I absolutely love how Friday Night Corruption went from a simple GF reskin to one of the most high quality mods ever. I can't wait to see how the fight with GF goes, who knows, maybe we might end back with Soul BF lmao, incredible mod!
A really nice detail that I don't see anyone else noting on is that Soul's Vocals gradually become more raw/less distorted as the song progresses, eventually flowing into a much more natural sounding voice at the very end
So here is my head cannon on what is happening so far: BF in this week has been his own conciseness, trying to escape his own mind, while soul BF is basically an extension of BF’s personality and morals/beliefs. When in his mind, how soul BF acts is dependent of what BF believes him to be. This is the same for everyone in the fnf universe with the souls of their respective characters, as long as you have a healthy relationship with your soul, you can control your body and mind. But when the corruption takes over a character, this is the main thing that gets attacked. The corruption will make the character go into a deep sleep, cutting ties with their soul and allowing lemon demon to have complete control over their bodies, spreading the virus through sound waves. As an added layer of protection, the corruption also dulls memory of the character’s soul, making them wrongfully assume their soul is a manifestation of the corruption, catching them in a catch 22 with them selves. In BF’s case, the corruption overused BF’s body, which caused the corruption to weaken enough for BF to break out of its control. He mistook his soul to be evil, so it became evil. But somewhere during the second song, BF started to remember. He was realizing that soul BF was not actually his enemy, being the first corruption victim to ever make it that close to escaping his mind. Noticing this, lemon demon went on to settle this personally. He separated BF and soul BF to remain in control. All he would need to do is wait for BF to fall asleep again. But BF… he just wasn’t cracking. Even after what seemed like years. BF had a lot of time to think in that time, and imagined soul BF to be godlike in power. It ended up working and repairing the relationship between them. Now, they have one last send-off before BF fully breaks free from the corruption.
Bro! This is actually pretty close to my own ideas! Soul is BF's purest self, his prime ideals and morals and personality all wrapped up into the personification of what he wants to be and how he sees himself. Soul starts off with such a messed up voice and seeming so evil cause of the corruption and cause BF saw him as the villain, the embodiment of the corruption and the evil within him, likely also going off of Soul looking so much like Glitch!BF from Senpai's week, yet as the battles continued he broke from the corruption more and more and Soul starting showing through, the corruption being broken more and more caused Soul to show more of himself as an ally which is why his voice becomes more clear and he starts BF more. Soul faded as the corruption tried to separate them to make BF lose hope, however.. he just didn't, he kept hope and stayed determined through all that time, and after so long, when BF truly needed him the most, and was almost down for the count, Soul gained enough control to appear once again! He then pushed Boyfriend to ignore the corruption's words and keep going for his friends, even teasing him or near mocking him to twist his arm into trying harder, the whole "planning on giving up?" bit and such spiting BF into pushing himself beyond anything before so matter how much he's already giving! As for "I'm not even real", Soul isn't real in the sense of an actual physical person, however he's as real as emotions or thoughts, he's real in BF's mind and body and, ironically, his soul, but not so much in the outside, "real", world.
The fact that this dude has been doing this series for over a year and its still going strong is absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see the next episode!
This one really felt like a send-off to the Corruption Mod in general, not just between Soul BF and BF. I know this isn’t the last episode (as seen from the end) but if this were it, this would be a good way to end it. Looking forward to new shit in the future!

Rather than just being a plot vehicle to make FNF songs with famous characters/OC, it's really fleshed out and treated as a character, a person, different from canon BF, and various mods too, like Tricky and Whitty. This entire corruption mod series is nothing short of a high budget anime. This has to be one of the most beautiful, hardest working mod ever. You can tell the amount of care and effort put into every new release and I appreciate it so much. Absolutely worth the wait everytime, and I can’t wait for more.

