    Hello Mr Taylor, my first ever comment on any video.Was in macduff last week to visit my grandmother thought I would go to white hills just to see what my luck was like and couldn't believe my child like joy at seeing Ming Ming floating off the end of the pontoon.What a beauty,so small,so tidy the best boat the best sailor,I suppose spoiler alert he gets back safely. As if there was any doubt!!

    I never cease to be amazed at your single minded committment to voyaging with Ming.....
    Many times over and with varied interests I struggle to make headway whether it be travels, restoration of rust buckets or simple everyday pleasures.....
    Never under estimate how blessed you are.....

    Hi Roger, you are an inspiration. I read Voyages of a simple sailor and noticed you had resided in Tasmania for a while. I live in Devonport Tasmania and have recently purchased a Sunmaid 20 with lots of adventures planned around Tassie. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

      Yes, I taught at New Norfolk High School for six months. LovedTassie, especially the west coast - Strahan, Mt Heemskirk and those wild beaches. Good luck with your plans.

    I am so excited to have found a whole new voyage to get into. You, sir, are an inspiration and watching your videos and reading your books has lead to me getting my own small boat in which to set sail. Before finding your voyages I believed one needed a large and expensive boat to do any serious sailing. You have shown that preparation and knowledge are the key

    What an absolute joy it is to see you and Mingming 2 again. You've been an inspiration to me. Since your last voyage I've solo sailed my Coromandel to the Netherlands and then sailed back across the North Sea. I'd've been on the Jester by now if it weren't for illness. I'll get there -- in no small way thanks to your videos and books.

    Little inspires me as much as the first video of a new Mingming voyage - thanks so much, really looking forward to the full story in due course.

    Sir, I enjoyed your book "Voyages of a Simple Sailor". If I remember correctly, you mentioned once you can handle about 100 days maximum at sea and then you are ready to come back in. Would you do a video on how you provision for so long a period at sea in such a small vessel? Thank you!

    • @exploreseafaring
      @exploreseafaring 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I second this idea. I would personally say 100 days with three meals a day would amount to at least 300 pot noodles.

    Wow, good to see you back out and about mate. Was starting to think you may have fallen of the perch. I asked you before when you put out a vid showing how you had the interior set up where you hid your head and what you use for it. Do you have a chem based model or something else. Be very interest to know what you've chosen to use and where you have it placed inside Ming Ming 2. Hope you can manage to get back to me and am looking forward to more of your adventures.

      Bucket and chuck it. Bucket is kept on a line in the cockpit, dipped over the side for a few inches if water then brought ito the cabin for the daily ritual. Works perfectly.

    J'ai lu tout vos bouquins et je suis admiratif pour tout ce que vous avez fait.
    mais je m'inquiète de votre silence et je viens très souvent sur votre site mais vous êtes silencieux.....

    Au plaisir d'avoir de vos nouvelles. Olivier

    When using auto focus cameras you have to stay steadier when looking at maps or it's just wasted minutes on video. Also, you can edit video and take out the bits that don't work so well or even shoot it again. You've got time on a voyage like that to try it again. Maybe get a steady cam or use a phone cam or go pro with image stabilization.
