I’m 81 and listened to the music from an earlier time but I sure remember the songs of the Cowsill’s and the others. Those were songs you could relate to and love.
Great fun watching this. Great to see so many happy comments. Being part of the tour for the last four years I can tell you that we truly are all, Happy Together!
Bob Cowsill's voice is genuinely astonishing. So glad to see him still doing what he does so well.
No Howard no turtles...smh
He used to perform in a bar every week in Woodland Hills, California called the Pickwick Pub. It became the hip thing to do-- go watch him play and the place was always packed with huge overcrowding of young people standing shoulder to shoulder throughout-- you couldn't move. A fire marshall's nightmare. He had a huge fishbowl for tip jar and passed it around. People put money in for every song he sang. People would yell out requests and he would play whatever was screamed the loudest... I have no idea how he knew how to play each song he heard and play it and sing it well? How did he know all the lyrics? People would always scream for him to play American Pie, but he'd refuse unless somebody put in a $20! The world has changed and doesn't seem quite as fun.
Great song!!!
Thank you!!! Read my mind!!!
@@bhbecca why would he sing American pie?
When you are eternally young inside, age is but a number. Just look at how these “young kids” of just a few years ago are still moving and jumping around bringing the magic of their music to us and taking us with them to a younger day. This concert was so much fun. You did a wonderful job of recording it. Many thanks❤️🤍💙👍🏼🙏
Just think of all us 70 years old musicians that are not famous still out there doing two 3 hour shows every week.
❤❤❤
My son tells his friends, that I don't think I'm old, 69 in October, but my mind thinks this music just wasn't that long ago. Based on how well these bands sound, maybe it's not. Don't ever say "In my day", because it still is our day, as long as the heart keeps on beating. We lived through the greatest era of music ever!!
@@user-sj1ix9xc7q I hope you can continue doing what you love for a long time!
@@mudwater9140 You really said it. K. In my 60s. We had the greatest history in music ever. And its a little tougher for me to get around. But this music takes me back. Their fantastic, so are you. In my heart im still decades behind. And thats a good thing 😊. They are doing a show in Arlington ma. In Oct 23. Hoping to be able to get a kid or grandkid to take me. I still love concerts!!forever young at heart!❤ I love their youthful attitude. Inspiring. ❤🎹🎶🎸🎼☮️📻✌️
Let’s not forget the great musicianship of the guys in the backing band 👍🏻👍🏻
An amazing band to a one !
Bass player tears it up in love American style
Incredible drumming! Perfect and rocks it up without OVER-rocking.
Amazingly talented lead guitar player Godfrey Townsend!
I’m am so lucky to have grown up in this era. Best music, best tv shows and best movies. The world sucks now.
I feel the same way. I lived the 6+0s and remember it.
Ditto
Triple ditto
Best Commercials
Best Everything!
Bob Cowsill - 73, Gary Puckett - 80, Little Anthony - 82. All in amazing voice that night.
❤❤❤
They kept singing with good vocal technique.
They sound amazing!!
And that's the difference between these tremendously talented performers and the so-called " superstars" of today, who can never "hold a candle" to each and every one of them! The memories each of these acts evokes, for a particular generation, with their iconic hit songs can never be replicated.
Not Puckett. Sorry to say, but he needs to stay home.
I never get tired of hearing The Cowsills! You guys sound great!!! Everyone did a great job! Loved it!
This is feel good music.
Yes, you are right! @@Nigel2Zoom
I never tire of these Golden oldies.
This has to be the greatest live performance ever! This family hasn't skipped a beat the last 50 years! They still sound the same as they did when they were youngsters!!... Bravo! And two thumbs up! 👍👍
I'm from Newport and still a fan 😅
Adding Little Anthony to the tour was a brilliant move. The guy is all class.
Rest in Peace Barry and Bill Cowsill.
They still "have it". Susan (64), Paul (72) and Bob (74) are still has vibrant and youthful as ever. Thanks for the upload.