ALSO READ UNTIL THE END *PLEASE* ) Some things i want to point out : - There's no health bar in this song, meaning you cant lose and no death or anything, just a nice little friendly song. - Soul's voice has been changing slightly over the past 3 songs, meaning not only BF is escaping his corruption, but also making Soul more neutral-like, resulting he is fading, just very VERY V E R Y slowly. - "Make it fast, I'm a busy guy." Does that mean Soul can actually shapeshift into different people and transfer between minds? Is he actually trying to help other corrupted people? (well, he did say he was just kidding and he wasn't even real, so the chances are low, but it could be possible. Apart from that, it's just a theory)

The feeling this video gave me was indescribable. its was a feeling of happiness, calmness, and it was overall AMAZING! the song and background combined perfectly! the change at 2:12 changed the feeling of the song as a lighter and more relaxing theme! Its amazing how far this series has come from just a simple modification to Gf's appearance to a full blown mod with amazing songs, new characters, and even new mechanics! While BF managed to remove the corruption from himself, he then remembers where he's at: on stage, where he took down DD, and is surrounded by corrupted beings. He isn't just shuddering because GF is in front of him. He's shuddering because he's literally surrounded by even his own friends... ...and his only escape is to brute-force them with his voice. It's low-key crazy how far the corruption mod has come, It started with a Christmas decorations, remixes of songs and normal background, to custom songs, crazy backgrounds and custom backgrounds. I'm rly excited to see show this goes, especially since it looks Like Girlfriend isn't dead which is a surprise
I can't say this about any other mod, this is genuinely a masterpiece and I get flooded with pure joy everytime I see progress on this mod get released. I will happily play this entire thing when it's all finally done. hell, if there's more after the initial release, I will 100% play that too. Absolutely in love with this

It's really amazing how this game managed such a Loving Fanbase. For the most part, that is. I have never seen such dedicated fans who work together to express their Love for the Original Game this much. FNF has brought a lot of Music Creators and/or just Fans of Rhythm Games together. I know I'm late to this, but I'm just honestly really impressed with this mod, it really just started because of Girlfriend's head on top of a Christmas tree looking creepy as hell when you're fighting the lemon demon, and now look at how amazing it's become so far! Hats off to you man, this is by far my favorite mod and I always eagerly wait to see what new things you do with this from here!
The song, the background, and BF Soul's encouraging motives is sooo wholesome. This song surely brings hope the corruption that BF is facing, having the opportunity to expel the evil within him. This feeling relates to how most people feel (Including me), which is having someone to help you escape your dark place to finally see the light. I believe in everyone who is having a bad time, there are people who would help you through your tough journey. 😌

These videos are a surprisingly effective way to feel less depressed. Anyway, this is a great video. Take your time and keep making quality content. I mean I could literally wait like 3 years maybe at max for this series to complete as long as it promised quality. This whole story is so well crafted and every song so far expresses the development of each character and how the result of everything makes the story go onwards it makes me excited to see how the next song and animation unfolds
I have a theory. There's absolutely no health bar in this song, which leads me to believe that it's IMPOSSIBLE to lose this song. Afterall, they already beat the corruption, nothing to blueball to now, just a nice song.
That or the opposite, where you have to fc. Boyfriend barely escaped the corruption by the skin of his teeth and now he cant afford to make a mistake, or else its back to sleep.
god damn the visuals on this part are so damn good and the song is mad good as well, the voice acting for soul was a nice touch too. A really good send off for BF towards his final battle which looks like it's going to be hell of a pain in the ass. Definitely worth the long wait, keep up the good work chief.
Theory: the reason he was able to save himself is for that exact reason he didn’t take of his coat (that’s what I’m assuming he’s wearing) so those parts of his body didn’t get corrupted causing him to have a small amount of consciousness after beating DD (note this is joke)
@@akiyame I mean, Girlfriend is kinda trapped in that corrupted shell of hers as had Boyfriend, so on one hand, Corrupted Girlfriend is basically powerless. On the other hand, we've seen what Corrupted Boyfriend was able to do before this, so there's no doubt it would probably be similar for Corrupted Girlfriend. Not to place doubts on people, but I'm just putting that out there.
After so long, Boyfriend has finally broken through the corruption and is now ready for the challenges ahead. With the final send off given to SoulBF, the sentient being of himself, he is filled with more confidence than ever before. But he must be wary, as his first challenge lies with the corrupted version of the one he loves...
This series is amazing. It started as a simple reskin, and became an epic adventure with high stakes and a banger of an OST. It deserves the popularity it has. Can't wait for the next Installment!

