I am just crying!!! So happy for this guy and how I am so hopeful for my own transformation and vegan lifestyle! And I am ECSTATIC that he said yoga saved him!! After 17 surgeries, it has saved my life multiple times!
I love his open heart and authenticity. He is a true gem of a person. A bright soul! Inspirational!!!
this guy is so cool, love seeing diverse voices on these podcasts, and he is legitimately humble. such a rare qualities these days
Josh's heart just shows through so much.
Didn't know the guy but he gives off very good vibes
Yes, once we know these things, we can't unknow it. I love this line!
I enjoyed the first two with Josh, but he is even more impressive here. So eloquent and considered in his choice of words. Amazing conversation, nice job both of you. The mutual respect is very apparent.
Josh has such positive energy. Great podcast!
Love this dudes energy.
followed josh after the first ever podcast, the brother got so much soul.. he is a inspiration and so are you Rich.. glad your safe my friend had to evacuate his home in Malibu also, praying for you all...
Been drinking Rich Roll smoothies since August, and 8 inches off my waist so far. Thank you Rich. Rich Roll smoothies for life!
NWBackcountry WOW THX for posting this!
What that is amazing man!
A reminder that anyone can change the world and inspire thousands.
what a beautiful genuine guy!
I love watching Josh’s progression and spiritual growth over the years. Thanks for bringing him on so many times.
Those favorite meals from the past were actually survival techniques- that's a great point. And the frog analogy. We dont know that we are adapting every minute that we stay overweight. I love his approach and humility. And his voice and patois is soothing. So glad I ran into this. I'm an Esselstyn fan.
Josh LaJaunie, the real deal and such a gentle man with great insight and family history.
Josh is one of the most amazing and humble men I know! Such a bad ass! :)
Just loving this conversation so powerful 🥑🥒🥬🥝🫑🍐🍏🍈🥦🍏🫑🥝
This is so inspiring to many people.
Josh's example gives hope to so many.
He is great! So inspirational. I am on my new weight loss- healthy new vegetarian lifestyle. I have been loving eating more veggies and unprocessed foods. I started running and biking again and I love it.
Best interview ever. Love Josh
Yet another awe-inspiring podcast from @RichRoll!. Josh brought out a beautiful side of Rich what a delight to spend time with them both this morning! Aloha!
Been following this guy for a long time now. He is so amazing and inspiring!!!!!
Love this guy and am so thrilled that you did this interview now.
Both of you are a great inspiraton! Listening this podcast and whatching other people on youtube eating plant based and living a healthy life helped me a lot. Thank you!
Nothing but 100% respect for Josh!!
Josh , ❤️ is such an inspiring man and beautiful soul! TY for having him on your show , Rich
You can make a good argument that the value that Josh adds is more powerful than the science that well educated and bright doctors have because knowing does not translate into doing. Doctors can impart knowledge (and a surprisingly high number of doctors are quite ignorant about good nutrition) and health warnings until the cows come home, but without a cultural buy-in to even consider change, followed by impetus to keep going, change does not happen and that in my mind is where Josh has so much to offer. It is so great that your paths crossed all those years ago. I look forward to the memoir and I'll definitely pick up the kindle book in the meantime. Please add the title in your notes when it comes out.
Wow! As a northern 'cajun' acadian cousin - I was blown away by the cultural eating pressures you were talking about...Up here its all 'meat pies', 'chicken fricot' and 'maple sugar pies'...so fascinating. I'm loving this.
Listen to the first one he was on. he really goes in depth on that aspect much more so than here.
Same with regard to an Appalachian background.
Could listen to Josh forever. Such a great person. thanks, Rich.
this guy is fantastic- cant wait for his book!
Josh is an amazing human being! Great podcast Rich!
Another great conversation!! Love this guy!
This entire conversation is inspirational.
I’ve been plant based since March 1 2019 . So glad I caught this pod cast !
You guys inspire me! I'm so grateful being able to listen to all that gold! Thank you!!!
love that whole vibe so much
Never met either of you and love you both enormously.
Bad back? Please try the Mckenzie Protocol. Or see a physical therapist who is an MDT. And I’m so glad Rich that you mentioned the advances they’ve made and back surgery. They’re doing things now that are literal miracles. I worked in a physical therapist office for five years working through University and there’s no need to suffer the way he is. They’re performing surgeries now where you are literally walking out of the hospital the same day. He really needs to research it if he is suffering.
Amazing interview as usual!
Incredibly inspiring!!
Hunting and fishing is a toxic imitation. Beautiful.
Bend, don’t break. Great podcast, guys! 🙏
Bikram Yoga and long distance running is an amazing combination!
You guys are both helping a lot people!!!
I was working in Waxahachie, Texas which I was eating to much and changed my diet. I feel great today, I am back home. Downey California
What positive, humble, and awesome dude. Mic drop ✌️
Love this conversation.
Regards and good luck from Bangalore, India.
Awesome story...thanks for sharing. We need to keep hearing about good food vs bad food.
What an amazing person
Great podcast. I feel like I was hanging out with two cool dudes just shooting the shit. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for inspiring my day guys...great, informative interview!
Can I say how much I love this guy Josh?
This guy is delightful!
Great interview.
Love these two!!
love you both!!!