Are you telling me the lady (Susan) is 64 years old here?? OMG I thought they had a young niece or someone filling in for her😃😃 I am 62 and now feel 80 lol (and btw my name is Susan too🙃)
They are ALL extremely fit👍👍👍🤗
I feel very grateful to this audience for giving these folks the respect and response they deserve
Yes, I thought of that before. Giving respect...
.
❤❤
Saw the Tour in Illinois, a once in a lifetime treat❤
@georgegarbutt8853 I would love to see them in concert. BTW, I'm a Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath fan who loves The Cowsills.
Happy memories to when i was young, carefree, dreamer, teen ager, no problems . I wish im young again❤
Saw this concert in New Buffalo, Michigan, this summer. Not only knew all the words, but I kept wiping tears from my eyes. It took me back to a simpler time and place. Was blessed to grow up in an age of innocense.
I agree.
Ohhh, the ClassicIV haven't lost anything. They sound exactly the same as they did in the 60s. Awesome !!!!
Never wanted this to end!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Flower Girl always made me tear up a little & still does. Well done !
You DO know that's not the name of the song?
The song's name is "The Rain, the Park, and other things." I'm wondering why they didn't title it "The Flower Girl." I have no doubt that record stores all across the country had to tell this to people who came in asking for the song "the Flower Girl."
I teared up too, like you! Loves lost back then which should not have been - many regrets, recollected in tranquility.
@@maryk446 It was, in fact, originally called "The Flower Girl." An MGM executive made them change the title, fearing that listeners would confuse it with another hit of the time, Scott McKenzie's "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)."
I've been in love with Susan Cowsill for 50 years, she's still just as beautiful as when I first saw her. So glad that they are still performing with the same youthful energy.
Singing makes a person younger. That group is still great.
I wish I could have heard more from Gary Puckett. Great singer.
It was sad though seeing Mark Volman of The Turtles. I saw his hand shaking as he held the microphone. I just read that in June 2023, he was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. Prayers to Mark Volman🙏
❤❤❤
Puckett did indeed have a good voice. But his songs were cringeworty even by 60's standards.
Puckett did indeed have a good voice. But his songs were cringeworty even by 60's standards.
Over the top and overflowing. My wife and I are celebrating our 43rd anniversary today. I seached for Happy Together by The Turtles and clicked on this instead. Karen immediately remembered The Cowsills. Hey, I'll be 70 on Sunday and totally agree that it's just number. Psalm 91 and 103. John 10:10
I could listen to this song 100 times in a row, and then 100 times more. One of the most beautiful, inspired tunes in music history. The fact the Cowsills are still rocking it live in 2023 is proof of a beneficent God.
❤❤❤
"Hair" Amazing song. Sax player kicked ass on "Stormy." Loved all of the performances!!!
I was born In 1984 I love the 50s 60s and 80s
I saw this show in Minneapolis. It was just a totally fun evening. No politics, no social issues, no divisiveness--just fun music and a great time.
I missed them by a few days. When I attended that fair,Duran Duran was the headliner......Uh NO!
I was there for this show. Excellent! And I'm going to this summer's show too!
Those of us from back in the day had the music EVER!! AND will last FOREVER! Thanks Cowsills for keeping the memories alive!!! The Vogues!! Awesome!
Absolutely love the Cowsills! Thanks so much for posting!!!
❤❤
They are simply amazing and just ageless! They've brought so much happiness, and pure joy, to so many over these many decades, and one can't help but smile, sometimes through nostalgic tears, at the wonderfully sweet memories they evoke every time they perform these iconic, incomparable hits. I'm so hoping that John, if the Beach Boys will allow him, to someday join them for a couple of shows. I was just crazy for both him, and Barry (who is truly missed), as a young teen back in the day. Can we please get these guys into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame already?!!
Did you know that there are 4 other groups performing on this post, or did you just watch the first 3 mins?
They sound amazing, haven't lost a thing. Wish more family members had stayed alive.
❤❤
The best music on the planet pre English Revolution music British Invasion!
These are the ones who took care of themselves.
Cowsills still killing it… Bravo, bravo bravo
I attended the concert on August 3rd in Rochester NY and all I can say is that I am so happy to have lived in the 60’s. What a great night of some great music, Little Anthony at 82 was great. My thoughts go out to Mark Volman of the Turtles. Hope he will get better. Hope to see the Happy Together Tour next year.
