Thank you , not to far then lol shame it's in bad condition and kids vandalised the inside it's been stripped now so if it's being converted into something else is interesting. Always wondered what it was called before thanks for sharing that .
Nice video, I reckon if I leave my shed unlocked long enough a video about the inside of it will appear on YT! Loads of pubs closing for good, glad they are getting documented before they go
I'm glad to produce these videos it gets to show people more of the canals they are not able to see I think they are amazing places to visit for history , wildlife and scenery I'm always down the cut
I've just come across your channel, I love Black Country born there n live there for over 40 years ,down at 7 oaks they brewed the beer just of the canal by merry hill. Great vid will defo subscribe. 🙏
Another fab video!! I'm just trying to work out where that pub is, I probably pass it all the time but I can't place it. Always interesting to see how these buildings end up though. Great to see the canals all frozen over, something we don't see very often. I went along the Dudley canal (primrose hill) earlier today and saw birds scatting across it. Just finished watching your Lapel video, that's another beaut!
Thanks bud just come across this pub by chance the other day avoiding netherton tunnel on way back be interesting to see if it has a extended future but most buildings vanish when derelict
Thanks for the tour of the place brave entering tbh cause I did think about squatters or any teenagers in there but fair play . I know it's a old pub cause one my relatives used to go on about it in early 2000's
Thanks I know a brave visit but worth it , it's a step in time for me cause my grandad used to play darts in 90s and enjoyed going he was actually a decent dart player at time was gonna enter into competitions and leagues but quit
The Premier League sticker indicates it was fairly recent within last 3/4/5/ it closed. The Sky dish on the back looked fairly new to unless it had a Bigger Commerical one that was taken.
@@drewsoutdooradventures01 Yeah Google maps showed it open in 2018 closed between 2018 and 2020/22. The image before 2018 shows a side fence with shelter and Sky sports banner plus a few others 2018 this is hanging off might have been at the front of the Pub but both now gone. Also looked in 2014 that outbuilding with a cream chair looked like it was abandoned don't think that was to do the with the pub looks like a Separate House maybe for the former Pub Owners maybe it was Inn and it was an innkeepers lodge but yeah
Wow didn't know that tbh seemed a bit of a odd place I'm 100% sure there was someone in the building at same time cause I went back on night and stuff appeared outside that wasn't there's coming out
@@drewsoutdooradventures01 wouldnt surprise me at al mate. Yeah, im 99% sure it closed down after a lad was stabbed to death outside there after an argument. I dont think its ever re opened.
I've seen frozen cuts before but not recently. Nothing nice about a derelict pub or building. I know of places closed and then raided overnight by police and left with lots of damage so it'd be too expensive to repair. I suspect this is what happened.
@@davidbaxter7201 that's mad tbh can definitely see its changed luckily I explored when it was sort of in a ok condition I recon they will knock this down in time
Where on Turners Hill is the pub??? I live just off Newbury Lane nr Turners Hill. Is this the pub nr the Drs and opposite the Golf range at the top of Rowley?
Sad the state they have let the hippodrome get in it's a beautifull old building The old blue bird toffee factory is gone now too Most of the pubs are vanishing
@@williamraybould8393 I never knew there was an outdoor pool there when I worked at the blue bird site 15 -20 years ago the out buildings were being used as a garden center supplies warehouse One of the big rooms had some lovely old brown and white tiling all around it I'm guessing that was the main toffee room years ago Sad for it all to be gone for a few houses
Nice vid i live about 50 meters from the Bulls Head, it was once called Chaplain's but the name got changed back to it's original name.

Great video. Love your black country stuff 💯 most the time a smoke alarm being covered is so it don't detect people smoking in there.

So sad now hippodrome has gone, not all up grades are good, feel we have lost alot of traditional backcountry things and have become sterile,
I know right I loved seeing it walking past had some good architecture old style art deco we are loosing quiet alot of historical stuff tbh

It was closed down after someone was killed there.