Theory: The reason why GF is going to fight BF, is because Corrupted BF knew he was going to lose at the end, so he attempts to use GF, so he can get defeated mentally and corrupt BF again.
I feel like the first person he go to confront is GF, which is why he’s terrified even know he can’t see her. But I like the idea of the corruption sending GF first; cause if anyone is gonna break BF it’s corrupted GF.
The corruption is a fan of hurting their victims emotionally to strees them out and corrupt them faster so it probably figured "if showing corrupted MM worked with the former last person standing daddy dearest then using corrupted gf work for our former ace boyfriend"

The instrumental, the voices, the background, the animations, everything is nothing short of perfect. Though the notes at 1:32, for example, didn't show which ones are held or how long they are, hopefully it'll be fixed once the mod/demo is released, I'm super hyped to try it out when time comes

I love how this is really the only upbeat and cheerful song so far as it really has nothing to do with the corruption since BF broke free of its control.

I- I can't say how much I love this. The music: A banger, emotional, but happy. Energetic, but calm. Just a masterpiece, fits perfectly. The story: This is so meaningful. Boyfriend finally breaking free from the corruption with the help of a "friend" of his subconscious. He's finally, free, but now he has to fix all the mess he, without knowing, created. Plus the messages of Soul BF are just so... fitting. Its just so great. The art: The animations- holly shit those animations are so CLEAN!!!! And the art, Oh my god! I love it! I love it all! Keep up the fantastic work you all!!!!
Damn, what an amazing video here, the animations for Boyfriend, Soul Boyfriend, what ever that split thing of the charting, the transitions, dude everything about this is just Phenomenal, i really can't wait for the full Version to come out, it seems that Phantom Fear is really working a lot on this mod and we must appreciate all of this, wow, despite all the drama of the community, this does show a lot of love to the game, i really wonder what the og Devs say about this one
Absolutely beautiful. I love the soundtrack for the last few songs, especially this week and dad week. I hope you go back and make the older songs faster/harder, or even copy the erect difficulty idea. Because in my opinion, I think it would make more sense that the corruption be hard to beat. Edit + idea: Change the note textures back to normal for the parts where BF is winning against the corruption
It would be cool to hear some Remixes, But trust me dude. The Corruption putting "Low Effort" into it's job is 100% how I imagine it plays out, It toys with it's opponents, Only putting in the effort when the opponent is really hard. "Like Daddy Dearest" Everything else is a joke to it.

This may just be the greatest songs in all of FNF. Holy hell, everything from the transitions to the mechanics just makes it so perfect. (It also cements Soul as my new favorite FNF character)
Personally I was of the hope that Corruption's story would end with Corruption winning and this being the only dark universe in the FnF universe that actually caves in on itself. It'd have been a unique interesting take on a mod where most mods end on a happy note where BF always wins. But I'm not gonna lie, the symbolism of this part makes me kinda happy that Corruption may end up losing. That absolute beautiful background drop with the sun rising up over a land of darkness kinda makes me think it symbolizes no matter how dark or hopeless things seem to be in life there's always hope that things will get better in the end. Kinda powerful. -Also this music seems like it's inspired by Modern Sonic mixed with Tekken just a bit.-
Naw... That would "Confirm" all of the shitty Mods that have been made with the Corruptions premise, "The Corruption is the end all be all! It wins in any fight period!" Or some dumb shit like that happening. You don't want people getting excited thinking that this 1 version of a Mod is just "Better" then every other one. Trust me dude. lol
The thing is I don't care about the FnF community or the opinions of said community. It's a toxic place where they just cancel each other daily. What they think is inconsequential. If the corruption wins I'm still happy. I get to see a unique ending where one FnF universe collapses in on itself. And if BF & Friends DO win to send the message of "no matter how bad the times are things will get better" then I'm satisfied. The actions of a fandom have no bearing or consequence of my views or what I ultimately want.
Really it just shows BFs power and why he's so important in the grand scheme of the Corruption Universe - when you corrupt BF, you take his unstoppable winning ability with him and that is what allows the Corruption to "win everytime" - but once BF is uncorrupted, all that luck you got from taking over the Protag backfires pretty badly
@Cheeky (Szèmtelen Mano) Basically - the Corruption taking over BF basically handed the Corruption protagonist bullshit rights. Because as a player we play BF, there's no way for other characters to really win because the precedent is BF always wins or atleast comes out on top - it'd be like if in Undertale someone yoinked Frisk's soul and character control transfered to them. Suddenly they can do what Frisk can do because we as a player can just retry over and over and such to perfect our approach to the world's challengers
Fun fact : This episode marks the first song in the Corruption Mod that we've seen have a gimmick. Correct me if I'm wrong, though. EDIT: By gimmick, I mean something in the chart that makes the chart 'special', in a way. Examples are death notes.
i know youve prob seen hundreds of comments about this, but the music and effort put into this is astounding. and just to add to that, some mods make bfs voice sound obnoxiously squeaky (not pointing fingers, but you know the ones). you sir, have not only used a dope bf font or whatever its called, but made it sound smooth and flowy with the songs. truly, hats off to you and the team!
All of the mechanics are already in the game! These mechanics are not added with effects, they all are already in the game, so this is just the gameplay.