❤❤❤
Are u Redy fore next year we got the association cowsills jay and the Americans a member of badfinger the turtles and the
Gary Puckett's vocal genius opened the door for guys like: Steve Perry; Jon Anderson; Geddy Lee; Art Garfunkel; etc. and literally changed rock!
Oh I was there. Pure joy. So happy you put this up as I had missed the Cowsils’ performance. What a voice Little Anthony still has.
COOL !!! Tonight July 29 Wallingdord, CT. My wife 59 / And I 56 will be here/there
@@BRUTUSPLAC❤
You missed the best part of the show. Glad you got to see it.
I had a parakeet that no body wanted because it had a damaged leg. I was in the second grade. When I brought it home this song was playing on the car radio. So I named the bird HAPPY! It was the best time to be alive! They still sound just as good today as back then. Funny how one song can take you back so quickly to a simpler time. I feel sorry for kids today. Their music is so angry and sad compared to my generation. Guess you can't miss what you never had, but I appreciate those family bands! Makes me smile so much I just feel it deep inside! 😁
I'm grateful I'm not the only old timer on here who likes the Cowsills they still sound great
@622kck The Partridge Family Was supposed to be these guys. They said no, If their mom Couldn't be their mom on the show they would pass. I guess Shirley was the whole reason for the show.
So refreshing to see these old timers going out there and doing it for real unlike so many other performers of their age group. They sound fantastic
I'm a 70 year old working musician. What is an " old timer" Never heard the term.
@@user-sj1ix9xc7q❤❤❤
OMG Little Anthoney has me in tears! BLESS him he can still sing this!!!
Born in 66', but "The Rain, the Park and Other Things" is probably one of the earliest songs I remember as a child. Ah man...outstanding performers! ❤
❤❤❤
I don't know if this song qualifies as California "Sunshine Pop," but my two older sisters played all these singles nonstop from '64 to '69-- "Lazy Day, Georgy Girl, Pretty Ballerina, Windy, Aquarius, Stone Soul Picnic, Sugar, Sugar, 98.6, I Saw Her Again," etc. My sisters' rabid obsession with British Invasion bands and their record parties with their friends was a huge influence on me growing up;.
❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing that great memory from your childhood😊🎉
Quite a list
Yes! Yes ! And yes !
That backing band is beyond great , they never missed a beat ! I'd say everyone got their moneys worth , BRAVO
The Classics IV?! I'd forgotten all about them!! That sax player's still got it!! While The Cowsills never disappoint, I think Gary Puckett and Little Anthony have more than earned a nice quiet retirement. Anyway, all of those songs took me back to a nicer time growing up in the (then) beautiful San Fernando Valley. My folks were young, beautiful, and still very much with us.
From all of us with Classics IV, Thank you
A lot of these songs stuck in my head as I paddled out on my surfboard--what a time!
Susan looks amazing for 64
If there has ever been a band that epitomized a golden era of American music, it's the Cowsills. I'm glad that some of them are still with us and out on the road!
The Sax Man playing like his SOULS ON FIRE
Man!!! How good are the COWSILLS? SOOOOOO GOOD! - Real strong harmonies and a killer band to back them.
Wish they'd bring THE HAPPY TOGETHER Tour to Sydney Australia. I'd be there in a flash!!!
The Classics 4 songs amazing , vocals , sax, and music
I worked at night at the Clairemont bowl in San Diego in 1971 when Gary Puckett and the Union Gap were playing in the Quad room there at night before they made it big. My mother knew him.
They are so awesome and the vocals are sooo good ! I wish I could play guitar like Bob, he still got it at 73. The others are awesome !
Little Anthony..wow! Hitting all the notes…amazing!😍
A teen band I was in opened for the Vogues in 1969. Seeing them perform brings back fond memories and they still have the pipes
Same group name, but different people. Of the four Vogues of 1969, three are dead and one is retired.
