Needless to say that I'm blown away by this young woman. And pleasantly surprised with this no nonsense jam when compared to her other videos that I could only describe as funky jazz. I need to hear more of these videos

There are many girls out there who can outplay guys, in fact I didn't know there were so many women playing the saxophone and they play the hell out of it.

Well Candy Dulfer is pretty good.
I can think of a few traditional jazz sax players like Bird, Hawkins, and Coltrane, but as far as modern sax players, since I have been listening to her she has become my new favorite player. Diamonds in my ears.

Never been a big sax lover when it is the lead instrument. Is kind of like drinking down chocolate syrup. The first couple of slugs are good but after that, it gets to be too much really fast. But when the sax is being used in songs like Baker Street, Careless Whisper, and Year of the Cat it is very tasty and leaves you wanting more.

yes, very good in fact but correct me if i am wrong, she has captured David Sanborn's style quite handily. it's too bad he went the way of SMOOV JAZZ but then he won't die a pauper like so many jazz greats have.
being bolstered by Bonamassa is a nice enticement though. her singing is pretty good too, way better than Lyn Stanley to use a not-very-good analogy. at least she takes control of the melody and tune.
i'm not running out to buy this but if it came to my fingers while flipping through LPs or CDs, i just might pull that trigger.
