So sad, a life devoid of any affectionate touch between mother & calf. No opportunity to run either, or experience natural ground and open spaces, just depressing confinement.

I understand where your coming from, in an ideal world they would be free roaming or at least have access to free range. Unfortunately that would drive up costs sky high where the farmer would be making a loss or if a law came in forcing everyone to do it milk prices would 3x ! Same with meat etc
Organic offers some solution due to higher prices but this is only a small segment (%) of the market.

@@BoxingPrinceTV No, in an ideal world, people would not be breeding them into a life of suffering and exploitation. Organic is no different, they still scream when they die. We don’t need to be eating animals or their excretions, or using them for profit when we could be eating food that doesn’t destroy lives & the environment. A vegan lifestyle is proven to be be perfectly sufficient and healthy. Cows are vegan and look how big and strong they are.

@@kerryfirehorse ok well me & you are on opposite spectrums. In my exp & you just proved it by your judgmental & entitled comment that vegans are in most cases extremist. If you choose to be vegan all the best to you but people can choose what they eat.. including animal products !

@@kerryfirehorse bdw .. all farming / food production when done on an industrial scale is bad for the environment. Including farming for vegetables !

No judgement & no entitlement, just the truth. If you find the truth so offensive, it time to have a good look at that cognitive dissonance. Also, how can anyone be so arrogant to think that they have the choice to take a life for a sandwich?

How can we possibly think this is humane and natural. So sad to see and I wish people would stop believing the false adverts on TV showing cows crazing happily in a field - they need to see the reality. Well done Viva!

Funny how people in the west pretend to be outraged by zero grazing, yet the same people also live under zero grazing conditions. 😅😅 Only difference is that no one films the zero grazing nature of humans with some sad background music 😁😁

the calfs drinking milk replacer instead of their milk. If humans drank the milk replacer alot of this suffering would stop.

Exactly...or if we insist on consuming a product intended by nature for babies, why are we not consuming milk produced by our own species? Or is that weird? No weirder or warped than the practices shown in this footage maybe...

Like formula for babies the milk replacer has everything the babies need.

A terrible unnatural prison for cows and people.
Part of the dreadful word " efficiency " in pharming today.

You have the choice to choose dairy-free products instead - they're available in all major supermarkets and incredibly creamy and delicious. Take a look at our favourite swaps here: viva.org.uk/vegan-swaps
