People don't seem to know that the last card, Esoterica "Nine Character Pierce" is a card you pretty much can't whiff, you basically go into Typhoon mode, your opponent can try to hit you but it won't do jack shit to stop the card from activating, you do take damage, but if you can stand in a corner, send your opponent flying away and activate this, you can't possibly whiff it, the opponent would also have to carefully consider what they do because they will get stun locked by the spellcard if they try to go all in and hit you. Due to how the card places its beams, its pretty much impossible to avoid when you go all in.
After activation they won't go away EVEN IF A ROUND ENDED as long as A: They haven't been touched, B: A quite good amount of time hasn't passed yet, which, the time is quite long, so you can truly abuse it.
You can actually activate this thing on the end of round 1 and go into round 2 with this whole BS on board still, its one of the only things that lasts between rounds, careful planning can net you an easy guaranteed guard crush on the next round at the beginning, along with some extra damage from the Spellcard.
You can always grab her out but who the fuck uses grab in hisotensoku

Not all characters even have Grab, and they aren't even always good

The startup for Sanae's last card makes me lol
It’s a bummer so many of Spellcards suck. They either don’t have good range, startup, or damage.
Well if anything Esoterica "9 character Pierce" is like a guaranteed guard crush, and Miracle "Night of the Supernova Storm" is fairly easy to combo into and deals very good damage.
The best part is you pretty much can't whiff 9 Character Pierce, making it actually one of the best spellcards in the game.
The downside is most of her other cards aren't very useful.
It is however, hella fun, tho not viable, to upgrade her luck bomb, and try to only use that against your opponent, also, the spellcard version does throw the upgraded ones, it can deal a lot of damage, at best like 4k damage.
Viable? No. Is it fun? Hell yeah.

All I’m gonna say is that sanae is a decent character in 12.3

Sanae’s play style is incredibly difficult to work with. It’s heavily reliant on baiting and staggers, and has far too many counter-intuitive mechanics. If you’re good at baiting and staggering, then she’s a good fit for you. If not, you’d be better off playing someone else.
Pretty sure the "Mid-day Supernova" is a mistranslation and it's supposed to be "Midday Comet"
Yeah I checked and it's called "Mid-Day Guest Star", which is apparently what ancient Chinese astronomers called comets
