This is the best Chicken Kali Mirch in white gravy you will ever eat. Also known as Murgh kali mirch, is a curry simmered with lots of black pepper in a yogurt gravy that's creamy, silky and luxurious.
Inviting and irresistible, it is a simple white coloured chicken curry where the base of curry is prepared using curd, which is flavoured with lots of black pepper. Something very different to the traditional chicken curries that we usually make.
This is one of my new favourite dishes - Murgh Kali Mirch which is Perfect for Ramadan, Parties, Eid, Diwali, and much more.

Ingredients:
One whole chicken (1.2kg) on the bone, skin off and cut into medium peices
1 large onion finely sliced, 300g
150g greek yoghurt
Ingredients for the meat matination:
2 teaspoon each of salt & coarsely ground black pepper
juice of one lemon (approx 4 tablespoon)
Masala Ingredients:
2 inch peice of ginger peeled & roughly chopped - 33g
8/9 garlic cloves - 33g
6 green chillies chopped in halved
20 cashew nuts
1/2 tablespoon dried fenugreek leaves
1 teaspoon garam masala & salt
2 teaspoons of coarse black pepper
oil
water

Salaam sis I love all ur recipes and I am trying them qt the weekend.by far this was amazing. I do wish though I used chicken on bone instead of boneless as this was all I had.but still amazing.will try again with chicken on bone.

Shamza, my 2 inch piece of ginger weigh's 12 grams. 33 seems a lot.
Dave, my ginger was more on the healthier side than yours. I actually even took a picture of it on my weighing scale with the measuring tape next to it 😳 😅 just make up the 33g by adding more!

You can leave them out of you wish but it won't be as creamy as shown.
