This song is pretty hard for a beginner. Have you tried my "Thunder" tutorial by Imagine Dragons? It's a lot easier. I know you can do it. Just don't give up.

How do you mute your string? I still struggle trying to figure it out
Try just lightly touching your strings with your fingers. If you're pushing down on your strings, you may still hear a sound. I hope that helps.

I’m not entirely convinced B7 is the right chord. Sounds better with a B major root chord. Harder to play but oh well.
You can used whatever you’d like to fit what suits you. This is a feee tutorial that I’ve provided to give someone a jumpstart. Usually, my beginner Students don’t want to play a B barre chord, so the B7 is an alternative. Overall, I hope this helped you. Thanks and have a great day.

Nope, that's on purpose. With Kyser capos, they have a tendency to pull strings 6,5,and 4 out of tune because it's a single coil spring. I have to place it an an angle away from me to accommodate and distribute the pressure evenly so it doesn't pull my strings out of tune.
