Well, it is even better to spend 10 bucks for a one hour tour on the sea than driving around downtown, at this time of the day. The sunset on the sea is unbelievable.
I studied there in 2008, trying to find something I remember, but the city has been built so much, cant recognize shit tho :) Cool thing tho that I have captured the Dalian City in a very Hi Def resolution of photos in 2008 on my Sony Alfa 100, so could do a reshoot and compare the city in 4K at least :)

Chinese each city is better than others city & it’s looks more western than Chinese in term of infrastructure that's the sad thing cz they are following western culture in spite of have their own traditional ancient rich cultural.

不是仿的，是俄国人当时仿照巴黎的样子建的
东港几年前填海建的新地，本来它就是中山区到最东头了 中山区居民十来 二十年间都搬别的地方去了，人少了。现在就剩银行和办公楼了。所以东港人非常少，除了去看看风景的和个别新公寓里住的 一般很少有人去

很多老建筑是殖民时期留下来的，城市的整体格调偏欧式，所以后来新建筑也都是欧式建筑，大连建城时间很短所以也没有中式的历史遗迹。
