And what's your opinion on them affecting or not affecting a boards performance in this modern day with different materials to aid in durability, like the Infinity system, mesh, skintec, tension tech etc?

Namely Surfblanks, iFoam, Vitatex, Foamsolutions and Sondor but none of them apart from Foamsolutions are providing any prices and I don't think even their hardest foam is stiff enough. Figured FINE, DIY harder! What about foam in a can!? Found some on special, R100 for 750ml which should produce 40L odd of PU "waterproof" foam, 2 of those dumped into a rectangular mold big enough for a 42" board should do the trick!! Question is, how stiff is this stuff and how "waterproof" is it really... But if this works, I'm onto something ekse! 😁
Personally I would go with the NRG cores unless you're on a budget. The longevity you get from the PP is that much better! Keeps its core so much more and the foam has better memory...
Yes it has both. The infinity flex ♾ doesn’t have enough of a rigidity to hold the flex of the board completely. So all those boards come with a stronger.

It definitely gives it a little more rigidity but it is more for helping the board to recoil back to it’s original place. I like it because it gives the board good pop and allows for some pretty big moves.

Hi Emma. I would say anything above 18 Celsius is considered pretty warm. That’s how I feel, might be a bit different for some but that makes sense to me.
I’ve got no idea at all… didn’t know there were so many. This is all the information I can find on the type: Surlyn™ slick exhibits rubber-like properties and superior projection. It is designed so as that it has minimal impact on the flex properties of the core.
NRG is a pretty good core for cold water. I don’t find it to have the same issues properties as the PP in its recoil and pop but still acts good in colder water.
I use the entire range of stringers in my board depending on the age and flex my board is. I have been using the stuff stringer in Portugal in my old board but will vary between soft and mid in a new board. All depending.

HDPE is on the PE core. Often a lot softer and allows the board to be more flexible. The Surlyn slick is a lot harder on the NRG and PP core which holds rigidity and makes them stiffer all round.
I'm from Oregon and I want to know if I were to ride the cold waves in the Oregon coast and in the warm waters in Southern California and Hawaii, Should I use the Polypropylene bodyboards for the three places? What do you recommend?
Maybe look at getting a PP ISS board. You will maybe have to purchase another stringer or 2 but it will be cheaper than 2 boards. There are a few options on that market. That way you can use a stiffer stringer for the warmer places and a flexible stringer for the other places.

shame they're all plastic foam based are there any 'greener' options apart from the cork alternative ?
Pride and HB bodyboards both make a cork board that is meant to be more sustainable for the environment

No idea on cores in SA. I know they were hard to find and I don’t think it’s made in SA anymore.

I have never used any of those cores so your guess is as good as mine on that topic. Unfortunately I can only comment on the Sniper range...

I prefer the Pp but the NRG cores are still very good. Just depends on your preference but I just think the PP is a bit stronger.
