    Thanks Lee for showing this. One day I get a plane or wing to fly. Looks so much easier to build and tinker with than quads.

    I like that it doesn’t have the strange & noisey servos normally found in micro models. The graphics look great, & for those who want a traditional style Tundra, there is that option. I was notified about this new model only today & you have made a review already. 👍

      I was lucky to get the model to try a few months ago so this review has been waiting to it to be released.. happy flying

    Great little flyer! I always enjoy your diversity of rc reviews. I typically fly drones but I am wanting to get into a wing or a plane and this looks great to start with. Thank you

    Good honest review. It's a super-cute model but I think it's just a bit too heavy/fast for the size. As you mentioned, more wing area or lighter foam would change that. I think you'd have to be pretty brave to try it indoors, unless you have access to a huge venue. Outdoors the standard Tundra (which isn't a big model) takes a lot of beating, particularly the V2.

    Very nice reveiw. Perhaps HK should engineer and supply a set of slats for the leading edge?

      That is a great idea!

    question is, is it small enough and packable enough to be hiked to the field? Or is it more like the UMX stuff where it's so delicate it needs the great big box to keep it safe?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lots of better options than this for portable back-pack flyers.. 600mm Wings for example are perfect and rugged..

      @@Painless360 yeah wings work, but would be nice to have something a bit more interesting to look at in the sky

    Grate video .. would som vortex generators on the wings make it bettre in slow speeds?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe, this model just needed a littke more wing area to be a better flyer.. Happy flying

    Good review, and spot on about the power situation. In my case I found it necessary to maintain closer to 80% throttle or risk being too slow, but I was aware of this when I bought it. I am thinking about using a small 3 cell for my next flight. I know the esc will recognize a 3 cell. Is there any info on whether or not a 3 cell is too much? Thanks!

    about the HV battery - not having had any experience with them can they be charged like a normal Lipo battery ?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes but you charge each cell to 4.35 rather than 4.20.. Modern chargers have settings to charge HV batteries...

    Any chance of putting inav inside ? I m big fan of the Tundra too

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd go for the 'regular' Tundra - wider speed envelope and lots of room inside. This one would be tight and it's heavy enough already...

    i got a question, im tired o buying hobbyking models and a servo craps out and its done. how are the stock servos in ALL TUNDRAS? Can i trust them or do i need to change them right out the box?

    Why now include a small Gyro or or stabilization That would give it more life time

      I hope they add one - that may help newer pilots with it..

      145gms plus weight of your chosen battery according to HobbyKing.

    Does this plane take 3s? I only have 3s 460 or 2s 850 battery...

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 2s HV works well and a suspect that a 3s setup would be just too heavy..

      They look like water transfer on this one so I wouldn't get them too wet! :D

      They are doing two versions of the decals, perhaps you'll find the other one less offensive? hobbyking.com/en_us/durafly-micro-tundra-classic-green-pnf-sports-model-w-flaps-epo-635mm-25.html
