I ran across this gun today...and the urge to pick one up was immediate. This looks so sexy and different. I own a bullpup and love odd guns. I want to get into longer range and feel this would be a fun shoot. Therefore 10rds is ok.
Gonna use the cheap Tula and see how impressive or unimpressive the groups will be. If not great I'll have to round up some better quality ammo or brew up some reloads. I also want to see scope zero retention with the plastic sight rail the older SL8-1s came with.
Yes it's rated for both. I mostly shoot .223 because it tends to be a little bit cheaper than 5.56. So far I've even gotten quarter size groups with Brown Bear steel cased .223 using iron sights at 50 yards. I'm sure the groups will tighten up when I start using a scope.
@@servicerifle16 I just bought a new SL8 and I got a different soft case. Yours has the pockets on the outside. Mine does not. It just has molle, with one decent size pouch inside. I might buy one like yours, but they're 130 bucks.
@@sissydreams7494 What color was your case? Mine came with a grey case, made by Vism, no HK marking at all. It was a new one too. I'm wondering if my LGS screwed me over, either accidentally or on purpose. -_-
@@terekv4785 My SL8 came with a very well made black soft case that has a prominent HK logo sewn into it. It has molle on the outside, a single good-sized pouch inside, but does NOT have the traditional 3 large pockets on the outside. It also came with a nice hex wrench tool (with a HK logo on it), but it is not worth the $50 to $70 HK wants for a replacement. Additionally, the proprietary 10rd HK mags are STUPID EXPENSIVE. I've seen them for up to $80 each online; however, I negotiated a lower price of $54 each with my local gun shop (by buying 20 of them!!!).
I'd like to get the 10rd and 20rd Pro-Mags just simply to test them and see if they're garbage or not. But they seem to be out of stock everywhere, I suspect they've been discontinued.

I want one. I'd like to get the staggered mags and change the top rail for one that sits lower.

So does it shoot 5.56 as well? The manual and lower states it is a 5.56. But the upper states .223?

Yup, I think all HK long guns come with them since I've seen MR556s and USCs come in them.

Pro mag makes 20 round mags Bottom line with a precision rifle if you need more than 10 rounds before you reload you got problems