I think they've disabled it for these videos for the purpose of showcasing the actual story and what's happening deeper into more of a cinematic view for the purpose of a video, rather than making it seem like a game. When we download to play it, I'm sure it'll be there and you can see it's there when you play the "demo" released version Phantom's already put out.

Ever time I hear this, I feel like that this is the closest FNF song that can be a great anime outro song that doesn't have lyrics. This song has the capability to make you want to cry every time you listen to it . It truly expressed that boyfriend will come back into the real world to take back what the Lemon Demon had from him, his life and the world as we know it. Thank you Phantom Fear for making this great series that had helped us through Covid-19 and now , keep it up with the animations and show it to the community that supports you.

A really nice detail that I don't see anyone else noting on is that Soul's Vocals gradually become more raw/less distorted as the song progresses, eventually flowing into a much more natural sounding voice at the very end

So here is my head cannon on what is happening so far:
BF in this week has been his own conciseness, trying to escape his own mind, while soul BF is basically an extension of BF’s personality and morals/beliefs. When in his mind, how soul BF acts is dependent of what BF believes him to be. This is the same for everyone in the fnf universe with the souls of their respective characters, as long as you have a healthy relationship with your soul, you can control your body and mind.
But when the corruption takes over a character, this is the main thing that gets attacked. The corruption will make the character go into a deep sleep, cutting ties with their soul and allowing lemon demon to have complete control over their bodies, spreading the virus through sound waves. As an added layer of protection, the corruption also dulls memory of the character’s soul, making them wrongfully assume their soul is a manifestation of the corruption, catching them in a catch 22 with them selves.
In BF’s case, the corruption overused BF’s body, which caused the corruption to weaken enough for BF to break out of its control. He mistook his soul to be evil, so it became evil. But somewhere during the second song, BF started to remember. He was realizing that soul BF was not actually his enemy, being the first corruption victim to ever make it that close to escaping his mind. Noticing this, lemon demon went on to settle this personally. He separated BF and soul BF to remain in control. All he would need to do is wait for BF to fall asleep again.
But BF… he just wasn’t cracking. Even after what seemed like years. BF had a lot of time to think in that time, and imagined soul BF to be godlike in power. It ended up working and repairing the relationship between them. Now, they have one last send-off before BF fully breaks free from the corruption.
Bro! This is actually pretty close to my own ideas! Soul is BF's purest self, his prime ideals and morals and personality all wrapped up into the personification of what he wants to be and how he sees himself. Soul starts off with such a messed up voice and seeming so evil cause of the corruption and cause BF saw him as the villain, the embodiment of the corruption and the evil within him, likely also going off of Soul looking so much like Glitch!BF from Senpai's week, yet as the battles continued he broke from the corruption more and more and Soul starting showing through, the corruption being broken more and more caused Soul to show more of himself as an ally which is why his voice becomes more clear and he starts BF more.
Soul faded as the corruption tried to separate them to make BF lose hope, however.. he just didn't, he kept hope and stayed determined through all that time, and after so long, when BF truly needed him the most, and was almost down for the count, Soul gained enough control to appear once again! He then pushed Boyfriend to ignore the corruption's words and keep going for his friends, even teasing him or near mocking him to twist his arm into trying harder, the whole "planning on giving up?" bit and such spiting BF into pushing himself beyond anything before so matter how much he's already giving!
As for "I'm not even real", Soul isn't real in the sense of an actual physical person, however he's as real as emotions or thoughts, he's real in BF's mind and body and, ironically, his soul, but not so much in the outside, "real", world.