Sending you guys and all affected by the fires good healing vibes. At 33:48 The Eric Goodman foundation training (I think that's what is being talked about) is pretty good. I did it daily for weeks, now a lot less. The videos I did are on TH-cam. A few years back while on vacation in the area I went to see the chiro, Dr Shay Shani, after hearing him on the podcast. Garrett and the trigger point injections were my favorite thing- he's the best! Dr Shani said I had spondylosisthesis, too. Not bad. Anyway I did that decompression table a few times, went home and couldn't really find anyone else to do it where I live. I did, but I didn't care for the guy and it was expensive. He talked to me about all his hunting trips while I was on the thing trying to heal....ha. How was I supposed to heal while he's talking to me about killing innocent animals for fun all the time. I ended up finding an inversion belt online (company is in Georgia) that you use while on an inversion table. If you Google "inversion belt" you'll see it. It makes it so it's just like being on the decompression table as far as the traction being at the hips, *not the ankles* like with regular inversion table. For whatever reason, with my particular bulging disc issue, hanging from the ankles made my back spasm and it would be even worse. The foundation training and inversion with an inversion belt really helped. Two other things I think really helped: using a rigid piece of plastic called Back Magic (on Amazon for about $10) to place under the lumbar curve, then lay on it for 10-20 minutes a day in supine position to help regain that curve (something else could be used though). Also lifting heavier weights at least once a week (in addition to any lighter weights and other exercise). Including walking lunges holding weight, single legged deadlifts, pushups with weight on back, and rows. 5 sets of 5-8 reps. My chiro said to do those and I have been. I've found those things all to be the most helpful and maybe that will help someone with chronic back issues. Infrared sauna, too, especially if it's more emotional holding patterns/ stress induced. Thanks for the podcast.
Great interview, amazing guy!
A++++ podcast! 👏👏
Just heard of Josh today, and already in love with his spirit!!! OMG
Wow he's really amazing!!!! What an inspiration!!!!!!💪👏🏻😄💕💓👍
Fabulous interview.
Rich: "You could go to Beverly Hills and have them snip it off.." Josh: "Yeah we gon' skip that one." Lol you guys are great
Another awesome talk! Do you have a link for the foundation series of movements to do every morning for your back? Many thanks for all you do.
Couldn't find the original interview, anyone help me out?
When someone references a boiling frog you know they’re back woods 💯
I know this is two years old but I’m just watching it now. What’s the status of his protruded disk!?
My dream, my purpose, is helping folks resolve mobility and herniation issues non-surgically through manual release and I’d love to be in touch w him to help him if it’s still a problem! 🤙🏽✌🏽💚
Got here from Yes theory. You’re awesome !
Great interview. Try sprouts instead of amazon wholesanto. Josh.. have you looked into cbd and lots more juicing to help with the inflammation? ✌🏻
Lp
DAVID GOGGINS part 2 would be GREAT!!!!!

Really enjoyed watching. Praying for you, for you to know God’s love and salvation through Jesus. Blessings on your podcast program!
Peace, !
Hey Mr Rich Roll - I heard a great podcast from somebody with Rebekah Neumann of WeGrow - what a story - with plantbased twists of course - please "do" her Your way - thanks Adam
It’s the la di dah, lol!
Love you Josh!
👍🕊
SWIM for your back, my friend. In salt water best. Can get fast in the water. Think about it.
Please interview Dr Jason Fung. He has written The Obesity Code and The Diabetic Code and has some incredible science that needs a wider audience.
I agree. Though he isn't vegan he has a lot of good science knowledge around fasting that isn't at conflict with a plant based lifestyle.
You gave a mini speech in the beginning of the audio podcast about the current wildfires, yet you failed to mention the mass shooting that occurred in Thousand Oaks, just a few hours prior, that took the lives of young people. I was disappointed Rich. They deserve to be also be acknowledged.
Eva you’re absolutely right. It was a terrible oversight on my part. I can’t excuse it but to explain I had already recorded that intro a week ago and knew I needed to redo it. I was able to get back into my house in the middle of the fire to check on it and took the few minutes I had to re-record the intro. I was admittedly traumatized at that moment and just riffed off the top of my head in the moment without having the time to really think through what I was going to say. Last night I realized the error but did not have access to my equipment to re record it as it’s all at my house and we couldn’t get back in. By no means am I insensitive to the tragic shooting. It’s my community. I just erred as all humans do. My apologies. I did address it in my Instagram live from the house. I hope this at least clarifies things. But again no excuses.
Rich Roll thank you for your reply Rich.
, plants!
chiropractors are quacks. I was following you until you started on this....
just how isolated is this topic of conversation being plant based doesnt save the world this is the american world view😂 99% of crops are grow with artificial fertilizer and all sorts of chemicals sprayed to protect them..the chemicals become part of the plant ecosystem, its as bad as eating farm grown animals..there is only certain amount of land that can grow plants.. dont know when rich will come out of his mindset and propose moderation in consumption of any product than overuse
What a sweety
I definitely CANNOT be a vegan, im more on the paleo keto side of things. That said, I think people need to find what works for them, and do it. And quite telling each other what is right for others. Several people in my family have reversed diabetes on keto and paleo and it works for us. Hopefully we can move on from the dogma. He made one comment about you can't get enough nutrients from meat, that unfortunately just isn't true.
More unhealthy lifestyle as before
