I feel like this fits Porky as a character well, starting off regal then turninging into distorted chaos with a a wavy almost childish thrown in and at the same time the violin is there keeping the regal, business feel. Just like porky, looks like a serious dictator but is just a twisted child really.

I feel like if this played in a Smash Reveal trailer, that intro and those violins would lead people to believe Porky was a tragic hero character. He's certainly a tragic character, but he is anything but a hero.

He lived for thousands of years, maybe even more, doing whatever he wanted

@@rompevuevitos222 Actually, he had awful parents and ended up getting corrupted by Giygas, sure he was a rotten child, but I imagine his actions as an antagonist had some influence from Giygas' corruption.
I dunno. I think just plain audio would give that sense, but if the visual part of the trailer is used well, I don't think it's easy to confuse the kid with a hero.
@Julio Paulino HUGE SPOILERS FOR MOTHER 2 AND 3
Porky was/is Ness's (Ness is one of MOTHER 2/Earthbound's main characters) and was known as "Pokey" in that game. Throughout the game, he tries to stop Ness for a reason that I can't remember and becomes influenced more and more by Giygas (Main Antagonist from MOTHER 2/Earthbound) and eventually ends up traveling through time to help Giygas stop Ness and Co. from defeating Giygas. After that, Pokey was never heard from again except for a letter at the end addressed to Ness saying "Spankety Spankety Spankety! Come and find me!"
..Then MOTHER 3 rolled around, (Only released in Japan) and you get to "New Pork City" near the end, a city which is themed around Porky. At almost the very end of the game, Porky's mechanical robots that look like himself from MOTHER 2 come down and fight. At the end of that, Porky decides he's gonna fight you himself, during that fight, he gets into the "Absolutely Safe Capsule", which can be entered but never exited. And Porky with that eternal life is now trapped in that capsule and never heard from again.

@@fruityninja4026 You can download them in your cellphone by using an emulator. Also, it's totally worth it. Those games are unique and inspired many other ones

MOTHER 1 is known as Earthbound Zero or Earthbound Beginnings. It requires an NES emulator to be played.

I know this has been a fan favorite song for a long time, but it never really landed for me--all I could do was think of the Mr. Batty Twist version that I found more interesting to listen to. But this version you made??? Amazing! The high energy and instrumentation is much more compelling and I get swept up listening to it! I saw this vid first, and it sounded absolutely amazing. I went to hear the original and it’s basically a completely different song. You made a masterpiece out of a song I would’ve only somewhat acknowledge if I heard it normally

I like threw this remix i could see the life pokey minch from the violin at rhe start being early mother 2/Earthbound and the last few violin notes is the part where pokey tryed to be friends with ness again and fail and then the quick part after is flashing to the giygas fight with him in his spider mech then the second beat drop is flashed to mother 3 with him confined to his spider mech capsule thing as a coughing and wheezing old man

Quite fitting that the Megalovania guitar is used in a song about Porky, because it's not just the Earthbound overdrive guitar, it's the guitar used in Pokey Means Business.

Sometimes I imagine that companies could get better music by hiring people to compose music, then hiring _other_ people to remix it. It worked for Crypt of the Necrodancer, why not do it elsewhere? Expensive, sure, but imagine the possibilities!