This entire corruption mod series is nothing short of a high budget anime. This has to be one of the most beautiful, hardest working mod ever. You can tell the amount of care and effort put into every new release and I appreciate it so much. Absolutely worth the wait everytime, and I can’t wait for more.

Some things i want to point out :
- There's no health bar in this song, meaning you cant lose and no death or anything, just a nice little friendly song.
- Soul's voice has been changing slightly over the past 3 songs, meaning not only BF is escaping his corruption, but also making Soul more neutral-like, resulting he is fading, just very VERY V E R Y slowly.

Does that mean Soul can actually shapeshift into different people and transfer between minds? Is he actually trying to help other corrupted people? (well, he did say he was just kidding and he wasn't even real, so the chances are low, but it could be possible. Apart from that, it's just a theory)

The feeling this video gave me was indescribable. its was a feeling of happiness, calmness, and it was overall AMAZING! the song and background combined perfectly! the change at 2:12 changed the feeling of the song as a lighter and more relaxing theme! Its amazing how far this series has come from just a simple modification to Gf's appearance to a full blown mod with amazing songs, new characters, and even new mechanics! Proud of you Phantom fear! :)

As I had noticed, Angel Hello, you made it in your second Pibby episode, Boyfriend actually teamed up with SoulBF to save Steven Universe and Spinel. Shame he didn't do it for the rest of the corrupted people in the Steven Universe, well, universe.
It's really amazing how this game managed such a Loving Fanbase. For the most part, that is. I have never seen such dedicated fans who work together to express their Love for the Original Game this much. FNF has brought a lot of Music Creators and/or just Fans of Rhythm Games together. I know I'm late to this, but I'm just honestly really impressed with this mod, it really just started because of Girlfriend's head on top of a Christmas tree looking creepy as hell when you're fighting the lemon demon, and now look at how amazing it's become so far! Hats off to you man, this is by far my favorite mod and I always eagerly wait to see what new things you do with this from here!
The song, the background, and BF Soul's encouraging motives is sooo wholesome. This song surely brings hope the corruption that BF is facing, having the opportunity to expel the evil within him. This feeling relates to how most people feel (Including me), which is having someone to help you escape your dark place to finally see the light. I believe in everyone who is having a bad time, there are people who would help you through your tough journey. 😌

god damn the visuals on this part are so damn good and the song is mad good as well, the voice acting for soul was a nice touch too. A really good send off for BF towards his final battle which looks like it's going to be hell of a pain in the ass. Definitely worth the long wait, keep up the good work chief.

Theory: the reason he was able to save himself is for that exact reason he didn’t take of his coat (that’s what I’m assuming he’s wearing) so those parts of his body didn’t get corrupted causing him to have a small amount of consciousness after beating DD (note this is joke)

Theory: The reason why GF is going to fight BF, is because Corrupted BF knew he was going to lose at the end, so he attempts to use GF, so he can get defeated mentally and corrupt BF again.

The corruption is a fan of hurting their victims emotionally to strees them out and corrupt them faster so it probably figured "if showing corrupted MM worked with the former last person standing daddy dearest then using corrupted gf work for our former ace boyfriend"

The instrumental, the voices, the background, the animations, everything is nothing short of perfect.
Though the notes at 1:32, for example, didn't show which ones are held or how long they are, hopefully it'll be fixed once the mod/demo is released, I'm super hyped to try it out when time comes

I love how this is really the only upbeat and cheerful song so far as it really has nothing to do with the corruption since BF broke free of its control.

I can't say how much I love this.
The music: A banger, emotional, but happy. Energetic, but calm. Just a masterpiece, fits perfectly.
The story: This is so meaningful. Boyfriend finally breaking free from the corruption with the help of a "friend" of his subconscious. He's finally, free, but now he has to fix all the mess he, without knowing, created. Plus the messages of Soul BF are just so... fitting. Its just so great.
The art: The animations- holly shit those animations are so CLEAN!!!! And the art, Oh my god!

