Here in canton we have a nice creek that runs through the whole city! Nice small mouth, large mouth bass , rock bass, carp, catfish, I’ve even seen cropy before as well. Fun fishing!
Holy smallmouths, Batman..... Those were some tanks....I've got to get me some of those 😊
You just had a great summer catching all those, and you did it in 1 day. Awesome day!!!
MAN! You killed it. I'm Fired Up for some GMR SmallJaws this season✌️🎣
I can 💯 agree with you on Ohio creek fishing. I’ve been to plenty of different states fishing, but nothing compares to Ohio in my opinion!
If you can find some main river tribs in Ohio you can usually find a solid population of large smallmouth.
@@thecreekcrawler I’m basically on big Walnut Creek, so I’m almost always in em
What an awesome day of fishing! Truly enjoy your content. Thank you !
That first fish was an absolute BEAST!! It was also very beautiful with all those markings. Just caught my first smallies of 2024 yesterday (5-13-24). Had fun. Your content never disappoints...always useful and informative. TLF
Heck yea!! Better late than never. Keep at it! Thanks for the support!
Seeing lots of big smallies, huge carp, tons of suckers at my local creek (may or may not be the one you're fishing here). been catching big carp, haven't fished for the smallies yet
Another great video!
Brother, it's been a long time since I got to watch, but you killed it this time!
Great job out there! Some really nice smallmouth! You always do a great job and share some really good information. Keep doing your thing buddy! Definitely enjoyed watching this. Tight lines!!
What a perfect day in the creek! I'm going to give those Nikko leaches a try down here in KY and the next time I'm up your way.
The leech is phenomenal!! Absolutely one of my favorite finesse presentations!
Excellent time to get out and chase smallies. I'm going to give it a go next weekend. Typically this time of year and fall is when our most memorable trips come. You certainly had one brother. Blessings B
Gotta love that creeking. We do it a lot in east ky. Haven’t seen any beds as of today but have caught several females with eggs.
Those would be lake only SM in NY. We have them in creeks, but they’re just dinks. Impressive!
Can't wait to get back up home to Ohio next week and slay some of my secret smalljaw creeks!! you're more than welcome to join
Idk if this is a tributary lake erie, but all of the great lakes tributaries have phenomenal smallmouth fishing regardless of state. April and may you will absolutely hammer them left and right.
This is a trib to one of the main rivers that flow into the Ohio river down south. Love catching bigs outta knee shallow water.
@@thecreekcrawler agreed. My most looked forward to time of year. I fish NY lake erie tribs. Theres always atleast one day where I will catch multiple 3-4 pound fish, and over 30 fish total. It's absolutely phenomenal in the lower reaches pre spawn
Is that creek only full of jumbos!?!? I live in NE Ohio, near Akron so we have some good Smallmouth fishing in the Cuyahoga and its tributaries but nothing like that! Wow...
During the pre-spawn you can find the big ones! But yes they are there year around and can be super tough to get during the summer!
You have inspired me to hit these creeks in butler county haha. I’m gonna hit a nice canal in the morning first!
Awesome dude! Love wading for smallies but I only get 1-2 trips a year to do it. What’s your preferred leader knot?
I live here in Ohio as well I love walking creeks and watching buterball smallest! I'm not to far from Dayton either.
How is that combat stick treating you? I just got the jackhammer casting version. Caught some 5 and 6 lbs largies in Newark by columbus
I love the combat stick!!! This one has done pretty good with the jackhammer. I haven’t tried getting the actual jackhammer version.
@@thecreekcrawler nice. Kinda wanna get the spinning version. Nice over all rod (jackhammer) took some getting used to the slow speed of the rod but has done me well since I got it. Kinda heavy but I’m in love with it.
Was just wondering is that a line cutter on your rod? If so wht brand is it and where can I pick one up at?
@@thecreekcrawler 😂 my bad. Seen some line cutters that mount on ur pole for braid on vedios but can't seem to find them in store.
Those are some huge creek smallies. That creek looks really small. How can those fish thrive?
I live in Columbus.. What creek is this? Any suggestions on good spots in central Ohio?
Alum, big walnut, Hoover, little darby, scioto.. prettt much anywhere with running water there’s small mouth
You are surrounded by some amazing creeks. Get on google maps and go check em out! You will not be disappointed!
I never get tired of watching you rip lips
Truly appreciate the support man! I hope you’re crushing it this year!
Lets go in Jesus name sincerely "The Dayton Metro Smallmouth Slayer"🙏🙌🗣🕊🔥🦅🐟. P.S. I will be praying in Jesus name that you feel better brother CreekCrawler. Because there has been alot of sickness and sinus issues going on at the mental health hospital in Dayton also🙏🙌🗣🕊🔥🦅🐟.
Where at in Ohio creeks you fish. Keep up the good work
I typically use google maps to find creeks that flow into larger rivers.
How many times in a video can a guy say "frickin'?" Great camera work, though.
When I am catching fish like that its often my go to F word..just to keep it family friendly lol. thanks for watching!
I was fishing in the main tributary to Caesars Creek lake from my flat bottom boat and was able to pluck a turtle off a log a couple of weeks ago. Took it home, gave it an actual shower and scrub with a tooth brush (obviously tossed out the brush when done), let my kids/cat play with it, then put it back on the same log the next day bc i felt bad taking it from its home. I bet its telling the equivalent of our alien abduction stories to his friends, and has the polished shell to back it up.
Right lol you gave him the full treatment and probe lol
