusiasm with the style of music I love... PLEASE keep the videos coming.... and thank you for what you do... P.S. I have your chair.... I to am a nerd and spend a lot of time gaming... excellent chair for the long grinds and dungeons.
This is an awesome song. Looking forward to this one.
Also Constance and Holy Roller. Great band, btw
Constance
Did a bit of research and dug this up: “The video was filmed in the Nevada desert, using props from the Death Guild Thunderdome camp at Burning Man.”
This is awesome, I've been in that Thunderdome! :D Thanks for sharing the research.
I was waiting so long for you to get back to UTA!! Yeah...Love your channel. I don't often comment but I watch nearly every one of your reactions!
For those of us who are fans of UTA and Brittney....and YOU........THANK YOU for this reaction! Seeing your excitement and joy!! We trust your opinion and this was so great lol.
@@kirbys1370 AWESOME! Can't wait to see that! Thanks for the info
Can't believe I missed this reaction!!! UTA 🔥
Well, I was just blown away by Spiritbox - Blessed be (live on Sirius XM). You should definitely check that out soon! On another note excited for this reaction. Great song!
I have been watching your videos for a while now, but i just wanted to say i love the positive vibes from your videos and your reactions to the songs.
Man I love Unleash the Archers and Mad Max. I didn’t realize this song was a homage to Mad Max.
This is my first time listening to this band. I'm a new fan. Love her voice because it's so powerful.❤️🤩
“General of the Dark Army” has a great mix of her amazing cleans and the growling as well; also it’s my personal favorite song from them 😁. Plus, the music video inspired my D&D character in my groups evil campaign lol
That's the first sing I heard from them and instantly felt in love with the begining of the vocals
Best album they did for me, although her vocals are arguably her best now
Love, love, love your work, dear. This video was a absolutely great moment for my day.
Epica - Rivers! It’s a new song and you need to hear more of Simone Simons. Her voice is so pretty.
I keep suggesting Cry for the Moon, but never get enough upvotes to be noticed. =(
Epica - Tides of Time also, but There are so many live versions... hard to chose one...
"Maybe the first one was like a big video game monster and the second one was like a small video game monster..." 😍😍😍😍
Check out Brittney Slayes singing opera, it’s great
I did this and was NOT disappointed
This song is the best metal stuff I`ve ever heard and seen and I am a metal-fan for about 35 years. I know this band now for about a week and I am still busy to explore them. While listening to "Awakening" another analyst said "That`s orgasmic" and I`m totally with her. That`s probably the best description. Brittney Slayes, you said your inspirations where Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford and Geoff Tate I think.
You are on the same level or even better. Your vocals are out of this world !!! You are just stunning !!!
Hell yeah, check out Tied to a Stag.... As old metalheads it really touches the nostalgia buttons
Got a new band to listen to
All the elements you speak off make me love this band.
(Bring your bottlecaps)
For an event like that the real fun is putting together your outfit yourself. Just go to an Army surplus store and try to come up with a character you want to portray and think about what pieces could work for that. (Scrapyards are also good places to look for items)
Miss Britney is a belter for sure. She said if he hadn't discovered Metal then she would have gone into Opera, like yourself.

Yeah, when she said that I was like, "Blast beats? I didn't hear any Blast beats!"
Elizabeth, I’m really loving your videos. I’ve never seen such an expressive person. You seem to listen to music with your whole body. And your comments really help me appreciate and hear what you are in a new way. Your passion for music is infectious. And that’s what music should do, invoke passion and emotion and enjoyment.
She just got slayed by Brittney! \m/ now you know why they call her Slayes.
It's always so much fun watching your reactions. I love that you pointed out how annoying costumes can be at times and doing the video with them had to be both fun and frustrating the whole time.
I love your reactions. And your knowledge on what the vocals
Brittney's voice is an absolute WEAPON!
Weaponized AWESOME
As a long time metal fan, I love your appreciation for the genera as an opera singer and truly enjoy watching your reactions.
So glad that you reacted to UtA again.. and loved how you reacted .. You should check out her singing brindisi with the dude from Lords of the trident.. you will be amazed again :) .. tc n be safe
I finally figured out what is so wonderful with watching you.
It's the fact that when you are in this state, there is no filter between your expression and your emotions.
You 100% Unfiltered is wonderful!
YES! I was hoping you'd get back to UtA! Reminders on!
