As a black man who loves SOME satirical comedy, I was/am okay with RDJ's character in Tropic Thunder. He did exactly what he needed to do for the role, and he did it well...
The 2000s were a prime era for comedies...this video doesn't even have Anchorman, Old School, Wedding Crashers, Mean Girls, Orange County, Forgetting Sarah Marshall or Super Troopers (just to name a few) and still all the movies they used for the video are iconic comedies.

it's a modern comedy classic, and the only thing that stopped Downey Jr. from winning the Oscar that year was Heath Ledger as the Joker. its not a coincidence that the only people who don't like it are the tiny percentage of "woke" simpletons...because they think its "problematic", which proves they know (and care) nothing about comedy in the first place. 🤣

It's one of the greatest comedies ever made (just google any decent "best comedies" list). You're taste in movies is trash. That's my opinion.

I got The Hangover from the first clue. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it until I watched it with my daughter and son in law. AWESOME! Was same way with Hot Tub Time Machine and Let's Be Cops, which had the funniest scene ever with the naked Samoan in the grocery store!
I feel like the majority of this video was a specific subgenre of comedy movies. Either way, it gave me a miniature internal crisis. Out of 13 movies, I only like 2 of them. I started getting worried that I didn't like 2000s comedies, so I actually went to Wikipedia to look at all comedies released in 2000s to be reminded that I there was a lot I did like. If I'm right, and most of these can be classed as some subgenre, it was not the subgenre for me. Power to people who liked all of those style movies, but I wasn't one of them.