Damn, what an amazing video here, the animations for Boyfriend, Soul Boyfriend, what ever that split thing of the charting, the transitions, dude everything about this is just Phenomenal, i really can't wait for the full Version to come out, it seems that Phantom Fear is really working a lot on this mod and we must appreciate all of this, wow, despite all the drama of the community, this does show a lot of love to the game, i really wonder what the og Devs say about this one
Absolutely beautiful. I love the soundtrack for the last few songs, especially this week and dad week. I hope you go back and make the older songs faster/harder, or even copy the erect difficulty idea. Because in my opinion, I think it would make more sense that the corruption be hard to beat.
Edit + idea: Change the note textures back to normal for the parts where BF is winning against the corruption
It would be cool to hear some Remixes, But trust me dude. The Corruption putting "Low Effort" into it's job is 100% how I imagine it plays out, It toys with it's opponents, Only putting in the effort when the opponent is really hard. "Like Daddy Dearest" Everything else is a joke to it.

This may just be the greatest songs in all of FNF. Holy hell, everything from the transitions to the mechanics just makes it so perfect.
(It also cements Soul as my new favorite FNF character)
Personally I was of the hope that Corruption's story would end with Corruption winning and this being the only dark universe in the FnF universe that actually caves in on itself. It'd have been a unique interesting take on a mod where most mods end on a happy note where BF always wins. But I'm not gonna lie, the symbolism of this part makes me kinda happy that Corruption may end up losing. That absolute beautiful background drop with the sun rising up over a land of darkness kinda makes me think it symbolizes no matter how dark or hopeless things seem to be in life there's always hope that things will get better in the end. Kinda powerful.
-Also this music seems like it's inspired by Modern Sonic mixed with Tekken just a bit.-
Naw... That would "Confirm" all of the shitty Mods that have been made with the Corruptions premise, "The Corruption is the end all be all! It wins in any fight period!" Or some dumb shit like that happening. You don't want people getting excited thinking that this 1 version of a Mod is just "Better" then every other one.

The thing is I don't care about the FnF community or the opinions of said community. It's a toxic place where they just cancel each other daily. What they think is inconsequential. If the corruption wins I'm still happy. I get to see a unique ending where one FnF universe collapses in on itself. And if BF & Friends DO win to send the message of "no matter how bad the times are things will get better" then I'm satisfied. The actions of a fandom have no bearing or consequence of my views or what I ultimately want.

Really it just shows BFs power and why he's so important in the grand scheme of the Corruption Universe - when you corrupt BF, you take his unstoppable winning ability with him and that is what allows the Corruption to "win everytime" - but once BF is uncorrupted, all that luck you got from taking over the Protag backfires pretty badly
@Cheeky (Szèmtelen Mano) Basically - the Corruption taking over BF basically handed the Corruption protagonist bullshit rights. Because as a player we play BF, there's no way for other characters to really win because the precedent is BF always wins or atleast comes out on top - it'd be like if in Undertale someone yoinked Frisk's soul and character control transfered to them. Suddenly they can do what Frisk can do because we as a player can just retry over and over and such to perfect our approach to the world's challengers
Fun fact : This episode marks the first song in the Corruption Mod that we've seen have a gimmick. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

i know youve prob seen hundreds of comments about this, but the music and effort put into this is astounding. and just to add to that, some mods make bfs voice sound obnoxiously squeaky (not pointing fingers, but you know the ones). you sir, have not only used a dope bf font or whatever its called, but made it sound smooth and flowy with the songs. truly, hats off to you and the team!

I think they've disabled it for these videos for the purpose of showcasing the actual story and what's happening deeper into more of a cinematic view for the purpose of a video, rather than making it seem like a game. When we download to play it, I'm sure it'll be there and you can see it's there when you play the "demo" released version Phantom's already put out.

Ever time I hear this, I feel like that this is the closest FNF song that can be a great anime outro song that doesn't have lyrics. This song has the capability to make you want to cry every time you listen to it . It truly expressed that boyfriend will come back into the real world to take back what the Lemon Demon had from him, his life and the world as we know it. Thank you Phantom Fear for making this great series that had helped us through Covid-19 and now , keep it up with the animations and show it to the community that supports you.