❤❤❤
@@pmbyou09The original lineup was just incomparable! Still own their greatest hits album from back in the day. Unbelieveable, difficult to duplicate harmonies. However, the new lineup does a decent job in continuing the legacy.
@@pmbyou09 Bill & Don died, who else passed away? Hugh is retired and Chuck is performing with his own version of the band in just a miniscule area that the judge allowed him to use the name.
They still sound great after all these years.....terrific memories 🎶🎶
❤❤❤
Sensational. All these songs for eternity still performed by the same people who excited us in the 60s.
The enthusiasm of this show was so palpable. They all astonished me with how good they still sound ! A freakin' amazing ! And, I will add, they didn't need any studio enhancements. Pure music !
My wife and I were at this wonderful show last night in OC! Fantastic performances from all of these amazing artists. So many great songs. Thank you for sharing.
OMG! Little Anthony is what it's all about. Fantastic
My husband went to school with little Anthony. They use to sing in the hallways.
Man, this is vocal and musical talent nonpareil. The mid-late 60s produced some of the greatest music in the rock and roll canon. What's more: it was a lot of fun to listen to...and still is!
Our generation showing how music is done!!!! And how not to be old but gracefully embrace the youth in our hearts. And still perform!!!F#cking amazing performances 👍🎼🎶🎸☮️📻💓
Something about a sibling harmony. The Cowsills sound great.
❤❤
That's a lot of music history up on that stage! Thanks for sharing this; I really enjoyed it!!
I love you Susan Cowsill
What a family. What a song.
Which one??
Thank you so much for uploading this. So much joyous music. A simpler time.
Little Anthony still ROCKS IT👏👏👏
Every video of them Paul is an inspiration. His spirit jumping motivating the whole place. I love this ban. And paul is older than me jumping ,dancing, motivating. Justa amazing. They make me yooung again everytime I watch. Just love it. Thanks for posting.✌️👍☮️❤️🎹🎶💖👍
Always appreciate good music with wonderful artists!
Wonderful show - all the groups were great. But, I've gotta say, The Cowsills were astonishing. It's as if the '60s never ended!
Saw a tour featuring many acts, Paul Revere, Turtles etc...by far the Cowsills were the best act there.
I just love the guy from The Vogues who does all the high parts , he’s just as good as ever !
There are no original members in the Vogues
The Cowsills:Happy,Fun, and Genuine Entertainment filled with timeless love! Thank you for sharing!!❤
Would have loved to be there!!! WoW :-)
Little Anthony!!!!!!
Little Anthony is still amazing. Played this song while DJ for weddings etc. Always a fave.
Saw Happy Together Tour 2014-15 at Pacific Amphitheater CA. Sat in row 9 dead center. It was amazing!
My adult daughters were with me. We all had a great time. Mark Farner, Hermits Hermits, 3 Dog Night, Turtles, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, Detroit City, 2 other bands.
FUN!!

My wife loves the Cowsills and I think they're pretty great, too. A few years ago, they performed at Epcot Center, and we saw them. After the show, they sat with my wife for several minutes, talking. No crowds, just showing them our appreciation, and they appreciated us right back. Such great music!
That's fantastic. I wish I could've been there to join in the conversation... And give Susan a hug too. 😊
I could listen to Little Anthony all night. What a talent he still is!!
Wow so many wonderful memories flood back to us Baby Boomers listening to these songs on our AM only car radios and 8 track players from back in the days. Thanks for sharing this video, God Bless...
Love the entire lineup, but found particular pleasure in seeing The Vogues still bringin' it!
I'm just one year older than Susan Cowsill, so yes - I had a CRUSH on her in 1967! This entire vid invokes treasured memories of my youth to teen period.
I hope Billy is smiling from Heaven.
Little Anthony - Amazing cops at his age! Loved Cowsills and The Vogues..
What a great talent, such Pleasent memories gone by.

Touched my heart in a way I can`t describe.
WOW.....JUST PLAIN WOW...... I had just landed in Seattle, from my year in 'nam, when I heard the Cowsills. It was AWESOME!!! Have been listening to them ever since......
Thanks for your war service! So glad you made it back!! 👌🙏👏
